- Keith Siegel, the first American hostage to be freed under the terms of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire was paraded through Gaza by the terror group before being returned to Israel, along with two other hostages, Ofer Calderon and Yarden Bibas, held for nearly 500 days in captivity. The three were among the approximately 250 people kidnapped from Israel when the Hamas terror group attacked on Oct. 7, 2023. Under the terms of the ceasefire, the hostages are being freed in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. Bibas is the father of the two youngest hostages taken, Kfir and Ariel. Mark Chandler at Coastal Carolina University joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow to discuss the latest out of the Middle East.

Last week Hamas released four female soldiers (probably for that show on the stage), leaving a civilian named Arbel in captivity.
With that batch of exchange Israel was supposed to open a path for Gazans to go back north from the humanitarian zone. Since Hamas broke the agreed upon order of release, Israel responded by not allowing access to the north until Arbel is released. This put a lot of pressure on Hamas, as a huge amount of people had already packed to go back north and was stuck before the IDF's blocked zone.
After a negotiation, they came to an agreement that the corridor north would be opened in exchange for an additional hostage release on Thursday which would include Arbel. The release included Arbel, the last female soldier and an 80 year old man.

You completely missed the reason why there were two release events this week -
Hamas violated the terms in the previous release because they released 3 female soldiers before another civilian woman, so Israel halted the agreement earlier this week by not retreating from a certain passage. They re-negotiated for a day or two and agreed to do two releases this week in exchange for Israel opening the passage + releasing more terrorists from jail.
How come this people work in the news industry and they don't know why there were 2 hostage exchanges this week. Everyone knows why
