It isn't over romanticising. It's creating your own beautiful spaces, and you do it wonderfully. Blessings.
I agree with you that in the midst of an insane world, it's good to focus on the lovely, good things in God's creation. You inspire me to do so more and more, and to get my mind off of all the bad news! Thank you, Lea!
It's not easy, but there is still beauty to behold ❤
Nothing wrong with singing a little tune as the ship goes down..... LOVE that!!!!! Thank you for all you do.... brings a little calm and beauty to this crazy world!!!!
I like to think creating beauty around our homes, in the way we dress, live our lives, speak our truth….is being a visual Artist…a gift God has given us..to live more abundantly ❤️
So beautifully said! I feel the most grounded when I’m working in my garden, and praising the Lord for the beauty of His provision. We must focus on the positive.
With you on looking on the bright side and being grateful!
Ditto!
A friend of mine has a Aloe Vera plants all throughout her house to help clear the air from chemicals etc and to combat WiFi signals amongst other things, as they sleep. She said the whole family sleeps a lot better. I am slowly incorporating this to my home as well as turning the internet off at night and have noticed a wonderful difference especially to a better night's sleep! Our heavenly Father has thought of everything for us. Thank you for another beautiful video. ❤❤❤
The Bible is full of agricultural metaphors and for good reason, quiet gardening enables us to learn the heart of god
When we bought our home 20 years ago I decided I wanted a friendship garden. I asked each of my close friends, family members and neighbors for one of their favorite plants in their garden. I marked each plant with their name and 20 years later it is now a beautiful cottage garden with a beautiful variety and I think of each that contributed to it as I work in my gardens to escape the chaos in our world. In the fall when I cut back my gardens, I offer plants to any that would like to add them to their gardens. I care for my elderly mom with Alzheimer’s seven days a week and gardening is my go to for prayer, peace and calmness to give me strength to continue to care for my mom. Thank you for your inspiration ❤. Summer, heat and humidity are my least favorite but “to everything there is a season” and I’m so looking forward to a beautiful cool fall🍁🍁
My grandmother always said, “Negative people will always find something to be negative about-don’t be one of them.”
You are a positive person, and it is refreshing.
Thank you 😊
Please don't listen to the negative people they are so wrapped up in the ugly it's sad. Your shade garden plants have given me an idea for one area in my yard that I think will make my little homestead even more inviting. Thank you for sharing and God bless.
I'm so glad :) and thank you
Dear Friend, you keep doing exactly what you are doing. You got this :) Gardening and having a cottage garden is a form of meditation if you will for many of us. A way to protect our spirits from the outside negativity. A peaceful place for our souls. Peace Thank you again, for sitting with us while some of us sip tea also and watch your post. Excellence!
I hope tea time was lovely ❤
Amen!
I love your cottage garden. I'm singing the tune too😊
Amen sister I’m going to sing a little tune and plant me a cottage garden as well!! ❤️ I love your videos and your pure, simple lifestyle!!
Lea, I enjoy your channel so much! I am always inspired when I visit. I love that you "romanticize" the ordinary, every day, stuff! I am learning to do this, as well, although it isn't easy for me. Thank you so much for being a bright, shining light in a dreary, stormy world. And please, keep romanticizing!
Grace & Peace,
Pam
Thank you Lea, You have given us all a place of connection with your channel. It seems a reward and affirmation for many of us. Beauty and eternity become family friends.
I've always been lyrical and aesthetic with my domestic duties and I feel the genuine pleasure of the Lord upon me. We are fit company for The King after all - Praise to Yeshua . My humanity sings in this innocent place and my womanhood is understood and affirmed there also. However, my spirit knows the Time and Season we are in and I have serious duties there. I engage in these duties from my place of sanctuary. How good it is to read all these comments and know how many friends we have .
Love from New Zealand
As always, a wonderful calming escape with you from all the chaos of the world,I like many others here truly appreciate all that you accomplish with your channel, thanks for all the ideas for the shade garden ~ you introduced me to some great plants I was not aware of but would like to try and grow, keep on doing what you brings you joy as it has brought a great deal to many others 💞
So glad to hear ❤ happy planting 😊
I adore you so much, Sister! Your sweet videos lovingly calm the soul and inspire the simplicity of what Yahuah has called us to. To Live a simple life, and walk in faith and obiedence to Yahusha and his Instruction of Torah. Thank you.
I love you too my sister
Lea, I'm really looking forward to the "You're not perfect" podcast. I have enjoyed every one of your podcasts immensely. I hope you continue to film more.
