To be honest, I didn't even know they existed when I was 16! The Gitane Champion Super Veloce, seen in some of my other videos, was the bike that everyone wanted back then, 45 years later I managed to track down the actual bike and buy it! Have to say that the Super Six is probably the bike I miss riding the most since I sold it.
@@mrsilbo6499 This TX190 that I owned twice in the last three years - ua-cam.com/video/mRh4DSJQ_rA/v-deo.htmlsi=2O_Yy_2C1ePdfa-P, plus also a 13hp TX160 Mik 26 that I rebuilt last year - ua-cam.com/video/OzaR-PFlXIw/v-deo.htmlsi=SR4aFi3s5KQZTWWF&t=95 a real flier! Never had the earlier TX-96 Caballero 6 speed, but did have a 1972 4 speed 'Super Special' in Gold.
@@fanticman I enjoyed watching all of the links. Have you ever had a Malaguti? The Monte was gorgeous & the Cavalcone would have rivalled a Testi for flat out speed.
@@mrsilbo6499 Thanks very much. As for a Malaguti, not yet! I did come close to buying an Olympique a couple of years ago, not had a Garelli or Gilera yet either. With the odd exception, I've stuck to the Minarelli engined bikes, it's much easier to maintain a central stock of parts that can used on most of the Fantics, Gitane, Testi etc. Would like to try a Cimatti at some stage.
Would've sold a kidney to have one when I was 16!
