I played flute for 10 years. But of course, I'm not a professional musician. Still, I think this is a more varied and contoured performance than Galway. I enjoyed this much more. This orchestral arrangement, too, allows for better flow of the flute. I've wondered about what it must be like to have that much talent--to be able to play like Bouriakov or Rampal or Galway.
OMG IM IN THE SAME SITUATION! I'm also in 8th grade and my private lesson teacher just gave me this solo for Solo & Ensamble, a required contest for students of our school district.

This is an amazing piece, your performance is fantastic and you make it look so simple! It would be so great to be able to play this piece with a full orchestra! Way to go ;-)
this is incredible... but the flautist in the ensemble has to take it down a notch, it seems the soloist is almost fighting at times to be heard over him lol
wow that was really good! i listened to a piece that sir james galway did and i think you may have done better! well the only thing about your performance was that you didnt bring out the low notes as good as he did but your fingers and articulation, i thik were better than his!
WHOA AAA!Dude slow this down to 80 or 90bpms even Galway doesn't play this like that... I heard none of the technique. The second Var ? where did it go? I know you must have had a time constraint on this but really?
did anyone else notice the page turning itself at 2:35? but he keeps his composure and plays from memory for the next bit. awesome!!!
That's crazy

the amount of practice and effort required to play this piece, especially with such a beautiful sound is astounding! props to this guy!
His double tongue 😭 ITS BEAUTIFUL. N LIKE EVERYTHING THAT HE PLAYS IS BEAUTIFUL 😭
UDG.?!
look at where he puts his flute on his lip! :o
that's so weird.
That is probably why he cannot play very well!! Oh, wait a minute, I think maybe he can lol
Estoy aqui por la clase de artes
Like si sólo vienes por tarea
No me la creo si vengo por eso
Si vengo por eso x2 jaja :v
Yo igual jaja
UDG?
Igual :0
I just finished the 8th grade and my private lesson teacher just gave me this solo to play at contest. I think he's trying to kill me. 😅
haha same! i look at the score and i think to myself..... -___-
OMG IM IN THE SAME SITUATION! I'm also in 8th grade and my private lesson teacher just gave me this solo for Solo & Ensamble, a required contest for students of our school district.
Its been 2 years, 1 year, and 7 months ago respectively for you three. How's the outcome of it?
There are different versions with different variations. Yours is probably Genin or Briccialdi.
Haha. He's so tall! It makes the flute look almost comically small in his hands.
Bravo, though! Awesome job! I actually really like this arrangement.
beautiful tune but all i can think of is Fred lighting a giant fire under a chimney with a good buzz going lol
Quien vino por un solo pto trabajo xd
Yo jaja
Que trabajo les pusieron? Xd
Yo nomas vine porque esta obra uff.
i just dont know words for this in english so oll write it in german^^
spielerisches Können auf höchstem Niveau, respekt.

Impressive double tongue!!
wow!!! was the page flipping planned! how did it happen!!!! hhaaha
@4znhatred yeah they teach that after about 15 years playing flute right?
the page that turns with the air flow only increases the difficulty!! it's better today with digital tablets .. provided it does not break down !!
Grande lavoro Denis. Un perfetto contributo alla memoria del mio defunto concittadino: Giulio Briccialdi il pifferaio magico.
flawless performance
Wonderful playing! I love the arrangement too.
Note left thumb position.
That must bother all those flute posture perfectionists!
hmm very good. I want to see him play the Mike Mower version of Carnival of Venice. Now that would be quite awesome.
Great facility and fabbo playing - love the page blowing over at 2:37! No probs and straight right hand pinky go boy!
Lovely!! His performance is exquisite! A solo we flutists should all enjoy and play!
Denis, you are one of the best young flautist of the world!
Compliments! And ad majora semper!
@napunseki

Good thing you had it memorized or else youwouldve been a goner!!
Ñe me la pelan v:
More than excellent!!!!how come this video has smaller sound than other ones?
There's nothing wrong with his tone. It's just very poor video quality.
That was beautiful! I can only play bits and pieces of the song. Makes me want to try harder.
碉堡技术!
Low C flute? (No low B)
Is this arrangement available for purchase?
I had contacted him directly to ask, but as yet have not heard anything. I'm still researching
Tremenda obra maestra 10/10 😍
this is incredible... but the flautist in the ensemble has to take it down a notch, it seems the soloist is almost fighting at times to be heard over him lol
His wonderful performance Ìs captivating, and intriguing, and exhilarating and off the charts
@napunseki
of course!
"Did ya like that"
did you like that!
most would not want to check that out... not one of the best flute-piano versions
100
Браво!
😮😮That sounds too good, thank you for bringing me such a beautiful melody. 😮😮

He had a flight to Tokyo airport to catch, so he played it faster than usual.
