My great great great great Grandpa died of Disease while fighting for the Union Army in Brandy Station, Virginia I don't know what illness it was but watching this was really cool since i have personal connection in a sense
It's a scary fact that two thirds of Civil War soldiers passed from disease or infections. Dysentery and typhoid were the big two with smallpox and even pneumonia making appearances. Army camps were decidedly grim.
