It's just time and patience really, I'm sure you can do it, I bet you good with engines though👍 The right hand side was actually my very 1st YT video and unbelievably the most popular by far, it must have really struck a chord, I guess people would rather fix than buy. The mirror pan-tilt mechanisms, are also a real problem , especially when you have to jump-outside to set the passenger mirror. I personally find curb-view very useful, so I'm currently working on a video on how to repair these problematic mechanisms. Some owners also have trouble with the mirror-arms "fluttering" or wobbling so badly they can't see clearly, there is a fix for this on hummerforums.com At some point I'm going to address the "sun-roof not closing" issue another common problem.

My brand new left one not turning in, do you think that could be because faulty door module? The lock function does not work. I use the auto unlock in the dic to unlock and lock doors,
The DDM does control all aspects of the mirror i.e. its drives the motors up/down, L/R etc. If nothing works on the front left door, yes the DDM could be the problem, however if auto lock/unlock and some keypad buttons still work, it may possibly need cleaning. ua-cam.com/video/JZl74FiK714/v-deo.html
I just took mine out. The worm gear was broken in half. Two other gears broken off. Everything completely rusted. Something i did do is spray pb blaster into the neck and wd 40That mads the mirror turn better. The big gear had many missing teeth im goijg to buy a new set.
Here's a question, is it possible to change the oem radio region to the UK and thereby change the frequencies on the radio from odd to even? Eg 89.9 to 89.8? Would improve radio reception..
Are like you getting bad (FM) reception with you OEM? Not sure why the standard res is odd, quite a number of US are even. Seems to be now way to change this in the Owners Manual. The radio itself (internally) may not be that accurate, manual tuned systems even less. Best thing I ever did was fit a Pioneer system, it transformed the Hummer, DAB, Android Auto Navigation, Google Voice for dialing and internet information, TomTom Amigo for cameras, back-up camera etc etc. certainly couldn't live without it now....
