I was listening to a radio interview with Zac the other day and the station asked him "Why are FIDLAR's songs always so funny" and he simply replied "The band is collectively like that one kid in school that is super happy on the outside and makes everyone one laugh, but on the inside is super depressed". After that I though back to when I went to see them live and briefly met Zac (Super nice dude, btw), I remember the smile he had when I told him that I loved FIDLAR's sound and how excited I was for the new album. I feel like the small things like that really mean a lot to these guys.
I just saw them in DC with Dilly Dally and NOBRO. They were really interactive with the crowd and really made their performance a lot of fun. The pit was awesome and the fans are super chill and made sure to pick people up and return things they'd drop. Sick night overall, freaking amazing.

I feel like, and I can be wrong when the new LP comes out, they have finally found their style and balance between punk and pop, what makes them so special and easy to go through. That's why I consider them my favourite "acoustic" band.
Ahh... I seriously wish that was true, because, although I love their first Album, it felt like they were exploring things. From the softened remake of Wake/Bake/Skate to the diferences between, for example, Cheap Bear and 5 to 9, the first being a rougher standard Punk Rock, and the second an awesome Punk Pop tune. I really loved both, the variety that they showcased in the whole LP, but in this single, I can see those two extremes comig together, like a second MAx Can't Surf. Love to hear diferent opinions, thou' :)
***** Sorry, about the uniqueness of the song, i feel that it's very charismatic, with the contrast of the pianola on the chorus of the song and the diferent versions of the Hook. About this I'm not so sure, though.
***** Not really. Check out The Black Lips, they sound a lot alike, except FIDLAR puts much more energy into it. I didn't like this song at first, but I like it more and more, the more I listen to it. I doubt they'll give up their punk roots completely though.
Giving these guys "style" a label is an insult. They make whatever kind of music they feel like. And they don't give one shit about what anybody thinks about it.

Literally drinking my life away right now listening to songs I used to listen to when I worked a night job and a full time day job just to get by... things are a little better these days but sometimes I still wish I was speeding around delivering car parts all over town and power washing concrete at night. For some people you can take the initiative and change your life for what you think is the better but the negative feelings and mental problems persist beyond your problem solving capabilities. For anybody reading this comment don't feel discouraged from achieving your dreams just understand that shit doesn't always work out and you might have to go back to square one a few times
The more I listen to FIDLAR the more I dig them. Easily quickly becoming 1of my favourite bands. The chorus for some reason the way it's sung, makes me think of Jamie T for some reason. ;)
Everyone who's saying this doesn't sound like FIDLAR obviously hasn't listened to anything they put out that's not on their self titled. This is the bomb, ON REPEAT.
I don't know why it's so difficult for me To talk to somebody I don't know Well I've tried to ask you out about a thousand times In my head, you just always say no And I don't care at all, I'll drink some alcohol It'll make me who I really wanna be But I'm that kind of special person that drinks too much Cause nobody understands me Because everybody's got somebody, everybody but me Why can't anybody just tell me that I'm somebody's? I'm gonna lock myself inside my room, with this 40 ounce on repeat I thought that if I cleaned up my act It'll help me understand exactly who I am But I hate to say that it just don't work like that Cause I'm a special individual I don't need no plan But I got bills to pay, and I got pills to take Cause I'm born and raised in the USA And I'll just scream and shout, that I'll never sell out I'll never sell out, man! Jay Fisher but are you locked in your room?
@@juliawidrick9522 Hell yeah I'am
I remember listening to this driving around my hometown thinking it's about time I move out. And I now live across the country. Fidlar still rules

This is easily one of the coolest music videos I have ever seen
Fuck yes.
+ARTV Reviews Cheap beer.
One of the best songs ever.
if iconic music videos were on a budget..
Anonymous asdfg good one
Of fucking $15
Anonymous asdfg ur on drugs
we watched the same video
I think that’s what makes this video so iconic
This is one of the most brilliant music videos of our times, a true eye candy for the big music fan
zac actually looks like a fairly convincing girl......
Aran Malhi I've been with worse
Aran Malhi i dont wanna talk about it...
Aran Malhi He's got that movement down xD
Aran Malhi And Max looks hot.
This makes me uncomfortable.
The amount of low budget effort put into this in phenomenal.
I'm gonna lock myself inside my room with this Fidlar song on repeat.
Zac acting like Britney Spears was still way hotter than the real thing
true
And that's not an easy thing to do
I Agree, But It Sounds Gay
I Take That Back, Britney Spears Is Way Hotter
I was thinking the same
A modern rock classic without a doubt, love it.
Indeed
The more I listen to FIDLAR the more I dig them. Easily quickly becoming 1of my favourite bands. The chorus for some reason the way it's sung, makes me think of Jamie T for some reason. ;)
Brandon seems really excited and into making the scenes, and Max and Elvis are just really chill about everything lol
Everyone who's saying this doesn't sound like FIDLAR obviously hasn't listened to anything they put out that's not on their self titled. This is the bomb, ON REPEAT.
Banging tune, FIDLAR have upped their game. Can't wait for the new album
This band just speaks to me in a way that no other does, in terms of the lyrics
I don't know why it's so difficult for me
To talk to somebody I don't know
Well I've tried to ask you out about a thousand times
In my head, you just always say no
And I don't care at all, I'll drink some alcohol
It'll make me who I really wanna be
But I'm that kind of special person that drinks too much
Cause nobody understands me
Because everybody's got somebody, everybody but me
Why can't anybody just tell me that I'm somebody's?
I'm gonna lock myself inside my room, with this 40 ounce on repeat
I thought that if I cleaned up my act
It'll help me understand exactly who I am
But I hate to say that it just don't work like that
Cause I'm a special individual I don't need no plan
But I got bills to pay, and I got pills to take
Cause I'm born and raised in the USA
And I'll just scream and shout, that I'll never sell out
I'll never sell out, man!
Wait, how much?
Because everybody's got more money, they got more money than me
Why can't anybody just give me some more money?
Because everybody's got somebody, everybody but me
Why can't anybody just tell me that I'm somebody's?
I'm gonna lock myself inside my room, with the television on repeat
Because everybody's got somebody, everybody but me
Why can't anybody just tell me that I'm somebody's?
Because everybody's got somebody, everybody but me
Why can't anybody just tell me that I'm somebody's?
I'm gonna lock myself inside my room, with this 40 ounce on repeat
The melody, song structure and choice of guitar makes sense when you really think about it
I Wanna get drunk and start a fire
Ulises Rodriguez I'll bring the gasoline, you got the brew
Luke E the gasoline is the brew
+Ulises Rodriguez listen to FIDLAR's Cheap Beer.
You'll start more than a fire.
