I definitely agree that the side eyes have to go. I would personally like to see more TV figures. I need a John Wesley Shipp Jay Garrick Flash and a Brandon Routh Kingdom Come Superman
Agree, altough I'm gonna pick up the green/purple Lex Luthor and the upcomming Aquaman, just so they can stare at each other on my shelf.
I love the McFarlane DC figures but after two years of collecting them and grabbing most of them I've also decided that this next year I'm going to limit myself to ones that really speak to me. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I can't get enough of the metal figures and hope that we get all the twisted versions of Supergirl, Hawkman, Mindhunter, and any others that showed up in either of the Metal stories.
McFarlane has been on fireeee with DC figures this year! So many great ones(and some misses) but can't wait to get my ROTDK figures in. Titan joker look pretty great too!

I love this line. I started to collected again because of this line.
Warner Brothers really does need to let the figures have guns. It really negatively impacts the presence of a figure if they are a character known for using guns and a figure gets released without guns.
I agree! I think the weirdest part is that they still have guns in movies, TV shows, video games, and comics. Why limit it to just toys, especially ones marketed for collectors who are usually adults? None of the other toy manufacturers are doing this and it’s dumb to let it persist.

Awesome video. My wife and I have been collecting mcfarlanes multiverse. We love it! I'm waiting on my lobo and I'm trying to hunt down a swamp thing. But I'm out in Canada so some of the figures are hard to track down. Again great video @toyshiz
Worst figure is the Bane BAF and I think the year 2 Batman is my fav. We need to fix the articulation in the ankle joints definitely. I hope we get a comic styled BAF Darkseid or something. Or Doomsday lol. And a regular Bane and Wonder Woman.

I really enjoy the line it's what got me back into DC action figures again. I really would love to see gun again with the character's that need them most. Happy new year looking forward to new video's.

I mainly collect six-inch figures. Although most DC Mcfarlane don't scale well with what I collect, I still enjoy watching reviews from channels like yours.

Happy new year. Batman fan as a kid. Graduated to Spawn figures and Mcfarlane Dragons. Back to Batman collecting and with Mcfarlane and all it's been special. I love your idea of not getting every single one and only getting what I really like or need. Great tip thank you.
I agree. The need to get everything is really fading in action figure collecting. It’s very liberating.

They should've fixed the issue with Bane, ESPECIALLY since they re-released him already built from the LKOE box set. Really like the figure, but I was very disappointed that his leg separated as soon as I removed him from the box set.
I got into this line this year once they showed off the rest of the Dark Knights Metal team. I was originally hesitant because I had already collected so much of the DC Universe Classics/Multiverse line from Mattel. As this line grew and improved though, I knew I needed to jump in. I only collect the comic characters and don't bother with movie, video game, or cartoon versions (not including Batman Beyond, but that's both comic and cartoon). That being said, this line has exposed me to several great story lines and has increased my DC comics reading this year. I loved Three Joker, Last Knight on Earth, and White Knight. I also had fun with Metal/Death Metal, although there were some weak spots. Overall I think it's a solid line, but I do worry about the future of the line. While great figures have been announced, the exact issues you mentioned need to be fixed in order for me to justify continuing with McFarlane Toys in general. Target, Walmart, and Amazon have all cancelled orders for McFarlane Toys products (DC Multiverse, Spawn, Witcher) over the past month or so. I partially blame McFarlane, but those companies and the continued shipping crisis are also to blame. I hate that there aren't any guns, but that is a WB problem. The ankles and side eyes are definitely a McFarlane problem and they need to own up to it. Others have mentioned this, but I wish someone could get an answer from Todd and have the problem addressed. There's a way to do so without putting him on the defense, but I don't know how that's done and who can do it. Maybe we'll get answers next month during Toy Fair.
Same here tbh. Weirdly enough, this line got me back into reading DC comics. I’d known that storylines like Metal and Endless Winter had been going on, but I was kinda meh about getting into them since I’d fallen off of reading comics a couple years ago, but the figures looked really unique and interesting which in turn got me curious about the stories and I ended up checking them out and really enjoying them. I got a Comixology subscription again and now I’m back up to date with DC.
The side eyes are now a staple going forward with any character that doesn’t have solid color eyes, as Todd considers it “his signature look”.
Accessories weapons packs is something that Mcfarlane toys should do for sure! Maybe even consider a accessory dioramas with pegs that will fit the figures, you can make a urban design, a jungle design, a desert design, a arctic design a battlefield design and a hellish looking design for spawn figures with translucent flames. Great video. I just started to collect.. period. Had to get the build a Bane. Here's the thing...not one person has mentioned about assembly of it... I live in the North, Canada 🇨🇦 and I just received the Scarecrow with the body of Bane. When I got it out of the mailbox it was freezing cold...brought it home, arms clicked in easy, and legs went on no problem at all. Warmed up after some time inside... Done. Will not come apart at all. Use cold maybe on the body, worked great. :).
The clown Joker is the best to me, because I grew up on Neal Adams. Well I didn’t literally grow up ON him, that would be weird. But I grew up reading Batman comics in the early ‘70’s.