It’s inspiring for me to watch how you take the home and land you were blessed with and make something so beautiful and also functional of it. You give God glory with your efforts. 😊
Thank you so much 💓
I think a if we can make a home a peaceful ,pretty place and we love the Lord our God with all our hearts ,, it can bless those who enter,,, after all the Lord God put us in a garden in the beginning to tend,, it was His idea in the beginning ❤️
Where the Holy Spirit dwells there is life .
Everything blooms .
There is peace and everthing smells fresh.
We need channels like this.❤
Exactly. Finding joy wherever we can find it, is key. And nature is the best. It just naturally praises God so beautifully. ❤
I love your idea of 'over creating' the aesthetics of your home. i find it so comforting and i get ideas of incorporating some of it into my own home and my life, in general. It is such a stress and anxiety reliever. With no medication needed. 🙂 thank you and just know that you are very special and gifted to do this for us.
Love this and how you are beautifying your own little slice of heaven. I also struggle with the things of the world, contentment where I live in the inner city (what I consider Sodom) and trusting Gods plan in all of this. But I just got home from buying two raspberry plants from a nice lady who also gifted me with mint and arugula. It is life-giving to do what we can with what we have. You’ve encouraged me to keep going and bring heaven to my little patch here. Thank you
Hey from the caribbean.
I agree with you if we was to connect with nature and romantize every thing.
Make everything beautiful and see beauty in everything.
There will be less mental health and sickness.
We would live a more wholesome life.
I envy you.
This kind of lifestyle is not available to everyone.
This channel is very healing.
Even your voice and the way you put everything together.
Be blessed.
The world needs more positive influencers where there is no toxic behaviours.
I love your sense of humor. Planting has helped me to stay grounded as well. Please take care everyone! ❤
It calms my mind and spirit to be in my small garden. Gods presence is all around me in nature, His creations. Yes, simplify in a world that has lost its way. Pray for what we can not control, hope for the best and be grateful for small things.
So lovely
I live 127 year old, home hostas ,choclate mint were some,of my first plantings ive added many to my cottage core garden, takes me back to my grandmothers house,Bloom where youre Planted!
I love ALL you do and the way you do!
Lord's willing soon I'll have my little place, I'll not have the freedom to do much gardening etc but in the little I'll have you will be one of my first inspirations. Thank you for all you share, and may the Lord bless and multiply all you do. Love in Christ!
Thank you so much for watching ❤️
It is your place you can focus on whatever you want for your space. If others don’t think it is ok that is their choice to do what they want for their space. I like the ideas you have come up with. What I don’t want I will not do. Thanks for sharing
Its been a trying year in my garden. ANYHTHING that grows, blooms, or rippens is something I'm extra grateful for!
Yes! It's a miracle every time
You’re channel is so peaceful 😊thank you.
This world around us is truly maddening! The more I learn, the more aware I become of just how deceptive it all is.
This world is headed in a direction that won’t be stopped til our Lord says. We can and should pray, of course, then take a step back and focus on what is most important… our relation with Him, our families, our pets, neighbors, to make a conscious effort to slow down and enjoy whatever time we have left. For me, enjoying and beautifying what’s around me helps me to stay grounded when all the world is going crazy. It’s a way to be in but not of this world.
Amen, I totally agree
I love the peaceful atmosphere of your videos and I always learn something new. Thank you, Sister Lea, shalom. 🪴🙏😊
love the touch of the sign!
Your channel is so quite and relaxing,I love it so much.. please don't change anything. ❤
I love many of the same plants you do, ferns, ivy, corral bells…my little yard, also in NJ is heavily shaded, but the ground is very rocky and difficult to plant in. You inspire me with your use of pots and various containers ☺️🌿🪴Stay cool, sister, and thanks for sharing!
Blessings Lea! Love the sign! What a lovely and inviting addition to your mountain!! Father God made us overseers of His creation. Thank you for sharing with us what He has put on your heart! I have little to no shade and a basement apartment in a suburb but over the last 3 years I have been learning to container garden and I'm loving it! I call my garden my garden of grace because I do what I can for the plants to be successful but it's God's grace that anything grows. I have 2 containers with potatoes and whenever I plant those I think of you because of your success in finally growing them. Thank you for the inspiration in these videos! I just love them! Love you dear sister in Christ! Blessings to you and your beloved!❤
This was JUST what I was looking for! I randomly felt inspired last week to do something with our shady front yard sitting area but I was feeling overwhelmed with what plants to choose. Then I watched this video and I feel SO refreshed and excited to plan out this space. Thanks, friend!
