In BO3 i had a 2.2kd. Playing the exact same way in this game MW3 Im a 0.9 at best. I don’t get it. I guess some games you just play better than others?
At last a video that explains it truthfully! I've played Call of Duty since the first one (That was as a Squad player on PC back in 2003, and every version of COD down ther line). Since then I switched to Xbox a few years later as I couldn't keep up with the cost of renewing graphics cards every year. I have watched countless "Controller settings" videos every since that , like you say, point you to Linear or Dynamic. I recently retired (58 y/o) and have been frustrated with my gameplay. I have had three heart attacks over a period of the last four years and am on more drugs than Ozzy to counteract the effects 🤣(my reaction time has gone down the pan) ... apologies for the life story lol but I just wanted to let you know thow your honesty is propbably going to help me going forward, thank you so much it is greatly appreciated and you got my Sub 👌! Greetings from the UK by the way, Steve 👍
so i play about 20 hours a week ... lol im on linear and love it. ive tried them all and dont notice a huge difference... but i notice with linear its always where you point... no slow down no speed up... exactly where you want lol but to each their own as you said ! great video!
In general I think there is something weird going on with controller settings in mw3 atleast at ps5. I’m a crim ranked player who plays the game consistently. I feel like in periods where you play allot your aim/sens slightly become more ‘loose’. I did test it with a second account on ps5 and I have to say my aim feels more sticky on this account(while having exactly the same settings). Do you guys think this is placebo or due to the SBMM/EOMM?
I deffo feel this bro I also feel if u are doing really well in a game all of a sudden u will get no aim assist and the target take so much more damage then they did before it’s like u get a nerf mid game if u doing to well I don’t now but I feel this also somthing liek this any way man
@TheKingNappa1 donu mean u Play 5/5 with ADS Speed 0.50 i Play linear since a weak but i have Problems with recoil control in mid to Long range .but with 0.5 do U have 2 soom Out 2 Go to another target?
I like linear as well I run 4/4 at .85 ads sense and my gunfights are more accurate with ranged gunfights and I’m more of an smg guy but kept losing ranged gunfights until I switched to linear it’s all personal preference at the end of the day whatever is comfortable to the player
The 5th Seal has very good linear settings in my opinion gives you more control over your aim than the normal 6-6 dynamic. 5th Seal’s sens: 3-3 linear 1.00 ads multiplier Black ops aim assist Gradual aim assist transition type
Appreciate it. I changed to dynamic recently after seeing loads of videos saying it's the best one. I have noticed my aim is off and I have been performing worse. It probably didn't help as I was trying different weapons and attachments, so thought it was that at first. I am a casual player and after watching this, I'm going back to standard.
IVE BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME FOR MONTHS AND HAVE WATCHED HUNDREDS OF SETTINGS VIDS AND NO ONE HAS EXPLAINED THIS AS CLEAR AS YOU HAVE. THANK YOU SIR I FINALLY HAVE A PLATFORM TO BUILD ON
Hey, I have a question. Let me first start off by saying I do agree with what you said about the aim response curve differs from person to person. This is something that's had been really bothering me cause I don't know which one to choose from standard or dynamic. I was on standard but then switched to dynamic because of what the pros say. I'm not a new player, but I'm not a pro either. So my question is, does standard really work the way you say it works? Because in the standard description, it says a slow starting movement that speeds up over the aiming rate. The key word is over. So if it speeds up over the aiming rate, that means that it speeds up over what your sensitivity is. That was my issue with standard, and that's what made me switch to dynamic. I always played on a low sensitivity because I like those making micro adjustments. So my idea was to play on a lower sensitivity like a 3 or 4 so I can still have that slow starting movement, then let it slow down to the aiming rate. In your video, you said that standard starts off with slow starting movement and then slows down to the aiming rate, and if that's the case, I world gladly switch back to standard. So can you make a video on this or just reply to my comment. Thanks, I love the videos.
I only play a linear I hate the slow down of the stick when it's the same all around you can adjust to anything at anytime and not have to think o it's going to move slow or fast in the first few seconds, sometimes this will mess you up if you are getting double teamed then you have to shoot long range.
I was so confused and unsure of what the Aim Curve Settings were until this video…. You explained it in such an awesome & easy to-understand style!!! Thank you Sir 🫡🤘🏽
I’ve tried all of them when fixing those micro adjustments I like linear the best I don’t know if it’s just me but it feels way less clunky and choppy then dynamic or standard
i took a long break from cod and just recently started playing again. i tried jumping back in on dynamic and it just didn't feel right, so i went back to standard for a week or two to get the feel again, and now back to dynamic and playing great.
i have to disagree with you..... i have tested, standard and dynamic, and i feel that i have to pay more attention to the micro adjustments otherwise i stop short of hitting my targets. Rotational aim assist does help me for over aiming but i notice i do underaim alot on dynamic. with linear, I feel the snap on the enemies especially with muliples targets, i do release and reengage the ADS alot so that might be the reason why linear works for me
So if u aim like this is liner better if there is 3 people I will centre to them then ads then un ads centre on to other then re enter ads and so on is liner best for this type of sim
yo bro thank u so much as a upcoming streamer I no the hard grind but bro just have to say this videos was exsacly what I was looking for top marks man as a lad with multiple disabilitys this was very easy for me to finally understand what it all ment thank you ❤
Try these settings and lmk y’all: dynamic sensitivity at .50. controller sensitivity put custom 1.00 first then switch to 5 horizontal again 1.00 custom first on vertical then 7 then now for the deadzones will be 3 then 95 then 3 and 95 and then for the last two 1 then 1 . Lmk
I don’t play nearly as often since having a child but I’ve played about once a week consistently and never looked into what the settings actually did. Thank you for the info. I’ll keep dynamic but turn my sens down and see if I can be snappy and then have the slow follow through. 🤜🤛
Thanks bro I’ve got a lot of experience on controller but I use higher sensitivity than most people so now I know I should use standard instead of dynamic. Cause with higher sensitivity standard will help slow it down from a range.
I might probably be wierd, but i never played FPS games, and i started to play it for the first time (with friends who are better than me) halfway throug seasons 2. At first i was very bad, and i literally tried all settings, high sens, low sens, standard, dynamic, linear. With linear i always did the best somehow, so i never changed it, i would not say that i am good now, but i have improved a lot and i still only know how to play this game with linear. Might be going to give dynamic a change again to see how much of a difference there is.
Thank you for this !! Why did it take so long to find someone who can break this down barney style! Thank you and good luck to you Papa Bear ! Us Dads gotta support eachother

