- Today's question from Marty B. is, “Now that I own three Speedlites, I’ve been trying to make more complex portraits. But it gets really confusing when I have all the lights firing, and it’s hard to tell which ones to adjust. How do you manage multiple lights all at once?”

THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! - Навчання та стиль
Awesome David! (and Julie) :)
Perfect...perfect!!!!
Great explanation on working with layers of light
Oh wow, that was an awesome step by step thanks a lot David Bergman!
fantastic video! Well explained. And Julie seems cool as hell! haha great job, all around!
Thanks for the tips. Those photos were gorgeous.
Excellent tutorial and advice. Thanks David and team.
July is very inspiring.... character best wishes 👍
Great tutorial as usual David. Julie was amazing :)
Over my pay grade, David, but I loved your work and your step-by-step instructions.
love this set up. and what a fun person to work with thanks for the info I have done a bit of this and yes I have made the mistakes of all at once and not one at a time great info and thank you for the reminder of setting up Speedlight's
Good build up and explanation of the lighting for the shot.
Great vid accentuated by a gorgeous model/acrobat/athlete. Outstanding information on "How To"!
Thanks, David! And what a great subject matter: Julie! And last but not least: Voice-activated Smoke Controller: Kirk!
Greatly educational, David. Thank you!
Thank you for talking through the steps as well as demonstrating them, then sharing how to go about improving your results (with the what & why you are doing with your third background flash). Sharing speed of your lens (2.8 for the shallow depth of field) as well as your ASA (200) is also helpful. Having an ultra-talented model who looks great just standing there makes it impossible to get anything but a fantastic final product.
Very inspiring how-to video.
Excellent video, Julie's performance was amazing, great shots.
Ahh, David, how brave of you to share your stage with the charming Julie. You do come up with some amazing locations and people to shoot your videos. Thanks for the very helpful multi-flash lesson.
Great video
Like anything that done with good taste it takes layers to get it right
Great photos and video. could've put a silver reflector on the ground to bounce some light back to her face.
For sure. Stage is light colored though so had enough bounce as-is.
Thanks for tip, I think this will be useful for getting photos with fog in background while shooting reptiles in ghats.
Thanks a lot!! It’s helpful. I thought maybe I was spending too much time setting up one flash at a time due to not really knowing what I’m doing but it seems I’m on the right track, if not capable yet of producing what you can…
Fantastic thank you!
☺️
Are you in Paris? I see the french exit on the right.
i am new to shooting outdoors with flash. I have strobes for indoor lighting but I can't afford to purchase battery operated lighting. I need to find a way to power my existing lights outside. What type of external battery unit should I use? I can't seem to find videos on this topic. Can I use a power supply that I would use when I go camping or are there units that are specifically for photography?
Should her face been lit from below a little bit more, or would that have been a mistake?
No such thing as mistakes here. Just personal preference.
