- V Rising is an open-world top-down hack'n'slash sandbox survival game developed and published by Stunlock Studios Logo Stunlock Studios. It was released in Early Access on Steam for Microsoft Windows on May 17, 2022.
As part of V Rising's first Halloween Event, the game was made free-to-play from October 28th to November 1st, 2022.
A year after its early access release on May 17th, 2023, it received its first major update: The Secrets of Gloomrot.
On January 31st, 2024 during PlayStation's State of Play, a PS5 release was announced, planned for release shortly after the full release on Steam on May 8th, 2024. Stunlock Studios plans to release at least 1 more expansion for the game post launch.

You forgot gamepad support, which is a big deal for some people, like myself, who found the wasd controls difficult. Good video though!

It's a server called V Arena. I've got a recent video covering it but they have some fun custom game modes, really cool server.
I liked blc and battlerite and v rising was pretty fun on launch but ran into alot of base griefing and annoying zerg style pvp of people who had no job and progressed faster. Gonna give it a try again but I'm hoping alot of that has been figured out.
This game has been my favourite in the last 2 years, and I am looking forward to the full release tomorrow! Cant wait!

You could lower the music a little bit it's really good but maybe too invasive for your voice.
You mentioned "armor sets to match your playstyle". Does this mean gear farming like ARPG's and other looters? I would love that.
I think mostly it'll still be crafted gear, but we'll definitely see weapons dropping in the world. If you find a nice weapon like a spear with the static enchant, you can keep that spear and upgrade it with you as you level.

@zlet Yeah the roaming caravans and all the new traders in the world really bring the open world alive. In early access it was a lot of chilling in your castle with servant automation lol.

They're not releasing it on ps5 just yet bit that'll come soon. I'd monitor their discord for more information about it.

Assuming you bought it like me in early access, no you don't need to repurchase it

Servers wipe after some time, usually around 3 months. But you can join community run servers that don't reset instead of officials.
I'm curious if anyone has info on how castle relocation works? The pop up window for it at 7:20 seems like a contradiction. Does it teleport all of your castle and everything you placed in it? Like workstations, graveyards, gardens, servants, etc..?
You place a structure at the new location, I think it's called a castle relocator or something. Then you're able to basically send everything from the old castle there.

Just bought the game but will install it when 1.0 releases. For singleplayer I want to make an own public server and fix some timers? and teleport items? As else it's made to have people around helping you and whatnot? If I want a more clean painless run? I read somewhere. Anything else to think of?
you'll want to edit the refinement timers and such, they are tuned around servers always being up, so in singleplayer they are a good bit too long.
same with resouce gain, you'll want more resource gains.
turn on teleport items, otherwise you can't teleport things like cloth, or metal, back to your base after a night of exploring and looting.
the rest of the tweaks are personal preference really.
I remember playing when it first went into early access, but stopped because there wasn't really a way to get to see your servants fight outside of pvp, and me and my friends like to just play by ourselves and rp. Will there be any npc base raids or anything where we can see servants fight?
I haven't seen anything like that yet. Servants are still just for defense and for sending out on missions. You might want to consider joining an RPG mod server. There's a great one called Bloodcraft which will be trios on launch with opt-in raiding. They have special boss castle events with custom servants and bosses to compete over.
@@OfficialRegulus apparently there's thing where you can summon bosses from within your base to get crafting materials, can't wait to get an army to beat the boss up

Well the main point of raiding, for the shards, has kinda changed. I think we'll see more open world pvp and a bit less raiding because of that. They've done a lot of balancing and tweaking with some spells so raiding should feel a bit better hopefully.
How is Duoing? Can 2 people play different roles he benefit each other? Or is the game easy enough you dont have to put in the effort?
You could play a duo brutal server and it would be a real challenge yeah. I have a friend that usually plays a "support" build to shield and heal me if that's what your asking. You can definitely do that.
@@OfficialRegulus So normal difficulty would be to easy then?
@LC-pp4bb Some of the endgame bosses are still pretty difficult on normal mode but brutal mode is a serious challenge. The PvE is only really a pushover on the easy mode, I think you could have fun with both normal and brutal. Definitely gonna take more preparation to do brutal mode bosses though.

Bosses attacks get harder or have more summons or have more projectiles the more vampires in thr area. Some are way easier solo than duo+ if everyone isnt equally as skilled
I’ve been commenting on other videos but so far I haven’t gotten any concrete answers. When I played the game about a year ago, I was getting some pretty bad fps drops when using certain abilities. I have a really good rig and it’s one of the very few games where both my gpu and cpu got hot (basically I had performance issues and temp issues when I really don’t experience that in pretty much any other game). Do we know if they’re planning on improving performance for the 1.0 release, and if there’s any players that experienced similar issues? :)
Yeah there was a memory leak in the early access version. 1.0 is running sooooo much smoother for me on the beta. It's a new engine as well as other optimizations. It'll definitely be an improvement for you. I had a 1060 so I feel you there, it was rough.
Can you do everything solo or is it scaled for groups only?
You can play solo if you'd like.
Free camera? What? Also nice 3 fps gameplay. Instant drop if you can't even do basic things right.
The game does have a limited free cam unlike almost all isometric games yeah. That's an important distinction.
At no point is the camera detached from your character.
@Xuhybrid You can right click and move your camera around in different directions. Also zoom in / out and move up and down a bit. Not at all a feature in most isometric games. That's what I mean lol

Someone on the reddit speculated the release will be aligned with the castlevania dlc. I think it was 8 pst? They'll probably post an update on their official discord today about it though so I'd hover there.
They have a map of the release times on the official discord in the announcements tab
Ok, but if I don't do pvp do we still have to fight over the caravans and rifts? Kinda defeats the point of pve servers.
On PvE servers I think it'll just come down to who can loot the stuff off the ground faster lol. That's why I play pvp servers, so you can do something about it! 😂

wait...when did they fking change camera movements on the game? i remember it as like diabloish with little bit of wiggling and shit. not this mmo type sht. wtf? Dam i got a reason to go back to the game now.
It'd not true free cam. It's still limited but unlike almost all isometric games you can turn and go up and down a bit. I wouldn't be able to play without it hahaha
Controller support?
Controller support is coming but the playstation release is coming later on unfortunately. I don't think there will be crossplay either tbh.

Yeah hahaha the current meta in early access has been insanely bursty. There are new defensive tools coming out which you'll see in 1.0.
I hope it comes to Xbox series x
