When I was a teenager in the 1970s I had never heard of this song. My mom bought me this album and I played it by ear with my tenor sax. Now I play with my clarinet. She also bought me a Charlie Parker album and a few others. She knew nothing of jazz but she always supported my efforts💕
billevanstrio, thanks a lot for this upload! My favourite album of Gerry, originally released on Limelight in the mid60s, neglected by many purists because of the strings (some people are not able to really LISTEN!). This (title) track and THE LONELY NIGHT could be called the "real killer dillers" on this great forgotten record! Thx for lifting me "up to the clouds"!
@ensadinado You're welcome, I love so much this tune, there is something magic that I can't realize, something like to fly in the sky..... among clouds....

@jazzysbag Thanks Jazzybag, I love your bag too
Beautiful sounds... but is there an available CD?
@teaumanport The tube is magic
Anyone know where to find sheet music for this? I've found a couple but they're not in the same key as this version. I'd love to play along. ;-)
@billevanstrio it's a barisax not a tuba
@Mistereed08 The notes he uses are F#, A, B, C#, and E. Play around with those and you should figure it out
@hillbilly6767 I mean you-tube is magic, sometimes you can discover unknown tunes...
The only player who can play 12 standards that that I've heard many times before and get away with it.
Nina simone feeling good
he's talking about you'TUBE'
