Must-See Sites when visiting Saranda, Albania 🇦🇱, Ksamil and Butrint, 2022

- Some of the must-see sites we found while visiting Saranda, ALBANIA in 2022 were Ksamil, and Butrint National Park. Both these places were an unexpected surprise that we didn't expect to love as much as we did. Join us as we explore Butrint national park, a UNESCO World Heritage site located just south of Saranda, Albania. We venture around the ancient city on an unguided tour exploring the Roman Ruins, Castles, Churches, and a museum with artifacts dating back thousands of years. We then travel by bus to the beautiful beach town of Ksamil. This is a top beach destination in Albania with crystal clear blue water and white sand beaches, a must-see in the summer months when on vacation. We absolutely loved both these destinations and would say they are both must-see day trips when you visit Saranda, Albania!

We are three middle aged ladies looking for great places to stay and see. We plan to be there January 2025. Any advice?
We have not been back since 2022 but would recommend staying close to downtown near the beach.
Another great video. Just curious if the war in Ukraine is or is not a concern of the locals. Is there much chatter? I’m also usually on the lookout for beer when I’m traveling.
Hi John. We haven't really heard much from the locals about the war. Albania is very friendly with the US and Europe and is in full support of the sanctions politically. It never hurts to keep an eye out for a beverage wherever you go! Thank you for the support!

It has been between 50 and 60 degrees. That day it was about 63. Nice for late February, early March.

Why did u guys stayed for a month in Serandë? Is it worth it for that amount of days?
We typically try to stay in each location for a month to save money. You can get a much better Airbnb rate in the off-season if you book your stay for more than 28 days. We also save on travel costs by staying in each location for a month rather than jumping from place to place. Slow travel is less expensive. Thank you for watching!!
