Beautiful build! I am a huge fan!
Thanks !
Very interesting!!
Thanks :)
Why did you switch from MocHub to Build-a-moc?
Hello, I did not switch, I propose my creations to the two and depending of the price and service I choose on which platform I put it. For now buildamoc seems to be more affordable than mochub on certain creation (not all) and as this service is for people who want to buy my creations, it is better for them.
@@Nico71Fr Ah, good to know! I have some stuff on MocHub, but I’ll definitely check out Build-a-moc as well!
Please make instructions free, I can buy but it ok if you cant
Pretty cool! :)
Thanks !
I love your buildings. The last thing I built was your wobbly watch. Really awesome!
I also very much hope that you will publish a cool vehicle again.
The Honda, Baja and Citroen were awesome and decorate my showcase.
Thanks you for your comment, well appreciated :)
Every time I try building one of these it never works, I only have the newer cylinders, (like the small Volvo) so I’m not sure if it’s even possible.
It is, you can read my article which explains the key features of a good design :)
@@Nico71Fr Thank you very much, it was very helpful.
Would an engine like this still work if I replaced the flywheel with a large propeller instead? (The propeller would act as flywheel, but also generate enough air for the vehicle I am building.)
I'm talking about one of those windmill propellers from the 9688 Renewable Energy Add-On Set.
I can not says as I do not have the propeller, so you need to test it !
@@Nico71Fr Fair enough.
Great pneumatic engine! Sounds so satisfying😊
Nice, it’s very smooth with such a large flywheel.
Terrible just fucking terrible I ordered the set. Before the instructions. And I buy the instructions and without even doing anything and already said, I’ve reached my download limit I am so sick of this it’s misleading and stupid
@@romanaxler589 please contact with the contact form on my website, we will figure out, don't worry.
I would like to know what music is used in video
Calm and reliable engine, good job!
Hi!
Great contraption! I ordered one from the site. However, I have a question, since something seems confusing for me. On the site on one of the pictures, there are three variants: no pumps, 2x pumps (no black chassis), and 2x pumps in handpump (pumps in black chassis). This seems to me they are in order, from cheaper to more expensive. However, in the list where you can select the version, these are the options in price order: no pump, 2x pumps in handpump, with handpump. I ordered the last one, since that was the most pricey, and I assumed that is the one with the 2 pumps in chassis, but the naming confuses me. Can you confirm this?
Hello, thanks for the message, yes in deed this is not very clear, as I do not choose the name on buildamoc, I will ask to change it. But you right, with the most expensive, you will get the x2 pump with black hand pump.
I'm surprised how smooth it is. I had thought you used your custom valve that you made a few videos ago, but it's still really cool that this works with the LEGO pneumatic switch.
No, I have used unmodified video and for the beginning of the video, it is even a very hard switch and cylinder. That is why there is the flywheel and the switching mecanism :)
With a big enough well balanced flywheel, on good bearings, any mechanism will run smoothly.
As an added bonus, the big flywheel makes it look real cool.
@@hamjudo Thanks for your comment ! It mainly depends of the flywheel indeed but also on the switching mechanism and friction of the cylinder and switch. If you have a big flywheel that the engine can not move because of the friction, you will not have a smooth functioning. Considering that the flow rate and pression is limited, it is a balance to find between low consumption or air, enough torque to move the flywheel but enough inertia to overcome the deadpoint of the switch. For the bearing, there is unfortunately not many choice in lego between pivot and ball joint.
Please show this to Lego and beg them to make this an official set!😊
Does your store sell pumps. If so where can I find it. I'm getting a little desperate.
Yes the package on buildamoc includes the pumps.
it doesnt work😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
You need to give it a small boost then start pumping
i dont have place corectely the tuyau (i dont speak very good english) it works now
Hi, I received the parcel and wrote to the mail indicated on the card did I do the right thing? And how long to wait for the PDF instructions?
Hello, where did you purchase the model ? You can contact me on my website (contact form) with your personnal info in order I check.
