Newsboys: God's Not Dead (Drum Cover)
Recorded with six Behringer microphones into a Behringer UMC1820 interface running into my laptop via midi cable, into LogicPro. Video recorded on an iPhone 5SE. Mixed and produced inside LogicPro. Video put altogether in iMovie.
Growing up, you could say that the Newsboys were one of my favorite Christian rock bands. I discovered them through their song "Born Again" when I heard that song at only ten years old. I fell in love with the Newsboys instantly, and pursued them through different songs over time, including "We Believe" and "God's Not Dead" (the one that I covered, actually). All of that said, their lead singer, Michael Tait, who I actually met one Sunday at my church, just announced he was leaving the Newsboys, in which he did not give a reason. This cover of "God's Not Dead" is dedicated to Tait and his time in the Newsboys making some of the best Christian music ever. I pray God sheds light and direction over Tait about what his next steps in life should be, and that he can glorify God's name in all he may do. To God be the glory! To Newsboys be the reward!
