RANKING THE PARAMORE ALBUMS! Just my two cents, drop your list in the comments 🤠 PS, Top 10 Paramore Songs short is coming soon, thanks for watching/liking/sharing! 👍
Alright, here’s my list, done as I watched yours (mine was quite similar) 6: All We Know Is Falling: it’s great but it’s age shows too much 5: This Is Why: Ughhh I’m Sorry, because title track and the news slapped and the rest was ehhhh? I wasn’t a big fan of it I agree the second half & singles has some fun. 4: Riot: I don’t like how low this came in but I had to 3: Paramore: My favourite album, but not the best objectively 2: Brand New Eyes: It’s like Riot, but You can feel the discord rising in here, and one album felt just a bit less shaky in its foundation 1: After Laughter: Equally as good as the self titled, yet more tightly wound and cohesive
The cool thing about Paramore is that nearly everyone I talk to has a different favorite album from them. Mine is This is Why, hardcore fans say Brand New Eyes, and many say After Laughter. It really speaks to the quality of their musicianship.
YES I AGREE! when I first listened to BNE I was absolutely blown away by Hayley's vocals, Zac's awesome drumming, & Taylor's amazing guitar playing, it's definitely up there with Riot! & their self-titled as one of Paramore's best albums imo
God I love this band. Had high high high hopes for This is Why, to the point of being really worried I was hyping things up too much, and then they proceeded to blow all my expectations away, make me feel so many things, get me teary-eyed once again like they do on every goddamn project, returning to the album over and over. Few artists truly hit me in the feels so consistently in the way that Paramore has and continues to do, no matter the line-up changes, no matter how things in my life change. Paramore forever. Still genuinely surprised how little you enjoyed TiW and think it's miles and miles better then Riot in terms songwriting, production and even Hayley's singing, as much as I still love it. Either way though, Paramore is awesome and you once again definitely showcased why. Self-titled is probably my favourite, although not by much consider how much I also love TiW, After Laughter and Brand New Eyes. Last Hope just happens to be one of my favourite songs ever that consistently gets me in all the emotions, tears, goosebumps, existential dread and all, so I'm biased lol.
Brand New Eyes has been my favorite for a while as a pretty casual fan, but I still need to look more into the deep cuts from their other stuff, especially self-titled.
I had hoped that "This Is Why" would have grown on you more after a little while with it compared to your initial reaction/review. To me, their last 2 are their best 2 and the newest one is a stone-cold classic.
So minor update: This Is Why & The Jaws Of Life have grown on me big time! I would still put them at the bottom of a ranked list, but they have tons of bright spots.
Enjoyed the list! I personally would put "This is why" at #2 because it itched my musical funny bone. I dont have the nostalgia of the band though, been getting into them more these last 3 years.
I'm definitely an old-school Paramore fan, so my top three are actually the first three as well. 1. Riot! 2. All We Know is Falling 3. brand new eyes 4. Paramore 5. This is Why 6. After Laughter
I would say, “Riot” is my favorite album of theirs. And, “Careful”, is my favorite individual song of theirs. They are the only 21st century commercial rock band I love. I tend to prefer weirder, and more complex forms of music. But I don’t snub out poppy music, when it has quality. Glad I got to see them at the chase center, in 2023. I am probably one of their oldest fans, being 66.
My ranking (haven’t listened to This Is Why yet): 5. After Laughter - great but I don’t listen to this casually due to the composition, which I like though 4. All We Know Is Falling - I like the 2005 Midwest vibe. Favorite is My Heart 3. Riot - more catchy, love That’s What You Get. We Are Broken is cool. Miracle is very forgettable though, despite being good. 2. Brand New Eyes - legit masterpiece. Favorites are Playing God, Turn It Off, Feeling Sorry, Where The Lines Overlap, Careful, and Decode. 1. Paramore 2013 - BNE is better for casual listens, but this album is an ambitious piece of art. Favorites are Fast In My Car, Daydreaming, Still Into You, Proof, Be Alone, Part II, Now.
I didn’t actually start listening to Paramore until the pandemic. I’m one of those guys that only listens to the pop punk albums as their latter-period albums weren’t clicking with me. I’ve often called Riot my favorite from them, but the more I think about it, I really do gotta give it to Brand New Eyes.
1) S/T 2) Brand New Eyes 3) Riot! 4) This is Why 5) After Laughter 6) All we Know is falling Ain’t it fun is one of my favorite songs of all time. The whole self titled is a 10 for me.
