- I visited New Dundas Park to watch Bonnyrigg Rose v Forfar Athletic in SPFL League 2.
Bonnyrigg Rose face the prospect of being the only team to have been promoted AND relegated from the SPFL since the inception of the pyramid system and promotion/relegation play offs.

I was one of them
@@-Scop3d fair play 🙌
I was there with them
@@f1r3zzzzfire77 yes broo
0:12 good knowledge there for viewers outside of Scotland
The promotion system for the highland league and lowland league which you explained to the viewers outside Scotland
They need to relegate two teams in this League i think to make it fair for highland League and Lowland League teams 2:59
Go wick fc or Nairn county for non league day later this month Sam on the 25th. 😊
Somedy has hit 150k an no one noticed. Superb stuff, rather you than me in a soaking wet Tuesday in Bonnyrigg
Haha I won't hit the next 150k if I don't put in the hours standing in the rain at lower league grounds! Cheers Ross
Loving the kids unfettered enthusiasm!
I was there 🎉
Anyone else think the championship, league 1 and league 2 should have 16-18 teams in them each? This would stop the same teams playing each other so much and make it all a bit more exciting. Now there’s plenty of teams who could step up like Linlithgow, Darvel, Clydebank, East Kilbride, Brechin, Brora etc
Great video. Nice to meet you at the end of the game last night. Thanks for supporting Bonnyrigg Rose again last night! ❤️🌹🙌🏻
750 on a tues night at low league level is awesome!! Credit to em! Long as the kids keep coming this team will be more then fine! Good luck the rest of the way
U never do highland league games
Would you rather travel for 3/4 hour to a game or 1 hour? He stays central so it makes sense.
The thing with Bonnyrigg is they have kept the same players since the lowland league who are not good enough for league 2 and the players they have signed are in their thirties
I was there with my son (10) - would have said hello if we had seen you. We follow the local football scene around Edinburgh when we’re not following Ipswich Town!
Looks a great little club. Hopefully they can stay up.
I live only 10 minutes away from New Dundas Park I hope Bonnyrigg Rose stay up
Need to get yourself to Dumbarton next Tuesday night for the big top of the table clash. Hopefully the mighty Beanos can go top of the league with a win!!
Hi mucker, I'm English and me a my friend used to follow the scores in the Highland league.we always looked at the results on rothes, getting battered every week..now there doing really well.if you get a chance, can you do a story of their improvement.. cheers.
Bonnyrigg needs a “brutal poacher” who only sees the the inside of the goal posts. Not somebody who defends from the front, but saves their energy for the lethal finish. They also need shout, grit, dig it out result which comes from collective inner body core determination on the park. 🌹
I am extremely so sad to see one of my favourite respective team Bonnyrigg Rose to be creating this unwanted record but I am fully hoping to be survived in the Scottish League 2!!!LONG LIVE,BONNYRIGG ROSE!!!🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🏋️♂️