I love chocolate mint and put the leaves in my iced, raspberry tea. My Hosta's are in bloom here in Vermont. I have a small, raised garden in my apartment complex, which is my happy place. I had massive garden's in the past, but can no longer care for something that size, so this is a happy compromise. I love your channel and find it a peaceful, gentle place with other believer's to help drown out the sometimes overwhelming negativity in the world.
Your voice and the ambient music, it's a beautiful acoustic work. Certainly the decor attracts. (Translated from French)
Thank you ❤
Only those who originates with the father of darkness can't appreciate the light and love of nature.
Hosta plants would be beautiful in your location for sure.
I plan on having a small veggie and herb garden next summer once our baby is a year old.💗 Thanks for another great inspirational video!
I absolutely love chocolate mint! I put it in my coffee and my world is good.☺️
What a great motivational video, such an inspiring. 😍
I love how you romanticize the small things. You taught me how to do that. Romanticizing my life has helped me fully embrace our wonky lifestyle, and I'm so grateful you taught me to capture and appreciate the beauty all around me. There's nothing wrong with having an appreciative and romantic heart 🤍
I'm so honored sweet friend. Love you
Love the plants....wish we had more shade areas but yes we love all plants and coul always take one more
I love to put seeds down and watch them grow. It is something hard to put into words. It's peaceful for me to watch Yah's creation just do what He designed it to do. It puts a smile on my face a comfort that only He can provide.
Amen, it's so miraculous and pure
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
Philippians 4:8 ❤
HalleluYah ❤
I love this!!! Thank you 🌹
I enjoy watching your videos so much! You sharing your faith and knowledge you have learned in gardening is so peaceful for me. I've started my own garden this year and its such a huge learning curve. I hope to get on your level one day! God bless you!
A huge learning curve indeed! Keep nourishing your soil and it will get there ❤ happy planting 😊
Thankyou Lea, you inspire me greatly to focus on the beautiful things while the world is having a hiccup. ❤
I love ferns! We have one fern that was dying when we bought it and now it is so huge in our home. I like the ivy you have. I don't know names of the majority of my plants and love that you can just say a bunch of names like that. I agree that it is good to be thankful for things and finding beauty in the little simple things. I like the Welcome to the Mountain sign you put up.
Thank you friend ❤
You have a beautiful spirit and we need that in this world. You have great support from James. My husband is such a hard nose against the world and is deeply immersed into politics and hatred. My heart breaks for him that he refuses to see the good in some people. Sometimes I wish I lived in your garden! So romantic and peaceful!
It is so easy to get caught up and there are many angering things in our world today, indeed. I hope he can find some peace in the midst of it
I'm here for the romanticsizing what you love!! Keep it coming ❤
I just came across your channel and this video strikes a chord in me... My boys had asked me when they were little why I Iove gardening/plants so much...so I let them grow some plants. The process led them to discover the joy of our food and true raw beauty. Nature is core to the soul...for balance. 🌱💛 I thank my mom for giving me that special gift too... Green beans, poppies, and marigolds are forever my favorites.
So beautiful. I love marigolds too ❤️
Would love to see a video on the herbs you use and grow for tea purposes. For all of us tea lovers!
Hostas are my favorite perennial! I learned recently that they are edible, but I haven't tried them yet. Several that you mentioned are gorgeous that I will take into consideration for a shaded side of my home that I haven't planted yet. Thank you!
Yes! I plan to do more hosta bulbs this year
I just love your channel/videos.
It is relaxing and I learn something new every time I watch.
I also love your dress in this video
I want to wear more dresses like this one and others I have seen you wear.
Dresses are so much more comfortable
And life is too short to be uncomfortable 😊
Thank you for this video
You’re doing a wonderful job!
Take care ❤
Linen dresses are the most comfortable outfits in the summer! So glad you enjoyed the video
I think your videaos are beautiful
This is my second year planting and harvesting herbs! I never realized how fulfilling it is. Now I am learning how to make things like lotions, lip balms, etc. with them. And it amazes me how using fresh herbs for cooking can majorly improve each and every dish!
Sounds like you're learning so many great things 😊 that's wonderful
Oh, this was so, so good!! A thousand "likes!"
Thank you Becky!
Beautiful home dear sister.
Me too!!❤
This was so helpful with the shade area we have, we can grow nothing there. Thank you.
You reminded me of the Titanic.... playing music while they were sinking.
Exceptional. Thank you.