@@JAYODZI'd recommend watching saxu's guide on how to master max sensitivity. It helped me out a lot, before I was using 12 12 with. 80 zoom now I use 17 17 with 1.40 zoom. Although I just got a new controller and the sticks are more sensitive than I was used to with my old controller, now I have issues making small adjustments and I'm better at snapping but before i didn't have issues making small adjustments, I've tried changing the dead zones
Yes it does! Although it’s not just strafing, it’s any movement of your left stick/character. So sometimes i may be against a wall but im holding my character in that direction or maybe very slightly strafing. It’s not always a full-on strafe (although strafing is definitely a great thing to do in every fight)
Using a DSE controller recently switched too STANDARD AND regular on the controller (steady -4) is also fine but the micro adjustments are tough. Tracking is an issue, but on regular with standard and curve slope at 80 is good enough on 7/7 0.8 ADS. For standard if that’s to slow just drop the curve to 0 and micro adjust it by 5 till it feels snappy without over shooting. Between 30-70 is quite snappy I found. 80-90 is a slower moving sweet spot.

I personally love dynamic, it's similar to Linear in Fortnite which is weird I know. But, it's snappy, great for close SMG combat. I agree that linear is a bad response curve , however I've been messing around with these settings ever since mw19 and to be honest linear can be great only if your aim assist type is different, precision aim assist is honestly the best combination simply because precision aim assist doesn't use the new rotational aim assist , it's uses your right stick movement meaning that although it is a fast consistent aim curve , it will slow down when you aim at an enemy , However you will have to get use to it ( this is for those who are linear players or just interested in testing it out )

I've played dynamic for months and it sucks... for me...
Standard is what's good for me...
Dynamic is only good for SMGs for quick snaps on 180s and such.

The aim assist black ops is good up close and default for range.
Precision and focus is alright (way more sticky) but its AOE is way less than that of default and black ops

Imho Default and standard combo is good for AR or ADS shooting
Black ops and dynamic for SMG or snappy hip fire type movement..

I agree that linear is a bad response curve , however I've been messing around with these settings ever since mw19 and to be honest linear can be great only if your aim assist type is different, precision aim assist is honestly the best combination simply because precision aim assist doesn't use the new rotational aim assist , it's uses your right stick movement meaning that although it is a fast consistent aim curve , it will slow down when you aim at an enemy , However you will have to get use to it