Love the mcfarlane dc multiverse series. Some figures are pretty over exaggerated buy most are crazy detailed and good looking figures. Love the green lantern figures, swamp thing and the build a figure grundy. BRAVO!!!!
I don’t collect these figures anymore but this was still a very fun and informative video. I do really like that Killing Joke Joker figure and I absolutely would’ve picked up Batman Beyond and both Shrieks if I was still collecting this line.
I know they already have so many Batmans, but I would like mcfarlane to do a 1989 Batman and joker, plus a classic 70s Linda carter Wonder Woman.
Perhaps with the new WB discovery merger the gun ban can end?

My biggest issues are articulation, scale, and accessories.
We need ab crunches. We need more and better accessories. And we desperately need to stop getting figure variants just for a new head. PUT IN THE EXTRA HEAD IN THE FIRST RELEASE.

great video, i agree with you on a lot of things, and there really are some pictures that were unnecessary, and the pictures looking to the side is very ridiculous, they need to stop that urgently.
I have avoided a lot of the Mcfarlane DC figs because of costume choices, no accessories, no extra hands, and that terrible Side eye on more recent figures. They have done some cool sculpts but like Lobo and Gorilla Grodd but Scale is also and issue that makes me stay away from this line. Please McFarlane do better.
I hate how McFarlane releases 3 different versions of the same figure each with a different accessory or different head sculpt when he could’ve included all of it in one like most marvel legends
I agree to a degree. McFarlane figs are prob the most solid. I have never once had a Mcf break. Neca figs break alot. Sometimes seconds after you open they break
I heated up the Hands On bane before putting them on and I've never had problems.

Yes mcfarlane has to change the ankle joints not jus on the dc figs. Their dc movie headsculpts need improvement too!! I love alot of the figures but I jus pic and choose. Great video shiz
No side eyes and U took the guns and holster from flashpoint batman Unmasked and putting on the 3 jokers redhood and it looks so bad ass. We need a catwoman and manbat

I’m just starting to get into this line now. While I understand the repaint of injustice 2 flash is not necessary, I find that the actual figure looks really good. Might pair it with injustice reverse flash. Idk if I should get Godspeed or dr fate as a 3rd though
Problem is the build a fig. When they know the line is weak the fig is awesome. I dont want half the endless winter wave but that frost king is tits. I DEFINITELY want him. Also the gun ban is dumb. If they have it in the films and cartoons and shows the fig should too period.

I'm with you, unless the character is super cheap at an amazon sale, I'm passing on most maskless re-releases. Or the Batman metal that was the same figure except one had a guitar and the other had a scythe. That one made me bite my lip since I already had the version with the scythe but wanted the build a figure from the Metal line. Thankfully, I found that one for $15. I gave up on most Marvel legends after the Shang-Chi line (wanted the build a figure but not happy with that wave). I bought one of the Eternals figures because it looked like a friend of mine, but the rest of that line looked so generic that I couldn't justify the price point for figures I didn't necessarily want.

