Hi Nick Thank you for your thoughts. I'm a single dad too and I'm picking up a jungle green Jimny XL today here in Western Australia. I am looking forward to driving out to the forest for a cup of tea in nature with my kids - enjoying the simple life. This may be the last generation of petrol cars made and I bought a jimny for its simplicity to fix unlike modern electronic heavy cars. I will be running this car for a long time. Please make some more videos with your philosophy. Cheers
Got my jimny (3 dr) mid last year as well, and I have raked up close to 30,000km for outdoor and camp. I absolutely love it. It may be small, but it packs a mighty punch in it's own environment ❤
Hey Nick Super video clip, cool with a philosophical take on why you actually want to buy a Jimny... I myself, I'm totally crazy about this little mechanical wonder. This vehicle is in many ways "The Last Action Hero" it's a car for the rough terrain, created in the present but built as in the past. Old school, in the very best way.
Hi! I couldn’t agree more. I have a Jimny and love it. Reliability seems to be a value in danger of extinction and the Jimny is all reliability. Cheers from Mexico!
Hi Nick I got a 2022 Jimny and love it got mine for similar reasons its very small like a hatchback easy to park very economical and cheap to service can hold a family of 4 in Australia we get them with 4 seats can fold down to sleep in and its like a mini 80series landcruiser solid front and rear axles very capable 4wd plenty of modifications can be done to these cars there are very minimal electronics like you mentioned which is the best part, manual transfer case. manual transmission option simple 1.5l engine not much to go wrong the best 4wd's are simple old Japanese designs
Possibly the single most important thing to do with a new Jimny is rustproofing it everywhere as there is zero rustproofing from the factory and quite a lot of areas that haven't even been top coated !!!
I’ve owned and driven the last iteration of the Suzuki Jimny (2018). It’s a manual and very basic. Super reliable, pretty economical to run and fun…I love it!
have the same. Jimny = FUN! We have modern BMW SUV in our garage, but everyone in the family wants to drive the jimny all the time. I did not expect it would be that popular as a daily driver. Still for longer trips its nice and definitely necessary to have an additional normal car.
Hello Nick! Thank you for the video. I’m currently waiting for my Jimny to be shipped from Japan (the same grey color, by the way), and I couldn’t agree more with what you’d said about modern cars being phony. I’ve seen an influx of Chinese crossovers which all look the same, especially on the inside: basically, there is a weirdly shaped driving wheel and a ginormous tablet that controls everything. If something goes wrong, you’ll be stuck indefinitely. Jimny is a completely different thing. Hopefully, it’ll bring you even more joy in the future.
Agree 100% with you. Sooner or later all these modern day tech filled cars will bow the knee to the old school stuff that just keeps on working no matter what.
Absolutely super 😊 Considering options and doing research at the moment. Thank U for this down to earth and honest approach 👊 New Jimny definitely an option for myself. My wife is driving a new Volvo "SUV" XC60 with all that extra modern, trendy stuff... Well yes, good for "safety" of the kids... Or is it?🤔 In the 70's they (3 kids backseat) were piled up in a Saab 90 without seatbelts... My dad always had a big American car 😅
When will Suzuki come back and sell cars in America? I had a 2000 Suzuki. It was very good to me. I hope they come back to America cause they were affordable, practical and reliable.
😂du lyder dansk , jeg er 100% enig i biler er ved at blive halve smart fon 😢og det er heller ik noget for mig , ærgeligt de i suzuki ej laver en 1,6 diesel motor til jimny

Western Australia maybe the best place for the Jimny ❤. Been so many times and seen Jimnys everywhere. You can even tow it behind an RV - sweet combo

Old school, in the very best way.
Old school reliability and ruggedness never goes out of fashion. 🙌🏼
Great video! Greetings from Mexico, I love my 3 door Jimny...
Best vehicle ever. Our one is perfect for my wife and I with No children) up in the mountains

Just traded my 2012 on a 2022 with only 4000km and new 5 year warranty. Happy man!
I’m getting a 5 door red on. I love the simplicity of the jimmy
I wish we could get these in the USA. Smart move on buying this!
i love this car.
its so cute and practical and simple.
Det blæser i Danmark 😜 dejlig bil, har haft min nu i 5 år 👍
I'm jealous. In Canada we can't have it imported until it's 14 years old, due to some bureaucracy. So it's gonna be an age before I can have one
I like the comparison with samart phone

My 2021 Jimny is rocking, 65k, going really well.
Love the seat cover

You put the point on "i"! Good!

Great video. Could you tell me what size your tire is?
I want it sooooooo much 💙💙💙
Hi Nick, could you tell me where you found your sheep skin seat cover, it looks very nice and I cannot find it in Europe. Thank you.
I found it in Denmark :)?
❤❤
Nick, what is the Headunit you got and where can I buy it?
nice colour. we dont have this colour in the UK. shame
Fed video :D
Great car overall only if it had a bigger engine
Я рад за вас. Джимни моя мрія. Я вибачаюсь. Україна.
They are so tiny. Feels like a Fiat 500, but 4x4.
These new ones are to expensive the old one used to be cheap . Poor engines as well , I’ve no experience of the new engine ,.
