N.O. JUSTICE Description:
After facing off against the Russian Bratva a final time, Alex Shepherd resumed his identity as Deputy Troy Wilson in South Texas. Settling in with his fiancée and police K-9 Kruger, he hoped that his past was finally behind him.
But when a Louisiana State Trooper shoots an unarmed man during a late-night traffic stop, unrest descends upon his former hometown and one of his friends from his former life is killed in an ambush. Shepherd reluctantly returns to New Orleans hoping to pay his respects and remain anonymous, but instead finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy that threatens to drag the entire country into a new Civil War.

The look on your face when you said that is why I keep watching these.
The first "bombs" dropped are definitely Hellfires but the 2nd drop looked to me more like modified Paveways.
@@donkeysunited Nope, it's a Hellfire. If you look at it when it drops out of the bay, you can see the paint bands in the correct spots for it to be a Hellfire.
The nose is also pretty obviously not the wobbly laser seeker cranium from a Paveway-series bomb.

I wonder if the F-22 demo footage is the reason for the F-22 CAS.
And more tongue-in-cheek, if the F-22 demo footage is the reason for the whole movie. Somebody saw that and said, _"You know what would make this better?? If we CGI a burning city into the background. Then we just need to come up with an excuse... Oh, I know! Nobody's done an alien invasion action movie in at least five minutes, so the market is wide open!"_

It's interesting that they bothered to do it wrong. But it is a convention in film making to rearrange stuff to communicate the general idea of a scene as clearly as possible to a general audience. 99.99% of people will never notice.
The hero in a movie pretty much always goes from left to right when advancing. And right to left when retreating or finished. It seems insanely dumb, but audiences are so used to seeing it that way after 100 years of movies that most people find it surprisingly confusing when a movie does it the other way around. It's common in Film 101 classes to do some surveys of the class "what's happening in this scene?" with flipped versions of the same clip without context. And the students will say "he's running away" if it's a shot of somebody going right to left. So stuff gets fudged to get the hero prop framed right in the shot at the right time.

His reaction was awesome and telling but I have to admit I needed him to identify the error. Despite my ridiculously many hours on p.c. flight sims in games, I'm in no way a real pilot. If they thought about it, I'll bet the film production was thinking - "if any one notices this, we will just say the stick was futuristic 'plug-and-play' designed for the left-handers decades hence ...." Though, I really do get your comparison to some other movies who do stuff wrong - we wouldn't do it that way, the old Greeks and Romans wouldn't try it like that and not even the Neanderthals would think it a good way to do it. Hollywood is famous for some of the "this looks so neat so let's not ask the AF or NavAir or etc ... costs money - and this looks too neat to us." I wonder what it was sold as to the real operator as to how some of the shots were to be included.

Lol! I told my wife last night as we watched this scene " uh oh... Mover's going to have a heart attack at this F-22 stick location". She looked at me like I was one of the aliens in the movie.
I really enjoyed the few seconds shot of the pilot in the cockpit with the gopro seemingly on a gimbal. Showing off those cool turns of the jet. Wish I could see more of that in films.
You know, the notion that all they had left was hellfires minus fuel and beat to hell raptors from the boneyard actually fits with the premise of the film haha.
That stick in 9:17 is actually a thrustmaster warhog HOTAS, The A-10 uses the F-15 throttle lever and the f-16 stick. So you are right about it being from an f 16
“Mover Ruins Movies” is the best name. Never change it.
Unless the Raptors were sent to the future from the past in an attempt to rearm the resistance. They did say that military arms and what not were sent to the future earlier in the movie. Don’t get me wrong I thought the idea of using the raptor to bomb something was stupid, looks cool as hell but still dumb.
About as dumb as believing that you have to fly close to the ground to do CAS. WTF are smart weapons for? Let them bridge the "danger gap" and pickle from a stand-off distance/altitude.
The A-10 is just cool because it is intimidating to adversary ground troops in a COIN-type operation.
The Aliens don't have any radar or air defences, so why would the resistance be re-armed with stealthy air superiority fighters?
The resistance would get a lot more use from low-cost attack aircraft, such as the Tucano, and flying bomb trucks like the B-52.

Stick is on the left because this is a mirrored universe/timeline, where the aliens are winning. When they succeeded and defeated the invasion, the universe/timeline would continue to have stick on the right like it was…

For some reason I didn't pick this movie apart while watching as I usually do with SiFi movies. It either got my attention enough that I ignored the issues or it was late at night and I was too tired to care. At any rate I enjoyed it.
I can only imagine F-16 XL replace the Raptor. It makes much more sense and the role is also fit for CAS.
Is it me or during the CAS scene, it looked like one of the "bombs" fell through the F22 as it didn't look like the doors opened to me.
The stick shot was clearly mirrored in the editing floor. This isn't the first time I've seen mirror shots for cockpits so I'm curious if public affairs deems it necessary since it's somehow still unclassified info (I'm not saying it is but I wouldn't be surprised if some document somewhere says so).

Around the 2/3 rds mark of the movie they fly over a half sunk Carrier and I shit you not you can see a F-14 on the deck at the water line.

Two things I appreciated from Terminator Salvation is the use of the HK MK23 by Christian Bale and especially the A10s.