@@Nico71Fr please help me Because I don't have much time
Aliaxpress
@@shadowspace-minecraft5014 This is unfortunately not a authorized store, you have bought a counterfeit product. I am sorry for you but I can do nothing on this order. You can contact the store where you have bough it asking for a refund. If you want the building instructions, you have to purchase it on my website but I can not guarantee it will be accurate to what you have purchased. The only official retailer for my product are Buildamoc and Mochub, as stated on my website.
please can't you send me the instructions for free, I'm completely desperate
What an underrated channel!
The big flywheel should have some torque with that gear ratio!
Time to recreate it with the small cylinder and pump 80psi through it
connect 2 air pumps to it and made it create its own air to run on, wouldent that be cool?
Not possible because of the law of the physics.
Love the ring gear flywheel
Thanks !
I have ordered one fom buildamoc but I have one questions. Does it actually sound like that?
Yes I have not changed the sound, if your engine doesn't work properly, you can contact me on my website using the contact form, I can Halle you then.
@@Nico71Fr I havent got it yet but It should come in 17th day of this month. I also really like your other pneumatic engines.
I’ve watch this hundred times because it’s so calming
hmm it seems it could benefit from some kind of symmetry for balance!
Yes, but I wanted to create a open crankshaft for display as a nice kinetic sculpture :)
Is the switch modified?
does it work if it's not modified?
Hello, yes it is unmodified, switch cylinder or pump and work fine, helped by the geometry of switching mechanism and the big inertia wheel.
È ancora disponibile per l'acquisto?
Yes !
and when buying a set of PDF instructions will be sent? Just going to buy
Yes you can download the pdf right after and you receive also an email with download links.
@@Nico71Fr Thanks.
Your captions are way too tiny to read. Would you consider entering them as actual captions on UA-cam instead of making them yourself? It allows us to set the font size and appearance ourselves.
Hello, sorry for that but I have checked and even on smartphone, it is completely readable as it is the same size of normal UA-cam. But I know some people prefer to increase the size. I do not want to use caption from UA-cam as they always remove functions by the time so I want to put it directly in the video to not loose it, it is also better for copyright in case of copy video. If you want to know more about this creation, please click on the link to the article in the description, you will be able to adjust the size of text to read the complete story of this creation.
Beautiful.
we got what we came for, thanks
very cool
I suddenly remembered about this channel, about 7 years I saw your video about the Citroen 2cv Charleston, when I found it I watched it loads and then I didn't watch it and now, 7 years later, I found your channel with all this amazing stuff!
Hello, thank you ! Indeed I am one of the oldest channel about lego technic ! Considering subscribe if you want to follow my work :)
@@Nico71Fr I have definitely subscribed!!
Does this require a air compressor?
It requires a air source indeed.
@@Nico71Fr On the buying site, it says if you buy the one with no pumps you need compressed air, does this go for all of them, including the 2 pumps and hand pump?
Cool!
Nico41: You are funny🤣. You are selling the building-instructions for this MOC, but then I came, and I build it with the video. PS: Nico41, I like your models and creations that you build out of lego👍, especially the ones which are build with "pneumatik", but please put the instructions for free✌.
Congrats to have build the engine with pictures ! But, I have never hidden anything in my creations, like other people can do, you can ever see some sample of the instructions which often show the important parts of the creation. In fact, buying my building instructions enables to have a building experience, a way to be guided to build it, and support my Lego work. I am afraid that I can not release free instructions for this one, because, as it is my job, I can not afford to work for free. PS: this is nico71, not nico41 😜
@@Nico71Fr thanks for your answer, i'm sorry that i wrote Nico41 instead of Nico71🤐😅...Today im trying to build your nice 2-cilinder steam machine by the video, if I'm finished, I'll send you a picture by e-mail👍. PS: I like all your videos and creations.
@@wernerfluckiger9845 why do you use so many emojis? The grammar is understandable, maybe you are in a country where you don't speak English, but the emojis
What piece are those black bars to the side of the cylinder?
It is simply lego axle, do we talk of the same part ?
@@Nico71Fr Hmmm. They look round? Maybe it’s just the lighting. :)
Nice job on the reliability and smoothness
Thanks :)
Would love to see a multi cylinder version
I keep the idea for the future, a radial engine would be cool with the big inertia wheel :)
