@@ericparker163 that's not a problem as long as your stance is good and your arm from the shoulder to the wrist go in a straight line through the cue ball. Not Brett's, evidently 😂
I don’t pretend to understand the UA-cam business. These videos seem so high quality versus higher volume channels. The videos look better but the analysis is better too. Kudos to such a fine effort.
With this year's draft probably being stacked with WRs and QBs going early. I'm kinda hoping the Bears trade back into the 13-16 range and praying Verse is still there. But being totally fine with OT if he's not. Pick up a day 2 pick. Hell worst case scenario in this..we trade back a little further and take Jackson Powers.
I was told that fsu sucked just because our backup freshmen lost to the starters of one of the best college teams in the country. Now it seems like everyone wants our players funny how that works out...
I know it's simply how the NFL has trended in recent years, but I can't help but chuckle at a 255-pounder being described as a "big heavy edge". 15 years ago, we called that a middle linebacker.🤣🤣
Good chance Verse is playing olb in a 3-4 scheme. Suggs was like 6-3 265 20 years ago. Seems pretty close. Sidenote that mfer played all way til 2019 (started 2003) and had 6.5 sacks, double digit sacks at 11 in 2017. What a long and successful career.
This dude is an alpha. He has a lot of similarities to Aaron Donald. Growing up with a great father, underestimated all the time, hard worker, powerful, destructive to other teams, and mature due to upbringing. The only difference from Aaron Donald is that AD is a little more polished and Jared Verse is a little too playful and loud. AD was all business.
Hey Brett. With the rise of the new generation of pass rushers like T.J. And Garrett and Parsons as well as Donald retiring still at the top of his game, I would love if you could revisit a Khalil Mack and remind people that he is still a generational player. I think he gets under appreciated because he hasn’t played for winning teams the last few years, but I still remember your Apex Predator video about him and it made me fall in love with analyzing pass rushers and watching the trenches for the first time. I hope one day he can go and get a ring somewhere but, we’ll see. Great video though❤️
Turner is more explosive. Depends on scheme. Could be like a flexible D-line/Outside linebacker (micah parsons like role) whereas Verse is a 4-3 DE. Turner also went to Bama and people like that.
Another great one Brett, the only thing I would add is that Verse played in the ACC. I would be great to see how Verse do against a Trent Williams, Ronnie Stanley, Rashawn Slater or Penei Sewell.
Very good analysis. Liked your corley and latu videos better because it was more work involved. Verse is kinda easy since he is nfl ready and doesnt have any glaring weaknesses. Tampa bay is at 26 and i have been liking chop Robinson at that position. I would ve appreciative if you did a video on him.
I remember seeing the opening footage like a month ago when you posted it on Twitter and getting excited for the Jared Verse episode…it didn’t disappoint
Bears will take Verse or Turner at 9. Hard to say which one is better but one will be available and they can't wait till later in draft to address the position. Wide reciever quality will still be available later unlike defensive end.
I always end up taking a hiatus from this channel, but whenever I click on a vid and see the absolute vibe Brett creates with his openings its like linking up with the homie.
Unrelated to the actual content, but the thumbnails you’ve been using for this years scouting reports are FIRE🔥🔥🔥 If I was a player I’d find a way to get a blown up printout of mine lol
Bro I havent thought about Whitney mercilus in a hot minute but im now having flashbacks to when him and jj watt were on the same defense and it’s scary
I'm no genious when it comes to evaluating players, but I feel like the top 3 edge rushers Latu, Turner, and Verse could all be the "best" edge in the class just depending on what you're looking for. Lautu I think is the best pass rusher and he's okay as a run defender, but isn't going to be dropping back into coverage. Turner will drop in coverage and has a great motor but isn't as good at setting the edge or getting to the qb. Verse will get to the qb and is good at setting the edge but won't be dropping into coverage. If you're a team that values having a coverage guy definetly get Turner, or if you want a great pass rusher get latu, or if you want someone setting the edge get Verse. They're all great just at different things so it really comes down to what your defense wants to do.
There is a similarity between pool and edge rushers apart from angles. A huge part of performance comes from the stance. Get to the play/table in a chaos means you have no idea what you're doing and your technique, consequently your performance is going to be "suboptimal". No offense meant Brett, love the analogy and love your videos!
The Chicago Bears select Jared Verse FSU with the 9th pick come on he looks like a Bear and his dad was a Marine he would be perfect at Soldier Field!👍🏼🧸⬇️
Great vid! Is power the number 1 trait to look for in an EDGE? Get off, bend, etc. Who are three of the top EDGEs in terms of power in the league right now?
Hey Brett, Why does it seems this draft is so weak at interior lineman, especially at the NFL 3tech position? Do you think that the Olineman seem to be so good this year due to the lack of enough standout interior Defensive lineman (even DE's (not Edges) this year)? Are we looking at Fools gold for these interior guys and some of these tackles? Man is there at least one 3tech in this draft that we seem to be overlooking? (really bummed that I cant find a interior that can play 3tech in this draft before before what seems very late 2nd round (Am I wrong?)..
He'd fit well as edge 2 with Montez Sweat in Chicago. I think there will be a run on WRs early. He or Byron Murphy would make me happy. I'd be over the moon if we got Dallas Turner who is Khalil mack imo
Mercilus (mercyless) is hands down the best name for a beast that can rush the passer like he did....so Brett if he can rush the passer and stop the run equally as well, does that make him Multi-Verse ?
How much of Verse's succes is based on those around him. Ryan Sims got drafted in round 1 by playing inside next to Julius Peppers. Sims did nothing. Is Fiske propping up Verse or is Verse impacting the play for everyone else?
Verse was considered a top 10 pick last year and returned to school this year that says a lot I believe Fiske was only playing alongside him this year because he transferred to Florida state this year he’s a very good player
Brett might know a thousand times more football than me, but after this video atleast I know I could beat him in pool.
Real talk. Gotta get some finesse in the mix Brett, you're hitting the cue ball way too hard.
@@ericparker163 that's not a problem as long as your stance is good and your arm from the shoulder to the wrist go in a straight line through the cue ball.

