I am a "leather holster" guy, but for IWB leather holsters need a lot more engineering than this has. Did you try carrying with the leather IWB holster? Did you try reholstering after drawing? I'd be willing to bet that the holster would collapse as soon as the firearm is withdrawn. If you need to buy cheap and don't mind stiffing the American worker, go with the kydex.
Kydex holsters are so cheap to mass produce, American manufacturers have a decent profit margin.
Yeah... makes sense. I suppose that is the case with any soft holster. It will never be as easy to re-holster as a harder variant or a leather one with an internal support. That said, this leather model was easier to re-holster than my little nylon/neoprene IWB holster. Those just flatten out and you almost have to take the holster out to re-holster it... but the comfort is hard to beat.
The problem with imported holsters, they don’t have guns, so they know nothing about fit and function. that said, thanks for the review. These look like holsters I’ve seen on ebay.
Spot on... it is hard to properly design something for a product you cannot use or even possess. That said, according to the company, "KTactical is a small team located in the unlikely state of California. Our products are designed, battle tested, and perfected in California."... but they manufacture everything overseas.