I saw them live a couple of days ago, amazing as always! I also ranked the albums before going to the concert. Here's my ranking: 1. Brand New Eyes 2. After Laughter 3. Paramore 4. This Is Why 5. Riot! (I struggled between 4 and 5) 6. All We Know Is Falling Thanks so much for ranking the albums!
Damn man it brings memories Paramore was one of the bands ARTV got me into... Really means a lot being a subscriber for so long! Thanks for Your work Jon! Keep up the great work!
I am probably very biased but I am one of those rare people that got into Paramore through This Is Why, and it's the first album I've listen to all the way. After listening to all of the other LPs it's still up there as my second favourite only beaten by After Laughter, which blew me away first listen.
Hayley has 2 solo albums actually! She can do it without them too! And the boys helped her on that too cause they’re all childhood friends ❤ nothing but cool vibes now that the bad apples have left the group!
I legit ranked these albums the exact same way a few weeks ago 😂 I love all of them so much and even songs I don’t care for I still like. Such a diverse and talented band of gems ❤️
6. All We Know Is Falling 5. This Is Why 4. Riot! 3. After Laughter 2. Brand New Eyes 1. Self-titled It's difficult to rank their albums considering that my definite top 3 are all equally brilliant. But the self-titled makes my #1 spot because it's one of the very rare albums that's able to keep my attention across 17 tracks and over an hour without getting bored once. Even tracks that I'm not crazy about like Proof and (One of Those) Crazy Girls doesn't hinder the albums strength. I still believe that Future will always be Paramore's most underrated sound and I would love to hear them play it live.
My ranking ( I haven’t listened to all we know is falling yet ) also keep in mind that I’m a new paramore fan and haven’t listened to the albums that many times 1. Brand new eyes 2.S/t 3. After laughter ( controversial I know 4 . This is Why 5. Riot (again this will probably change and I’ve only listened to riot once fully whereas this summer I’ve have AL on repeat)
Brand New Eyes is something else man, what an album. I get that R!OT is more iconic because that’s the record that blew them into mainstream success (a big thanks to misery business), but they reached a balance and maturity with this album. It felt less like a teenage pop punk GarageBand record, and more like a contemporary adult rock album. It’s a shame there was so much drama between Hayley and Josh behind the scenes.
I ranked the albums myself as a long-time Paramore fan before watching the video, and I'm happy to say that our rankings were almost exactly the same. Brand New Eyes is definitely a masterpiece that has stood the test of time for me. Very solid.
Hey man, are you planning to review the new shame album? I remember that you loved their last record, Drunk Tank Pink, and the live performances of the songs from that album. I think their new stuff is awesome as well
I don’t really do dedicated reviews anymore minus some huge releases, kinda burned out on that. But I’ll share some quick thoughts: I saw it was a bit of a step down, but not a huge miss or anything. Solid inertia, fav songs were the first single, orchid, and Alibis
I have loved Paramore since discovering in 2007. I had not been keeping up with their music for several years after the self titled album and missed the launch of After laughter. I discovered it in 2020 right in the height of the pandemic and I immediately fell in love with it. It’s my number one, I resonate SO MUCH with what was going on with the band during this album, oh man, Pool is just like the anthem of my life. My ranking is as follows: 1) After laughter 2) Brand new Eyes 3) RIOT! 4) This is Why 5)Paramore 6) All we know is falling
Okay but can we talk about how on AOTY every one of their albums after Riot are certified Must Hear? Like holy crap the community over there loves them, and that love is pretty damn well deserved as well.
I wish This is Why had a couple more solid songs to really seal the deal for me, it felt a bit short for being over a 5 year gap since After Laughter in my opinion, but I have always loved Paramore.
Pretty easy ranking for me... 1. Brand New Eyes 2. After Laughter 3. Riot 4. Self Titled 5. All We Know is Falling 6. This is Why (only paramore album I can't bring myself to like, I think it severely drags)
Brand New Eyes and After Laughter are also easily my top two albums from Paramore. If there’s any Paramore album that has raw, deeply captivating songs with lyrics that have made me sob on more than one occasion, those two albums take the cake. I’ll never forget listening to 26 for the first time when After Laughter came out. I was expecting to dislike the album because I heard it would have less of their early 2000s emo rock style, but ended up finishing that album with a puffy swollen face! All I Wanted may be a hit on TikTok now, but it will forever be my favorite Paramore song that I remember being my secret little heartbreak song back in 2017.