@@kaiser________ Why you have laughed, good friend?
Every single team he covers seems to be your favourite. You post the same every video.
Where's the kiddy catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when you need him.
Great Vlog Sam I remember you covering Bonnyrigg in the journey to the SPFL. It's also good for Scottish Football regardless of what League Clubs you cover as it helps people who's Communities are in the spotlight when you visit! It's a pity people who watch don't press the like button more often as it helps towards for funding your projects 👍
Lol noticed the guy in Pie Bar said they had the second best pie in Scotland. Makes me wonder who is first for pies # Kilmarnock Pie??
How do I subscribe to your channel mate
Hope you stay up from an Annan fan was a great away day especially cause a can jump over to edi for the night out
Great video I was one of the boys surrounding you trying to get a picture 😂
Annan Athletic where voted in the football leauge in 2008 they replaced gretna fc
I was at Albion Rovers vs Annan Atheltic game (due to my football challenge I set in July) and Albion were quite poor, the next game between the sides will be cruical
I am an albion rovers fan and we have been really poor at home recently other than Elgin the other week but away we have been quite good. Won't be looking forward to the Rovers vs Bonnyrigg game
Hopefully see you at Sauchie Juniors one day!
come down and watch Bo'ness Athletic!!!
If that's the second-best pie in Scottish football, what's the best one?
I love seeing different countries football teams
I love your Chanel can you go to a port juniors game in port glasgow it a junior team
You should try watch hashtag United
Cheers for having me on again mate, great to catch up as always ❤
Any time! Hope to catch up again soon
I'd be sad to see Albion Rovers go down. That would have ramifications beyond football.
which ramifications?
Really hope this doesn’t happen!
love your content mate amazing knowledge and always a pleasure to watch mate :)
Hi mate. Thanks for the continued quality content.
Without getting too deep and sombre, I've just come out of a 10 year relationship, and one of the few things keeping me going is the prospect of getting out to as many new grounds as possible to keep occupied. I've been stuck on about 90 for a while but we'll overdue a Scotland binge 😊
I love the fact you just get out there and do it solo - I'll be following your lead!
Another good video Sam your doing Scottish football proud m8 as I said before keep it up the exposure your giving Scottish football is great 👍
When Bonnyrigg were still in the lowland league, they dumped Montrose out of the Scottish cup a couple of years back.
Hi mate, first of all absolutely love what your doing for those if us who love footy utmost respect for the hard work! While your up in Scotland could you pls do a vlogg on Falkirk? When I was a little lad, me dad and his mates were having a few pints in the British legion and they decided to follow a Scottish club, so a map was brought out and wherever the pen landed that was there team lol anyway me fathers mates turn, and he landed on Falkirk and nearly 45 years later still supports them after his beloved chelsea, hes been up a few times with his son, he rang the club to say he was coming up from north wales,, he was made so welcomed, he meet the chairman manager and the team and was given a great time! Itd be great if you could do one about the great Falkirk! All the best pal!👍🇬🇧
Maybe it will teach them not to pitch invade for a mear point. Sums them up though wee club mentality 🤣🤣🤣🤣
6:28 that looks good

Another great vlog.
We live in Manchester but love your content and you are certainly promoting Scottish football.
Interesting to see the Bonnyrig before and after videos.
I wonder how much you've also grown in the last few years after all the videos.

I was wondering that you should go to Lanark united it’s in Lanark Moor Park
It’s weird watching one of these that’s at my home town club
It’s not looking good for Bonnyrigg rose my brother 💙👍🏻⚽
I love the name: Bonnyrigg. I hope they can stay up. I wonder what has happened to the clubs that have gone down. How have they fared? I think of East Stirling; Cowdenbeath; Brechin city. Will they ever get into top flight football again?
brechin city are currently second in the highland league and they could win it this season and relegate bonnyrigg if things unfortunately continue to go wrong, i really hope bonnyrigg can manage the great escape and tbh i think brechin can go up (but relegating albion)
@@just_some_guy_innit I’m glad. Normally clubs struggle when they go down and find it difficult to get back up. I always remember their hedge.
@@ronmac9522 exactly, brechin was a highlight of the lower leagues and i really hope they can go up and return to where they belong instead of some team like stirling uni or tranent
@@just_some_guy_innit I am an old man now but I remember my trips to Brechin. Fans were few but passionate. Their birdies were a treat. Glad Brechin are on the rise again.
East Stirlingshire and Cowdenbeath are near the bottom of the fifth tier Lowland League, Berwick are top half of the same league - but none of those three are ever likely to get back into the SPFL.
It is weird that all the teams that have been promoted are from the East, Fife and the North, none from Lanarkshire or Glasgow.
I was actually thinking that earlier to be fair. With how passionate Glasgow is about its football you'd have thought someone from the west would have gone up by now
Because the current football pyramid only started in 2020 , the lowland league and highland league were already going and only pro clubs could join hence kelty and cove. You’ll defo see the likes of Beith darvel auchinleck fighting to go up in a few years
East Kilbride came close in 2016-17 but lost a penalty shootout. For clubs in the west last season was the first time they even had the chance of getting promoted to the Lowland League (where Darvel failed), so it'll be a few years yet until a WOS side gets into the SPFL.
@@mboothy When will Wishaw be in the prem.
Great video again. Good luck to Bonnyrigg Rose for the rest of the season. Btw, I just had a look at the Lowland League table. Can the "B" teams get promoted?
No it's part of there agreement that they can't go up
