Thank you for watching this series!
you have no idea how much i loved this series from the bottom of my heart. I for years was searching for some of the sounds in this series, one of them being gothic americana. this series is a showcase of those times when artists make their masterpiece but it doesnt get as much attraction as the popular one. bless you for making this!
I enjoyed all three of thesevideos, I missed the three of your talking about stuff and I am very happy to see you all together again, and of course to see that Patrick is doing better!
Nice four songs. Loved them all. The first one I have on my mega, all sorts playlist. It made me look back on another soaring tune Mørklagt by Sylvaine, which allways make me emotional.
Good consept for you videos, guys👍
Periphery IV and Periphery V are two must listens.
Trivium Shogun waiting room.
Also Metallica Seattle 89
yes please
The first thing I notice when I'm listening to music is the vocals.
If I am not enjoying the vocals it's going to be hard for me to enjoy the other instruments being performed.
Example would be Devil Driver, I can't get behind the vocalist from that band, but I really like what the instruments are doing.
When I do listen to a band for the first time and I am enjoying what the vocals are doing, I then begin to hear for the nuances in the song that peek my interest.
I agree that if you're not vibing with the vocalist it's very hard to enjoy the band overall.
That Periphery song reminded me of DMC5 Vergil theme
YES! I was coming to comment this. Edit: NOT ONLY does he say bury the light, parts of the vocal melody are the exact same.
That thumbnail gives me tingles in my fun place.
Have never explored Synthwave before but am intrigued now.
I would start with Scandroid. It is Klayton's (Celldweller, Circle of Dust, FiXT record label) synthwave project. High quality recording really well written songs half of which have vocals and the other half of which are instrumental. It has the inclusion of guitars but they're not the focal point of the song at all it is definitely synth and drum based.
patrick i dont know if you read this or not, but if youre read this please consider to react to Dream Theater - Train of Thought album with chris and another chris. the album is very thrashy with a lot of progressive elements. i would appreciate it so much if you do it🙏.