I like your takes on these albums and your ranking. Ours are different (which is a good thing). But you're insane for your All We Know Is Falling take. I like hearing some negativity or perspectives I didn't think about or know. But your assessment on that album totally undercuts the quality of the music. It perfectly encapsulates a somber, melancholy energy of teenage emotions and angst (fitting since most of them were teenagers). The band was solid from the beginning, especially for being so young. The guitars are glistening and beautiful. It really is a photograph to a moment in time and it captures it unlike any band has captured teenage melancholy. edit (adding this bit here): on this tier list, it'd be at least a C or a B (higher on my personal list). it doesn't belong atthe bottom of the list, even if you said it's not bad.
I can’t believe some Paramore stans actually still think you “hate” this is why the album. You gave it a fair review and re-review right here on this ranking with a B-tier placement. They’re outta their mind lol. Also, to debunk the claim that Jon “hates it when bands evolve”: take a look at where After Laughter, probably their most different album, landed on this ranking.
Honestly Jon's rankings felt reasonable, This is why is just a conflicting album that I want to like but I only like a few songs from it. After laughter is my personal favourite and that was a dramatic change for me bit each song is just so good.
my ranking: 1. S/T 2. brand new eyes 3. this is why 4. after laughter 5. riot 6. awkif i love all these albums, and for riot to be so low hurts me but i just love the ones above it so so much. and S/T kills me EVERY TIME and part II is my favorite song by paramore EVER
My Ranking: 1. Brand New Eyes 2. All We Know Is Falling 3. Riot 4. Paramore 5. After Laughter 6. This Is Why l love Paramore but the latter half of their discography has been hit or miss honestly. Meanwhile the first three albums are flawless and are what made them a household name for a reason. I love 26, Daydreaming, The News, I Hate To See Your Heart Break, Grudges, and certain other songs from these late releases but as a whole absolutely not.
1. Brand New Eyes 2. After Laughter 3. This Is Why 4. Self-Titled 5. RIOT! 6. AWKIF Paramore are my favourite band so all albums are perfect to me. This era though however is my favourite and they are absolutely killing it. I can’t wait until they tour my country.
@@afganskiksiaze actually it is , you could argue it comes down to personal opinion the Lyrically "This is way " isn't very strong , Liar is a good track , but apart from that , and the main single "This is way" has turned even hard core Paramore fans away , This is the News has some old Paramore sound it it , but thats about it also to note it was All We Know is falling that made a lot of people fall in love with Paramore , and RIOT made the band more famous due to that album . All we know is falling and RIOT were back in there Emo days and were highly praised , before they went all mainstream with their sound when releasing Brand New Eyes
Absolutely love this video. It is so heartwarming to hear how BNE changed your life and that the channel shares the same birthday as BNE. Here is my ranking: 1. Brand New Eyes - no explanation needed. 2. All We Know is Falling - this was the first album that got me into Paramore , I may not listen to it as much as the others but it is still so dear to me. 3. Riot - For a long time I had a love/hate relationship with Riot because it didn't sound as heavy as AWKIF but overtime I have grown to love it. 4. After Laughter - I never realised how much I liked this album until very recently. What got me hooked onto this album was the lyrics and dealing with depression in such a candid way. 5. This Is Why - Yep this was harder to rank I really do love the album, its just Paramore have such a wide ranging discography. 6. Paramore - Least favourite out of all of them. As an album it is really bloated and not cohesive, I struggle to get through it. I think the songs by themselves are good. I mucu prefer the bonus track songs.
Paramore is my favorite band and I actually got into them after watching your top 15 Paramore songs video few years ago. My ranking: 1) Paramore (my favorite album of all time) 2) Brand new eyes 3) This is why 4) After laughter 5) Riot 6) All we know is falling
Hmmmm I think my ranking is: 1. After Laughter 2. This is why (although there are some songs I HATE on this album the ones I like I like enough to push it up) 3. Brand New Eyes 4. Riot 5. All we know is falling m 6. Self titled Honorable mention to their 2 twilight singles because both of those songs are in my top 5 songs The fact that after laughter is #1 for me is truly a testament to that album. I am not someone who found them recently I am someone who has known them since the early 2000s. I did NOT want a pop album. But the second I heard hard times I was like holy shit…a band going in a more poppy direction and it’s ACTUALLY GOOD. The only time I have ever experienced such a departure to a bands original sound and still enjoyed it.
