I absolutely love the look of your Hoss tools, and appreciate your videos also - no nonsense, no hype, just good solid looking equipment and practical application. I've just spent $25, 000 (NZ) on Grillo walking tractor and implements and intend to return to biological "farmers market - market gardening after initial (seven years) as 'organic field gardener'. I experienced burnout, droughts, floods, marriage breakup and virtual exhuastion including actual helicopter ride to hospital! Now recovered, experienced, and in process of getting properly equiped for 'round 2', as I get finances in order may look to order an array of Hoss tools, depending of cost of transport to New Zealand etc. Great to know you guys are out there doing such good work for smaller scale local food movement. Ashley.
Well done, as always, sir! I love watching somebody else doing the "Zombie Shuffle" straddling rows with the planter! That's gonna be a heap of okra! Good luck with it!
Sure, but it's pretty simple. We just use one of those tripod sprinklers you get at the big box stores. Easy to move, easy to adjust the height and easy to adjust the spraying range/distance.
The marker is nice. I just used it for the first time in similar soil. I think it would have been easier if I waited for the ground to firm up a bit after tilling. It is like dragging an anchor if it is catching garden debris.
Really appreciate your videoes. Planted first round of Jambalaya Okra - wow! Ordering another packet for end of season - hopefully get in the second round crop before 50% first frost date 10/23. (About 10 miles north of Cartersville, GA. Thank you!!
I enjoy my double wheel hoe. I want to add a rear wheel in order to fix the depth in which the cultivator and weed hoe works. I notice the kids ram it down and constantly get stuck. I am sure if I could develop a best depth then they could move at a constant pace.
When we transplant our okra in the spring, we always plant on 1' spacing because that's the spacing on our drip tape emitters. We don't like the plants bushy because it makes it much more difficult to find the okra and harvest it. So we prune the bottom leaves so that all of the okra is easy to find at the top.
Lol I planted one row last year of some cow horn okra about thirty foot long gave alot away and froze a whole lot still have lots in the freezer now so I didn't plant that long of a row this year
I use my row marker all the time love it.
Great to hear!

Ashley.
So nice to meet you! We have a Grillo as well and really like it. Best of luck with your market farming operation.
My family gave me the seeder for Father’s Day, now I can Accessorize it!
Go for it!
Great gift. Use it well.
Wow. If I ever have the space for that size gardening I will know just what tool to get! Love the ease of making straight rows!
Doesn't get much easier than that!
My new HOSS wheel hoe comes today. Can’t wait. And my jambalaya is about 8 inches tall and starting to make blooms. May be ordering more tonight
Good stuff. Love to hear about that okra producing so soon!
Soil looks great travis and that seeder looks well used great video.
That was one of the first ones we ever made. Still kicking and never had to replace a single part.
@@gardeningwithhoss I believe that.

Haha ... the "zombie shuffle" -- love it!
Just planted some of your Hoss's Okra (2 different types). Hope they make with this crazy weather we have been having in Oklahoma.
Hope you have a good crop. It should start making at about 1' tall.
Have the row spacer but never used it, always done it with your other method of using string . But good seeing it used might try it out next time!!!
It sure made things quicker this time!
Can you do a video on your overhead watering set up?
Ya that'd be informative for sure love to see it

Your going yo really busy picking okra ...wow! That is a lot.
Shouldn't take more than about 30 minutes every other day.

Glad the Jambalaya is producing so well for you! Always good to hear!

Ever thought about planting your okra feet apart where it bushes out like small trees?

Will baby powder help lube the seed plate an the seed to flow better
Never heard of using that.
This is my first year growing okra.
You're in for a treat!
Everybody wants more okra?
I'm confused; is okra still a slimy vegetable?
Isn't okra like a string bean that you blew your nose into?
Your gonna have more okra than you know what to do with
That's the plan!
