I can tell its history from Germany colonialism, the Herero and Namaqua rebellion and genocide, the Apartheid under South Africa (South West Africa), the Freedom and Sam Nojuma participation, I know Katutura when Kenya peace keepers were in Namibia in 90s under UN. I know your athletes like Fredricks, and the two upcoming ladies (Mboma and Masilingi). We also joke about Namibia population, how Windhoek streets are empty. I know Namib and Kalahari deserts, great and best roads in Africa, etc. I can say a lot about Namibia. Much of this especially history and geography, I learned from school. But the current, is from own personal interests in understanding fellow African countries.

The history we learned in Kiswahili's Fasihi, is that the people who are called Swahili today are descendants of lost Bantu tribes that had their culture and language that was not Swahili. But they adopted this language that emerged out of interaction between the Bantu people and Arabs in the coastal region, and their own became extinct over time.
Namibias flag was influenced by Kenyan flag!! Sam Nujoma the first president got a lot of aid from Kenyan doctors, teachers, Kenyans literary helped establish Namibia as a country, I'm surprised that this Namibia students weren't taught the role Kenyans played for their country!!

Just to respectfully correct you, Swahili is one of the smallest tribes in Kenya but the language Kiswahili is the most widely spoken not just in Kenya but the entire East Africa. Swahili people are mostly a products of Arabs and Africans. There also Swahili people who don't have African blood. These are descendants of Arabs from Oman and other Middle East countries who came to the East African coast afew centuries ago. Kiswahili language is a mixture of African languages and Arabic. Swahili is not a majority tribe Kikuyu is but we choose Swahili to be our national language because many people speak and it is simple to understand