Yeah we saw
Welcome to the Rams Mr. Verse. Great value at 19 wow
Having watched Verse at FSU the last 2 years, he’s such a freak and his best games are when the lights are brightest
He's an animal. Perfect wide 9 fit, just needs to improve somewhat in run defense, but the flashes are there in that regard as well.
Having watched your girl fellating homeless dudes for the last 2 years, I can tell you, she's a freak

The pool scene intro 😂
As an fsu fan i had the pleasure of watching him live the last 2 games just lay left tackles into the qb. Gonna be a stud
I don't get why people say to draft Turner if you want an athlete when Verse has a better RAS. Better production + better testing = better prospect
Turner is more explosive. Depends on scheme. Could be like a flexible D-line/Outside linebacker (micah parsons like role) whereas Verse is a 4-3 DE. Turner also went to Bama and people like that.
film tells you way more about athleticism and traits than RAS + box score
Hope he falls to the Saints. They should run to the podium if he's still there

Might be an out of nowhere comp, but he reminds me of old Falcon John Abraham. Hopefully the Falcons also think similarly.
Abraham in his prime was one of the best pass rushers of all time
As an up and comer on youtube, your videos are a benchmark. Great production, and the breakdowns are always on point. Salute to you
I like this video length for these kind of player profiles. long enough to learn something not to long to get lost on the minutia
Geometry and physics is important in pool, but you still have to shoot straight in order to apply them into your game

Seen every game he played at FSU. Somebody is gonna be happy they drafted him.
Do you plan on doing breakdowns of the centers in the class? I wonder if Powers-Johnson or Frazier are going to maybe slip a bit due to runs at tackle
