Yeah but things arn't always under ideal conditions. As you see the driver didn't back to the very edge of the bank. If there's no burm, you should do exactly as this driver did and dump further away from the edge.
When I was stockpiling they'd build me a berm about a foot or two high and I'd dump over about all day before it had to be pushed up but everybody thought I was nuts because I was driving an old R-35 with no real brakes. Just have to pay attention and MSHA wouldn't like it too much.
khughesone1 I’ve operated them both too. In my opinion the 475 will out push the d11 slightly but not daily. Cat is the more durable machine as well as a better ride. Just my opinion.
***** That all depends on the applications that they are working in. In real abrasive rock, about 6 months. Softer material, such as clay like seen here, that tracks will hold up longer.
A good friend of mine got too close a few years ago ,, the bank gave away He , truck and all went over the cliff he of course was killed ,, you never know when your numbers up ,, .
spent many hours on a 10N doing this type of work. good video!
No I'm all over the state. This actually was not a mine but a big mine reclamation job. Project completed in September of 2009
nice video about cat 785b and euclid r 85.
The Caterpillar testing quarry doesn't have a slanted incline like that. They should set something up to capture use cases for slippages to the side.

Kind of risky dumping with no berm, at my mine I have to maintain half a tire truck hieght berm even if its dump and push
And it will still out rip a D11 any day
My Machine Komatsu 475 best Dozer operator ever!
How long do tracks last on these monsters?
