      "Ed Kranepool" is #1, but "Clown Show" is a close second.

      Ed Kranepool #1 best rant but in terms of topic this is my favorite rant cause of what it’s about. Those stupid paper analytics don’t tell you about how bad a line blocks you have to watch it with your eyes.

    It’s ironic now looking back because the bengals made the super bowl by relying on sabermettics. Sports isn’t about the eye test anymore, which is why every sport has become so in depth with analytics because teams have shown to win with them.

    • @JayArh41
      @JayArh41 Рік тому +1

      But it doesnt always work. Teams like the Rays, Sixers, Yankees and Rockets back then were so geeky invested with analytics and won nothing. You still need the eye test.

      @@JayArh41 Pistons traded a great player named Adrian Dantley just because of fit and attitude, the eye test was used. They won two championships after that. Got some great glue guys back that helped them win. You need both but more importantly the the guys using their eyes need to be good as well.

    I agree with Don here. I know he's ranting about football, but I feel this way about baseball. I was having this argument on Twitter about Joey Gallo and he went on about the fact that the probability of something happening after a strikeout. I told him that when you put the ball in play, you put pressure on the defense.

    I agree Eli was getting lousy protection, but he also was on the decline and no longer able to compensate like he could've before. That 2017 Giants team did nothing right, I swear. I feel like there were two season-ending injuries a game! Ironically one of the teams they were most competitive against was the Super Bowl champion Eagles! Remember that Elliot FG?

    As much as Ereck Flowers flopped with the Giants, when I watch those highlights, I see an immobile QB holding on to the ball more so than I see a totally shitty offensive line.
    Math >>> Don La Greca's eyeballs. And the Giants learned the hard way by holding onto Eli for two more shitty years because they and their overly sentimental fans believed that it was the O-line rather than Eli that was the problem.

    • @robwest2813
      @robwest2813 Рік тому

      A pocket QB needing an O-line to play his game is not rocket science and the fact is Eli had one of the worst for years. You’re just an Eli hater if you didn’t see it.