McFarlane is driving me crazy with the preorder stuff. We keep hearing or seeing stuff about new figures and lines coming out. But yet, I have so many preorders pending I can’t remember what’s, what. So frustrating. Not to mention the exclusive situation. Walmart just cancelled my Batman who laughs/infected robin 4 pack. It’s unreal

More iconic versions of these characters, more diversity of characters (seems like its getting better) more female figures, better body proportions, better scale, when this line started i HATED It! But it slowly got better and better and now I really enjoy these figures but there are still some things that really need to be worked on. But I am hopeful that todd might finally be listening to us. Im very exited for the upcoming aquaman, zod, reverse flash, Martian manhunter, clayface and more so hopefully he keeps giving us more like these. The iconic versions of the characters we love and not all this elsworlds stuff. Some were cool but I'd be happy to never have another random action figure from some stand alone book 5 people read.

Actually I like the rebirth superman fig, I customised it by painting the boots and the belt with the yellow sheild in the middle, to me it looks better also the action comics 1000, only the short Cape and the fist pegs are a drawback but, I'm very pleased with it is good but the Cape hinders back articulation and the s on the chest is too big anyways perspectives varies, so no offense
I actually really liked the injustice 2 flash I think it’s a great figure because I’ve been a fan of the games but I do agree the white variant was a no for me. Same with the rebirth Superman. The first one they did was a fantastic figure

Needs to improve: NO MORE DAMN pre pose figures and EXTRA HANDS. NO SIDE eyes a little better head . Add energy effects with characters Plus guns just call them blasters or something nerf it up. ALL LESS figures with diampers PLEASE .
I've made a lot of customs from the DC McFarlane figures, mostly Superman characters and more classic versions. I still have my Mattel DC Universe Classics/Multiverse figures and even though they're old, I think they're superior to the McFarlane figures, I like the scale better and that they're the classic characters for the most part. I also have trouble getting a lot of them to stand on their own, hardly ever had that problem with the DCUC figures. And the side eye thing is really terrible, I think it only looked halfway good on Lex. I'd really like to see McFarlane bring back the DC Icons figures or a slightly smaller scale of DC Essentials style, the current DC figures are just too big, too bulky, don't stand right, and aren't the characters or versions of characters we want. I did like the JL movie Darkseid with the full armor and I thought the armored Superman and Batman from early in the line were pretty cool and well painted. I'm still waiting on trying to get a hold of the Swamp Thing, first one FedEx lost the package, second one was gray, which definitely isn't what I wanted. Now gamestop is sold out of them and my target preorder is in limbo.
Same here. I really don't get why McFarlane toys won't release gun accessories, yet, they'll allow blood, gore, and removed body parts... Yeah, that makes sense. :P I think having more TV figures would be awesome! :D

Can't stand the Side Eye Look personally. It ruins the figure for me.
STILL waiting for Superboy Prime, Lobo, and Swamp Thing to hit stores. Where the F are they? Sitting on a container ship in California? I've seen far too much paint variation on these figures to want to risk ordering a potentially heavily flawed figure from Amazon or something.
Tips for McFarlane:
1. get rid of "side eyes"
2. establish consistent paint
3. get rid of "no guns" rule FAST
4. figure out how to make damn good mega figs even FASTER! Make them have double jointed elbows and knees.
5. stop doing pointless Gold Label, Platinum Editions that have more boring paint jobs
6. start releasing deluxe figures with more accessories and interchangeable parts. Kinda like Marvel Legends Punisher with his motorcycle. Would pay more for that.
7. GET. OFF. BATMAN'S. DICK. There are other DC characters. DC Classics was wonderful at making figures for even D list characters that fans want. Start making figs for more characters. Where's my McFarlane's Black Manta? Sinestro? Hell, every major Lantern character? Killer Croc? Tim Drake Robin? Pengin? Scarecrow? Parasite? Comic book Darkseid? New 52 Steppenwolf? Classic New Gods characters? Steel? Titans and Teen Titans characters?
I don't watch video about toys to get unecessarily spoilers from comics. You could easily have left the part out.
Then read comics

I really feel like lately hes been cutting corners to save money and you can tell heavily in the product.. Its never consistent every so often you will get a perfect figure but its rare
They should stop focusing on single comic waves. They should make the original designs before the comic specific designs
Said this for a long time McFarlane best work is spawn in terms of dc Superman ones he has done are not bad his Batman’s it depends either hit or miss. The Batman movie figures do not look enticing at all.
I want the main Batman with his bike, but when it comes to the other movie figures, I really gotta see the flick first
