By splitting their highly experienced teams up and supplementing them with less experienced troops, you can maximise their effectiveness. Also this helps the less experienced troops by providing them with trainers and mentors which will assist them in becoming better soldiers, with far fewer losses. Effectively the old AZOV brigade survivors become the officers and NCOs in the new AZOV Divisions.

During the war in Donbas 2014-2022 at the time when the AFU was in shamble they were the primary defenders against the Russian troops and rebels. They even liberated Mariupol from the rebels. It is for this reason why Putin hate them so much.

In fact, he never reported the collapsing situation in toretsk and niu york (before the ukrainians have pushed into the industrial plant)
There is no relation between the 2, the problems in the East were already present way before Kursk, and Kursk is not using a lot of soldiers. The only worry I have is can they fix those problems, and get rid of the remaining Soviet-minded commanders.

I don't know if Ukraine will be able to maintain this regained territory. The important thing is that the encircled forces were freed. Especially since Russia has been caught on camera committing the blatant war crime of executing POWs recently. The good news is that most of the Russian soldiers who committed war crimes at the start of this conflict likely have already met their justice. Hopefully just as frightened as their victims.
I really enjoy how professional the commentary is. While it is made very clear that Russians are the bad guys, and Ukrainians are good guys, there is no sugar-coating or downplaying. If Russians score a victory or accomplish something noteworthy, it is reported as so. This is what journalism should be, not telling people what they want to hear, but rather the facts presented within the scope of the larger pictue.

I really enjoy how professional the commentary is. While it is made very clear that Russians are the bad guys, and Ukrainians are good guys, there is no sugar-coating or downplaying. If Russians score a victory or accomplish something noteworthy, it is reported as so. This is what journalism should be, not telling people what they want to hear, but rather the facts presented within the scope of the larger pictue.