❤Thanks so much for this beautiful video dear Lea!! Our world is so completely off it’s sad and pathetic. Praise God we have new life in Him & we can live without fear of tomorrow for He is already there! Shabbat Shalom sweet sister 🥰🙏🏻❤️❌⭕️🤗🕊
And a Joyful sabbath to you
Thank you
Such a beautiful soul ❤
That's very kind ❤
To those that, don’t know Him, it’s hard to understand the beauty and the hope that we have in our souls. It should naturally come out and materialize in our lives.❤
Thanks for the ideas! I took notes for my garden this year.
Hi Lea. Thank you for a lovely video. I am inspired to go and potter around in my garden. I love gardening, but have been a bit low on energy lately, but still go for my morning walks and feel the leaves and flowers as I take my fur babies with me. I love sitting outside in the sun and listen to the birds and bees in the afternoons.
❤❤❤
I love your outlook! You inspire me to not feel so guilty about enjoying the simple things considering all the unrest in the world right now. Self Heal (Prunella Vulgaris) is also wonderful in the shade.❤
Oh yes! It's beautiful. I had a lot of self heal pop up voluntarily this year.
@@LittleHouseOnTheMountain Wonderful! I am infusing some right now to make some salve.
😊😊
This is great! I just rented a place that has a nice side yard...but it is VERY wet and VERY shady! I can't wait to learn by watching!
I cannot wait till 7am! So excited.
😊🙏🙏❤
This is my dream life 😍😍
It's certainly far from perfect but I'm thankful to be amongst the trees
Lovely!!🌿🪴🍀🌱
I agree with you about nature. This world has gone completely insane! I live way out in the country and I just got back from dog sitting for my parents while they took a trip. They live in town and I had trouble sleeping. The vibe was so different! I was so glad to get back home.
I love your videos, they have really helped me look away from the ugliness of this world and focus on lovely things.
Philippians 4:8 🕊
It is amazing how the atmosphere can change around creation ❤
@@LittleHouseOnTheMountain yes! It's the creative power in us to change the atmosphere. We're made in God's image and He put mankind in charge of the creation in the garden of Eden. We're going back to everything Adam lost
I have a lot of shade and want to garden. But there are many deer here and they eat everything! How do you keep the wildlife (deer, rabbits, groundhogs) away? Thanks and happy summer!
I love chocolate mint! It's my absolute favorite!
I love the sign! And completely agree with your sentiments. We don’t realize how much satisfaction there is in the slower process of working at something with our hands and watching it flourish (or die a thousand deaths before finally flourishing, in my case 😅)
Oh my, 😂 do I know all about that!
My NC yard is also very shady. I have a lot of the same plants that you do and they do really well here too. One new thing I tried this year is lemon balm. It's going great so far--just trying to decide what to do with it!
Remember we always have the greatest news eternally! Jesus Christ glorious resurrection and all he has for us!!!
I think we take the little things for granted and we need to stop doing that because life is made up of little things. These channels promoting love of the small things are the healthiest things on the internet right now. My mental health really suffers when I don't stop and appreciate the little things. It's something I've had to regularly stop and be deliberate about in my life and i love watching people do it so artistically on the internet.
Hi Lea a fantastic vlog as usual nothing beets the nature and natural beauty fresh and organic I’d love to plant some herbs 🪴 I may Google to see what’s available to grow in the uk thank you so much for your video
So glad you enjoyed it ❤ there definitely are plenty of plants to be enjoyed in the UK climate
Merci 🙏
What do you use as a natural tick repellent? As a fellow woodsy New Yorker who sufferd from Lyme disease last year. Thank you and love your content ! It brings me immense peace 💗
Your garden is absolutely beautiful & so are your speckled chickens! What breed are they?
Speckled Sussex
I have plans for our yard, but I can't get anything to grow. Tried sunflowers this year. Just sun flowers. 😭 I still don't have sunflowers, and I planted them in May.
Sunflowers 🌻 are so tricky! They grow so lush in wild fields, yet for years I couldn't get one to grow! Ironically, one self seeded and finally grew and now I have some coming up. It happens when you least expect it ❤
I live in an apartment so i want to have an inside garden. I don't get direct sun. Do you think these plants would do good inside? I also dont have a balcony
How do you use your bee balm?
What state do you live in
It is not a romanticizing of the lifestyle. It is simply displaying the life you have chosen to live, and you tell people why. Is it romanticizing to live better, and share your story? I think not.
Over romanticizing🙄. Please just keep doing what you are doing. I enjoy your videos.