What would be a fun movie is where the alien invaders in the beginning have their craft using Hollywood tactics, but Earth forces are using sensible tactics. As the movie goes along the alien craft do take losses, but they steadily get smarter (or at least avoiding the dumber stuff). Turns out the alien craft are all drones, and are being churned out rapidly (i.e. similar to the construction rates of 'Planetary Annihilation' or 'Supreme Commander'), meaning the aliens can afford to take losses while learning lessons. For example the alien aircraft do go nose-to-tail through the city streets, but Earth helicopters are able to use their maneuverability to take shots at the alien craft from the rear.
T - 30 , it’s not the Space Shuttle made me laugh out loud in the airport !😂 hilarious. Love the show and all ya shows mover!
I loved this movie. I think the volume of inaccuracies made it work, made it more of a “monster movie”. It’s hilariously bad at times 😂
I told the wifey there’s absolutely no reason to be that low, they’d be dropping JDAM from 10k+ bay doors open and I just shut my mouth.
The whole never reloading while shooting full auto with 30rd mags killed me though. Then. Then. There was one person who decides to reload and guess what, dead. Nice plot point *rolls eyes*
Not only did they never reload but they had ordinary civilians with NO WEAPONS TRAINING shooting full auto ON TARGET with seemingly no problems. That bothered me to no end.
@@professorchaos5689 Sending them in with no briefing on what enemy targets look like, where their weak points are and that 5.56mm ammo does diddly squat to their frontal armour.

When I saw the F22 taking off from airport to for bombing run and also the fingertip flying, I wished for Mover to review the scene. I mean on CAS mission even a good aviation enthusiast would know, there is no better option than mighty A10 Warthog. But Hollywood thinks differently.
The stick is a Thrustmaster Warthog A-10 stick. It's a 1:1 replica flight stick for gaming and simpits. I have one sitting next to me. Got a pretty hearty chuckle when I saw it.
As soon as I saw that scene in the movie, I had a strong feeling a Mover Ruins Movies episode was coming!

The sticks are similar from photos. The big thing is it's mirrored (the pickle button placement gives it away) so it appears to have originally been a shot of the correct side (stick on right) and then mirrored so it looks like it's from the left. This makes it more awkward since it means it was originally the correct side.

I feel ya on some of the scenes. Some of the Hollywood made ground combat movies are such cringe at times but the ones that get it right like American Sniper are VERY hard to watch. Too real for me.

Hey Mover…I spotted the left-handed stick gaff as well! Inverted image! Look closely at your Thrustmaster Warthog….buttons reversed on the stick is part of the tell. I have a couple of 737 cockpit pix that make me look like a captain, even though I haven’t upgraded yet!🤣🤣🤣

The castelations are a bit bigger than my TM Warthog, but I think they did change the design slightly at some point.

The lone survivor has a short air support scene that is really cool. would be cool to do a video breaking down the short scene.

The movie wasn’t terrible but I cracked up when the Vietnam vet said he was “in a dark place.” That made me crack up so hard! Also I guess we never switched to LPVOs and the 6.5 weapons that 3 companies are currently competing to build currently? Also somehow the humvee survived the switch we just did to the mrap too?

As soon as I saw the stick I cringed. Only because I knew what was coming. I was not disappointed! Another smashing review so to speak.
As I commented about in the last MRM - whenever there's a "cool flight stick" needed, Hollywood uses a Thrustmaster Cougar or Warthog setup. That's why every jet movie seems to use a Viper-style stick. They even used one in Interstellar for the docking system.
Except the Mandalorian. He used couple of T.16000Ms 😂

Considering how much Michael Bay loves to boyscout our military in Transformers films, you literally have a ton to review and i hope you don't mind reviewing them.
You did review some of the military aircraft from the 1st flick but it was just a portion. Part 2 has tons of military action from fighter jets, bombers, tanks, vehicle warfare, a submarine, a battle ship, aircraft ordinance drops, etc to even soldier engagements and a drone shot and more. Most look like the real thing imo. The opening also has a long military sequence, almost like special ops.
Mover...@ 9:13, the F-22 stick is technically on the correct side (right side) when they film it. The picture was flipped in Post, which is why the control is now on the left. This was an editing decision, probably to match the continuity of the other shots in the sequence. Very common trick. But originally, this is Camera on pilot left, aimed on the right hand control.
They made a conscious decision to be wrong. Doesn't matter how or why.

Mover, they send them in time with no armor, AR-15 and no training. The AR-15 had no recoil on full auto and 30 round box lasted for seems like 500 shots. Funny thing was when AR ran out the 9mil did the job. You are too generous in your review of this movie. Looking forward to reading your novel.

The best exchange in this movie was following Chris Pratt's "Dan" explaining to Sam Richardson's Charlie how to lock-and-load his rifle.
Charlie: How do you know how to do all this? How are you so calm?
Dan: That's a LOOONG story.
Charlie: You're ex-military?
Dan: Yeah....I guess it wasn't that long.
As for the planes and weapons they chose to use...in the real world, yeah, it's a choice the producers made and could have been better. But in the story, they said the human race is down to a population of about 500,000 people. Use what you have any way you can, because that was the desperate final hours of humanity.
They did use 'copters and drones later in the movie, also. They obviously just wanted the cool looking jets for this scene.
They did, but not Apaches.. I should've said gunships not just helos. Odds of F-22s being airworthy with less than 500k people? Zero.
I know it's not really an airplane but can you do the Oblivion aircraft vs drone scene while Tom Cruise is trying to escape the drones which are chasing him

The irony is the the least advanced planes like the A-10 and B-52 outlast the cutting edge fighters by decades. Probably the AC-130 will be the same.

hey Mover I just saw the part a 9:00 where the stick is on the wrong side of the pit. I'm thinking it's gotta be a reverse image somehow because the stick is configured right isn't it? I mean I've never heard of a left handed stick so that's why it makes sense it has to be actually correct but reversed image. What do ya think?
