Dorman makes a full set of OEM bent Stainless Lines for about $100. While your add it don't forget to flush your p/s pump. Plan on buying a gallon of brake and p/s fluid. Just did my complete brakes and the truck never stopped better!
Are the brake lines a double flair?? From video it didn't look like you finished making a double flair. Or are they different?? I have never messed with the brake lines on my duramax ( it's a 04.5 gmc).
too late truck masta :D hahaha mine rusted over the tank and was pissing brake fluid all over my brand new fass and bean sump so i had someone do it XD
Hey man awhile back i asked about the service air bag sensor popping off on the LBZ Duramax Was there anything you figured out? Thanks appreciate the other videos btw.
+HYBREED 101 yes I haven't forgot but I haven't got to it yet but disconnected the wire harness clips under your front seats and plug them back in I heard of a guy that did that and the light went away I'm going to try that on my video hope it works
you cant bleed the brakes on newer trucks like that.snap on computer to energise box under truck to bleed brakes or some ther thing you put on master cylinder to put pressure on fluid to pump through. i tried bleeding my back brakes the old fashion way doesnt work took it to shop
you did not properly double flare the brake lines. you only bubble flared the line there is a second step to the flaring process. ua-cam.com/video/wK1TL35pnNc/v-deo.html watch this video from 4:20 till the end and it will explain the proper steps to do a double flare. the reason you need to double flare is that a single flare will result in cracks over time.but other then that great video
You stated “ how to replace brake lines” however you’re only replacing one brake line and still the hillbilly route, not with a oem or Dorman brake line kit. Also I clicked on this video for information on replacing brake lines (plural) not a single hillbilly way of replacing the 1 of 7 brake lines, as well as wasting time hearing about your other projects. Hence the thumbs down..
Anyone ever replace the lines after the rear splitter? Shorter lines that split to each rear caliper? Am i going to have to make my own or is there pre bent out there?
Man, every time I have an issue with my LBZ, I look on here and you have fixed the same issue. I'd be a mess without this channel.
Once again brother, I am doing work on my 07 and learning from you. Thanks for taking the time to help a fellow American. Semper Fi.
