5:39 that is a blast cabinet, you’re right that it cleans parts more specifically like rust or paint removal. You basically put your arms in the holes/gloves and pickup a tool connected to an air hose, that sprays media or sand out and removed rust or paint.
We have them at work to blow off grind dust from our weld helmets.

15:30 No matter what don’t feel any way about not knowing something especially with cars always ask if you want, a good passionate mechanic or technician will explain - a spark plug is made of very conductive metals and if you look at the end of one there’s a pointed tip and a curved part, basically it creates a little lightning bolt or “spark” hence the name which ignited the gasoline in the engine at the correct time so that way your engine moves, moves the transmission and moves the wheels.
That is such a helpful explanation! As someone who gets insecure about what they don’t know, thank you for taking the time to educate us and give us all a great reminder to be curious and ask someone!

4:40 that computer and the T on it plus the round parts below the orange cones is the entire alignment rack/machine. The round parts are there to make it easier to adjust the alignment, the T thing/computer is what’s used to check the alignment angles of the vehicle to see what needs alignment, where and how much. Pretty cool.

22:52 those tubes are put over muffler tips to send the toxic exhaust gases out of the building, usually into a vent above or out a hole that’s usually put into the garage door or wall.

21:17 those yellow metal “arms” are placed under the strong points of a vehicle to be lifted in the air - there’s companies that install lifts that are certified to inspect them properly for safety. Some mechanics will install their own lifts, I’d rather have a specialist install them tbh

22:30 that press is for pressing apart and together suspension parts and more. Not every part on a vehicle is bolted together, a lot of stuff is also pressed together, and that makes quick work of it rather than hammering something for a long time - and the press is safer than hammering

1:20 Shocks are what absorb and slow your vehicles bouncing. Good way to tell if your springs/shocks or in some cases struts(springs and shocks combined, usually found on the front of vehicles) are bad is if your vehicle bounces a lot/feels like a boat going down the road.

12:10 that I do believe is a battery tester - it prints the results so you can show the customer that way they know they’re not being scammed. It will tell you the battery size, crank amps, and more all of which is on your battery so if something doesn’t add up that could be sketchy.

10:38 Those are “sockets” all types of sizes, lengths, and functions for different types of fasteners nuts or bolts on vehicles. Cool tip the chrome ones aren’t recommended for power tools because those are a harder metal and can shatter/explode when they break. The matte black sockets are impact sockets and are actually a softer metal that won’t explode and are meant for power tools.
I'd say you should be a mechanic but you are most likely one.
