    Thanks Peter. Don’t worry about the disclaimer. I know this is required and you make the best of it.

    This is exactly what I need. Thanks.

    The clarity of the image featuring the bike is compromised by the sharply defined figures of the person and dog in the background. This aligns with Excire's decision, as reducing their sharpness would enhance the overall quality of the image.

    Thank you for this video Peter. I purchased this software a day before seeing your video, so unfortunately did not use your affiliate link.
    One thing- your video is titled “I need this” - however it’s not clear to me from your video what about this software makes it something you need. Can you explain what you find most useful about this software, and how you use it in your workflow?

    • @ForsgardPeter

      No worries. I will make some more content about this software. In those I will explain more why I need it.

      @@ForsgardPeterthank you Peter, I’ll look forward to that. I have a giant mess of a photo collection, and I’m hoping this software will enable me to organize it quickly. Instead of what would probably take me years to organize what I have, I’m hoping this software can get it done by the end of this year.
      I use Lightroom, and am curious to learn a workflow to use Excire Foto along with Lightroom to organize my massive collection.
      Thanks again!

    Quite interesting, but a bit expensive for private use. Do you know if it runs completely on your machine or do they use any cloud service in the background (as is often the case with ai-powered software)?

    • @ForsgardPeter
      @ForsgardPeter  Рік тому +3

      I think it runs on your computer and does not use cloud.

    Does Excire Foto and Search have the same search functionality. I'm thinking that the full program would be better as it has AI to assist.

    Can it train itself?
    version 2022 was pretty crappy with faces. Shame we can't tell the software which are good matches and which are bad, to help train it do better next time

    • @ForsgardPeter

      It cannot. I know that would be cool if it could. This new version works better than the previous version. It is still not perfect and it does not have to be. I have been happy with older version as I am now with the newer version.

      @@ForsgardPeter Good for you. I know I'm not happy. AI can do so much today, and yet no company can provide a decent, trainable software with regular updates, even for more than a 100$.
      Sure, Excire 2024 is nice (I'm currently trying the trial version) but it's nowhere near perfect, and that's a shame

    If it's available for mobile units, sure thing. But I have my doubts that anyone will be as flexible and good as Adobe 😬

      Excire Foto is something that Adobe does not have, at least yet.

    Only works for Portrait or wedding photography in my opinion - sadly

    • @ForsgardPeter
      @ForsgardPeter  2 місяці тому +1

      Wedding and Portrait photographers can handle their images without this software. It is quite easy to keyword those. I think it comes in handy when there are wide selection of different subjects. That type of photos are a lot harder to keyword and Excire will help a lot.

      @@ForsgardPeter I understand your view. I tried it with many types of wildlife photos and was not of much benefit. That is where I am coming from

    A photo organiser that costs more than a years subscription of capture one. Not impressed by the UI (HUGE top margin that only accommodates zoom slider and search buttons. Old, non-ribbon, menu. AI is not great. Searched for something as simple as "sea" and only a fraction of relevant images came up. And aesthetics score is so bad that I don't know why they included it.
    Photoshop elements organizer isn't great but remains better than this

    • @ForsgardPeter

      I have found a lot use for this. It is not perfect, but it gets the job done. Have not tried Elements search and organising feature. At least looking at Adobes video about it, it seems quite basic. Does it have all the same search possibilities as Excire has?

    • @johnpap9328
      @johnpap9328 Місяць тому

      @@ForsgardPeter I've been using elements for 20 years and not only is it basic but also hasn't changed much in the last two decades. I didn't find Excire much different other than the AI feature that's not working well for me. Elements also has face recognition which is a pain anyway. But it has a timeline bar on top that is pretty useful for finding photos by month. And that's better than Excire.
      My point is that what I'm getting with Excire is virtually similar to what I got with my last purchase of elements some 10 years ago for less (120 euros including Photoshop elements editor, that I never used anyway). Inadequate AI and bad UI.

      Search. It was so inaccurate that it was perfectly useless. Missed many subjects and misidentified just as many. Put a lot of crap into my metadata.

      Same here. It was pretty inaccurate, especially with faces. Apple did a better job 10 years ago. Shame they don't want to let PC user use their tech.

    Since I do not use closed operating systems, it is out of the question for me, so it is rather uninteresting for me.