The reason Jeremy Davis tried to sue: “It was announced on December 14, 2015, that Davis would no longer be in the band, and that Paramore would continue as a duo. In February 2016, Davis became embroiled in a legal battle with Williams and Taylor York over ownership and authorship of the songs and a portion of the royalties from Paramore's self-titled album, as well as a share of the band's touring revenue and other income. Davis claimed Varoom Whoa, the business entity that operates Paramore, was a partnership, and that Williams and York are also partners. The business denied this, claiming Williams and York are employees (York also admitted this himself), that Davis was paid what he earned during his time in the band, and that while Williams is the only one signed to Atlantic Records, she shared her personal earnings with the band out of a sense of camaraderie.” You’re welcome 😉
Best Promoting = self-titled Best Album (Golden Era) = Brand New Eyes, (surprisingly not Riot! because of this album which is why BNE is the peak) Sponsored tour with Honda Riot! = Rise to the peak of fame ( on the way)
I would also love to say, I would love to see your Jack White ranking as in solo albums😊 maybe as well as the top 10 songs, I’ve been thinking about doing one myself! But that is an awesome video you made about Paramore, I love Paramore so much!!
i just finished discog diving them for a ranking of my own so here we go :) 6. All We Know Is Falling (2.5/5) 5. Riot! (3.5/5) 4. Paramore (4/5) 3. This Is Why (4.5/5) 2. Brand New Eyes (4.5/5) 1. After Laughter (4.5/5) thanks for the video Jon :)
1. Brand New Eyes 2. Riot 3. All we know is falling 4. Paramore 5. After Laughter 6. This is why Not sure if this piss of people but this is my chart. Old Paramore will forever be the shit
Love Hayley Williams, had she arrived ten years earlier her rock status would be off the charts. Only listen to their first three, and still watch their MTV unplugged concert. They never received any radio airplay where I live, and I wonder if they're just a huge regional band in certain places.
unpopular opinion (i still enjoy them all): 6. All We Know Is Falling 5. Paramore 4. This Is Why 3. After Laughter 2. Riot! 1. Brand New Eyes (HIGHLY underrated)
Why does nobody like All We Know? It is rough around the edges but that is what makes it better imo, some of the best riffs I heard from Paramore are on that album like Emergency, Pressure, My Heart & Brighter. As well as heartfelt lyrics people can relate to and aren't that corny like their later albums. Idk I think their new stuff is just tooooooo goofy for me to like and way too polished and commercialized and my hatred for big labels meddling on what artists make bothers me alot and that's why I like AWKIF, there is little to no big label control on it like their post punk stuff. I respect peoples opinions regardless I just don't think it gets the rightful praise it deserves.
Just did a deep dive so was happy to see this video come up. For me: 1. Brand New Eyes 2. Riot! 3. This Is Why 4. All We Know Is Falling 5. Paramore 6. After Laughter
Honestly we pretty have the same list, just switching the Top 2. But none are bad, but the Top 3 are true bangers. 1. After Laughter 2. Brand New Eyes 3. Self Titled 4. Riot! 5. This Is Why 6. All We Know Is Falling
RANKING THE PARAMORE ALBUMS! Just my two cents, drop your list in the comments 🤠
PS, Top 10 Paramore Songs short is coming soon, thanks for watching/liking/sharing! 👍

3- Brand new eyes
4- All we know is falling
5- Self titled deluxe
6- After laughter
Oooooooh nice, After Laughter bumped up a slot. Absolutely love that record!
Brand New Eyes will always be my #1 from the band but I do enjoy all 6 of there studio albums ^^
Pretty easy ranking for me...
1. Brand New Eyes
2. After Laughter
3. Riot
4. Self Titled
5. All We Know is Falling
6. This is Why (only paramore album I can't bring myself to like, I think it severely drags)
Try this is why one more time lol. It's incredible and easily top 3

1. Brand New Eyes
2. Riot!
3. S/T
4. This is Why
5. All we know if falling

I can’t believe some Paramore stans actually still think you “hate” this is why the album. You gave it a fair review and re-review right here on this ranking with a B-tier placement. They’re outta their mind lol.
Also, to debunk the claim that Jon “hates it when bands evolve”: take a look at where After Laughter, probably their most different album, landed on this ranking.
let's be honest, this is why is objectively the best album
No, it’s not ^
@@ohbabybaby4087here is no objective best in music. Stop trying to ruffle feathers for no reason.
Honestly Jon's rankings felt reasonable, This is why is just a conflicting album that I want to like but I only like a few songs from it. After laughter is my personal favourite and that was a dramatic change for me bit each song is just so good.

My Ranking:
1. Brand New Eyes
2. All We Know Is Falling
3. Riot

l love Paramore but the latter half of their discography has been hit or miss honestly. Meanwhile the first three albums are flawless and are what made them a household name for a reason. I love 26, Daydreaming, The News, I Hate To See Your Heart Break, Grudges, and certain other songs from these late releases but as a whole absolutely not.
1. Brand New Eyes
2. After Laughter
3. This Is Why
4. Self-Titled
5. RIOT!

Paramore are my favourite band so all albums are perfect to me. This era though however is my favourite and they are absolutely killing it. I can’t wait until they tour my country.

