She also died in her sleep. Thank God, no pain, no illness or sickness & due to being asleep she didn't realize she had passed away. I can't think of a better way to go than that.

My husband passed in his sleep & I was told that is a kiss from God! My husband had many ailments and I worried about him so often. He had COPD & Emphysema. My niece which is a nurse told me that’s a horrible death! Losing him in 2020 has been the worst 2 years of my life. We were married 50 years! So like Betty getting to close her eyes and see her loving husband again I can’t wait to see my Jimmy where he waits for me in Heaven! I’m 72 tho and I don’t have to wait until I’m 99! RIP Betty, I know you are truly happy right now!

God Bless your Dear Mother, I lost mine in 1980 at the age of 23 years old, she was 56 on Memorial Day May29th I lost my Mother. Mom.....I still miss you Mom!
That's wonderful. My grandfather was 103. He was sharp and in great shape until just a few weeks before his passing. We all should be able to move on the same way. RIP Betty (and Grandpa).

Betty White was so special, and she gave us all so many wonderful moments in the entertainment world. My mom died at the end of November, and she was 99 and just three months shy of 100, so when Betty White died, it was hard to look at the news because of the similarity of her and my mom. They even looked a bit alike. I had so much fun watching The Golden Girls over the years. She gave us so many opportunities to laugh. And that is one of life's greatest gifts.
Thoughts and prayers to Betty's family and friends she was indeed a beautiful and funny lady. I still watch reruns of the golden girls. My mom was also 99 when she passed, 6 months shy of 100 ! Rest in peace sweet Betty, and be with your beloved Alan. ,😘

I was very saddened to hear of Betty's death, but the thought of her being reunited with her beloved Allen Ludden puts a smile on my face. RIP, Betty, and I hope that you and Allen are together for eternity. You were such a wonderful, caring person. Someone who loves animals as you always have is a bright star indeed.
Her love and care for animals touched me more deeply than even her talent for acting and great comedy.

I remember when Bob Hope died. A teen coworker asked how he died. Us older ( in our 40s at that time) both said " He was 99" . She asked what the cause was. Again, " He was 99. It was just his time". If I live as long(a couple weeks shy of 100) and still was as healthy and sharp as she was, what a gift that would be. And I have never heard anyone say anything negative of her. Since we also l9st Cloris Leachman and Ed Asner earlier in 2021, Betty was the last of the fabulous talent from Mary T. Moore show.

I've been around long enough myself to really appreciate this wonderous woman. She conveyed qualities of a real woman. Always positive and excelling in conveying that to the world. She was a great and gracious lady. She will be missed by all that loved her. and I was one of them . RIP Betty. and say Hello to Alan for us!. ECF.

Betty always did remind me of my grandmother who died a few years ago at the age of 103...perpetually young and very optimistic, full of love for everyone. she was in great health. No dementia no illness no injury...She trusted a family member to double check her decisions about money but she really did live independently and had no debt, no enemies, and no regrets! She had had a visitor that day. They came to see her after lunch...she saw them out and she went to take a nap and died in her bed in her own home. She had outlived all her siblings and her 3 children and had been widowed 3 times. She did not fear death. She was a woman of faith. When she died I thought, "WTG Grandma!! you won!!" And so did Betty White! 😊
She passed in a way that was a perfect ending to an amazing, full, nearly 100 years of life. To pass so gently in her sleep, concludes the gentle way she lived her life, and the gentle way she showed those around her how life should be lived. "See the positive" she would say when asked how she was still so healthy at her age. We all should.

My family lost one of my great-aunts in 2008, just 3wks shy of her 108 bday. She was born in N.C. Moved to Calif. when she got her teacher's degree. Retired @ 62. Was a substitute teacher age 62-67. Became full teacher@67-72. Began what later was laughingly called her "Farewell Tour", travelling U.S./ Canada to visit relatives. Was on "her deathbed @85 y.o. for 6wks. Recovered. Travelled until 103, when she began to limit travel, gradually, until 105. Finally, she slowed down. And was still planning a bday party for her 108, when she passed 3wks shy. Her secret for life? Just keep movin'!!

I was totally shocked when my daughter Mary told me!! I'm still in shock and terribly sad. Praying for her family, friends, co-workers and fans!!
I am a bit sad, but definitely not shocked. People rarely live as long as she did. The woman was born when Warren Harding was president! Celebrate her life but let's not be morbid.

I've watched the Golden Girls more than any other show in my entire life since I was a little girl far into adulthood and love her like family! We were all so blessed to have her as a loving light in this world! She left us with so many things to remember her by and will be long loved!!! We have seen the biggest gift was always you! I was saddened to hear about Betty’s passing and not making it to 100 like so many of us hoped she would (she passed on my birthday). I read on IG that someone said she and the other Golden Girls are up in Heaven eating cheesecake and it made me realize that, while unintentional, it was fitting that my bday cake this year was a cheesecake.
Betty will be very missed and even though she didn’t quite make it to 100, I feel like she should be an honorary 100. She was a true treasure and we’re all lucky to have lived on this earth at the same time as her.

I have never felt so good and warm every time I seen this particular person on television she just choose something that was so beautiful and it was just counter screen I've never been in her presence but I've always felt like golden when I was you and her on television I'm sure she's going to be missed by friends and family I know she's up in heaven making everyone feel wonderful

It's the last day of 2021, we have lost the unforgettable, remarkable, sensational Betty White. Just an awful way to end the year by losing a legend. I'm saddened to hear she's gone. Betty White will be missed. I know she was 99 but I honestly expect her to go on living forever. She seemed almost untouchable. She was a gift from God to us all. There are very few people as special as her! She was kind, caring, given, loving and so funny. Her humor was endless & flowed so easily. I loved how she could insult you with a smile. God gave us a true treasure more value & precious than anything money could buy! I guess he decided it was time for Betty White final curtain call. He decided to bring home the extraordinary Betty White! I just know she's has everyone in heaven laughing!

She may be gone from us physically but, she left an incredible legacy for us to enjoy for the next 100 years and beyond. My husbands father lived to 98 his uncle kust passed away at 102...I told my husband long ago I expected him to be the Southern gentleman I know he is and let me go through the exit door first...I am 74 he is 79 and I am counting on him living to 100...my family usually leaves this earth in their 80s.