All we Know is falling is a far better album then "This is way"
@@michaelhawkins7389 nah 💀
@@afganskiksiaze actually it is , you could argue it comes down to personal opinion the Lyrically "This is way " isn't very strong ,
Liar is a good track , but apart from that , and the main single "This is way" has turned even hard core Paramore fans away , This is the News has some old Paramore sound it it , but thats about it
also to note it was All We Know is falling that made a lot of people fall in love with Paramore , and RIOT made the band more famous due to that album . All we know is falling and RIOT were back in there Emo days and were highly praised ,
before they went all mainstream with their sound when releasing Brand New Eyes
Absolutely love this video. It is so heartwarming to hear how BNE changed your life and that the channel shares the same birthday as BNE.
Here is my ranking:
5. This Is Why - Yep this was harder to rank
I really do love the album, its just Paramore have such a wide ranging discography.
6. Paramore - Least favourite out of all of them. As an album it is really bloated and not cohesive, I struggle to get through it. I think the songs by themselves are good. I mucu prefer the bonus track songs.
1: brand new eyes
2: riot
3: after laughter
4: this is why
5: self titled
6: all we know is falling
i would switch Riot and Self-Titled, the rest is spot on for me
1. This Is Why
2. After Laughter
3. Paramore
4. Riot!
5. Brand New Eyes
6. All We Know Is Falling
Paramore is my favorite band and I actually got into them after watching your top 15 Paramore songs video few years ago.
My ranking:
1) Paramore (my favorite album of all time)
2) Brand new eyes
3) This is why
4) After laughter
5) Riot
6) All we know is falling
What is this? Episodes of Ranked being just 2 weeks apart? Am I losing my mind? All seriousness, these are always fun. Keep up the good work!
Haha, I know right? Thank you!! 🙌 I spent way too long working on that Radiohead one and this came together quickly so I wanted to get it out
Hmmmm I think my ranking is:
1. After Laughter
2. This is why (although there are some songs I HATE on this album the ones I like I like enough to push it up)
3. Brand New Eyes
4. Riot
5. All we know is falling m
6. Self titled
Honorable mention to their 2 twilight singles because both of those songs are in my top 5 songs
The fact that after laughter is #1 for me is truly a testament to that album.
I share this exact list and sentiment.
1. Riot!
2. Brand New Eyes
3. All We Know Is Falling
4. This Is Why
5. Self Titled
6. After Laughter
People are sleeping on AWKIF too much
The reason Jeremy Davis tried to sue:
“It was announced on December 14, 2015, that Davis would no longer be in the band, and that Paramore would continue as a duo. The business denied this, claiming Williams and York are employees (York also admitted this himself), that Davis was paid what he earned during his time in the band, and that while Williams is the only one signed to Atlantic Records, she shared her personal earnings with the band out of a sense of camaraderie.”
You’re welcome 😉
Best Promoting = self-titled
Best Album (Golden Era) = Brand New Eyes, (surprisingly not Riot! because of this album which is why BNE is the peak) Sponsored tour with Honda
Riot!
Paramore 2013 is the best one, for me.
Selftitled is my favorite too
brand new eyes is the only album i appreciate every song i dont know how they did it but ever song slaps
I'm so sorry but:
1. Brand New Eyes
2. Riot
3. Paramore
4. All We Know Is Falling
5. After Laughter
6. This is why
All fantastic albums! Paramore can do no wrong!
this is why is top 3 in there catalog IMO but besides that I agree with this list. self titled is also my all time fav still to this day!
Riot is seriously not getting enough love. It's a very close second to Brand New Eyes for me
WELCOME TO THE DCC!!!!
My personal ranking would be:
1.- After Laughter
2.- Brand New Eyes
3.- Paramore
4.- Riot!
5.- This Is Why
6.- All We Know Is Falling
Switch selftitled and after laughter and that’s my ranking. Good choices 👍

3. All we know is falling
4. Paramore
5. After Laughter
6. This is why
Not sure if this piss of people but this is my chart. Old Paramore will forever be the shit
Love Hayley Williams, had she arrived ten years earlier her rock status would be off the charts.
Only listen to their first three, and still watch their MTV unplugged concert.
They never received any radio airplay where I live, and I wonder if they're just a huge regional band in certain places.
unpopular opinion (i still enjoy them all):
6. All We Know Is Falling
5. Paramore
4. This Is Why
3. After Laughter
2. Riot!
@@soully98Exactly! Punk is supposed to sound rough around the edges lol, really liked how raw the album was
