Infamous: Second Son (stylized as inFAMOUS: Second Son) is an open world action-adventure video game, developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 video game console.
Infamous Second Son is set seven years after the good ending of Infamous 2, in which Cole MacGrath activated the Ray Field Inhibitor (RFI) to destroy a Conduit (superhumans named for their ability to "channel" powers) named John White, also known as the Beast and cure the Plague. The explosion that resulted was originally thought to have killed all Conduits across the globe; however, those outside of the blast radius or with a natural resistance have survived. Fearing the Conduits' abilities after the destruction of Empire City, the US eastern seaboard and the worldwide economy, the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) is formed. Now, major cities across the United States are heavily monitored for Conduit activity, whom the DUP have labeled collectively as "bio-terrorists". The game is set in Seattle, Washington, now under DUP jurisdiction. Players control Delsin Rowe, a 24 year-old slacker graffiti artist, who wants to help the community by protesting against the government, which he hates. Infamous is set in a open world setting, where the player can do as they please. Parkour is a major element and players can destroy the environment to their use. The player starts with the smoke element and obtains other powers by defeating other conduits. - Ігри

I personially like Delson Rowe. Sure he's not as good as Cole Macgrath, but he's actually a pretty good character to me.
So few people don't realize they can like both and instead hate on one or the other.

Cole was great but it's better that they let him die great then live to become dumb

For once in the infamous games, i feel more preferable to the good karma story over the evil one. The latter karma story, unlike the games predecessors, is just too sad and depressing for me to enjoy. From what I can tell, this installment does the best job with emotional impacts and consequences out of all the infamous games.
i feel like evil karma is more fun when you just want to blow everything up, it’s a pretty good sandbox, whereas good karma is more story focused

Almost a decade later and I still agree. Too many games nowadays use good or bad choices as cosmetics but this actually felt like it mattered what you chose. More than just different dialogue choices
this gameplay was just recommended to me now and i cant believe i sat for 2 hours watching it.

The boss fight against Augustine is all serious business, but then when he kicks her it looks more like a game of 'kick the can.' I can't help but laugh every time.
He was so scared when he got the power I would of been like ohh hell yea
I think you would be scared for a second or two if you lived in a world where it was
- Normal to fear these kind of people
- Be hunted and taken prisoner for the rest of your life
- Maybe killed
- Normal to be hated so much that people can become set on taking your head

I do also find Delsin more relatable. Granted if you got powers like his you probably would be more like his hell yes reaction then Coles more angsty reaction since his did have that water downside. Good Delsin did seem to mature a decent bit as well without having to get completely serious all the time.

So wait he has the power to both see into people's memories and, gain there exact power's they have. That's pretty overpowered but also very awesome.
defently a sub and a like coz u did a heck of a much time on the game i caould not hold out playing a game for so long 2 hours and some more omg but i remember that i played a Saints row the third and i played it in 2 hours 37 minutes coz i loved it so much!

I always wanted to see like a Death battle fight between Delsin Rowe and Alex Mercer from prototype... Their games are so similar, and they both have a huge variety of powers and can both recharge. Delsin with the cores, and Alex with, well, humans.
awesome, kinda miss cole though, was soooo hoping he'd make an appearance some how near the end or in a after credits scene, but still delson is awesome

I played the first 2 games so much as a kid, but I actually enjoyed the story of second son, not as much as the original 2 but i still enjoyed it, I still play all three all the time

The soundtrack is amazing.
I personally like Delsin Row better than Cole. I just found how he got his powers funner and how his reaction wasn’t just rushed for the sake of the plot. He just feels more relatable than Cole did.

You know when I think about it Cole seems stronger because we got to see him at his high points. Consider how Delsins power worked though? He has got some pretty damn scary potential. I mean at the end he beat a very powerful conduit with years of experience whilst he is only around a week of it. Imagine if he got access to the stuff Cole had or just give him time to gather more powers. He could probably turn absolutely anything in the environment into a weapon given how bullshit conduit powers get. Delsin is only limited by what he needs to absorb to use that conduit power but it seems like he doesn't really have a limit on how strong he could get or at least his limit is very high. Plus you know Delsin can swim so there isn't something normal that can stop him and he can survive video game lava for around 10 seconds.

Just curious: was you in a hurry when you played this game? I've noticed you didn't take the time to properly upgrade Delsin's power set before you got to the end boss battle. Tactically dangerous but to each his own.

one question I still have is how Delsin actually GOT the power. Like, did he always have the power to absorb, or is it just so magical that he possessed it?

+KaraBoDaraDolls 5 Delsin's Conduit ability is that of absorbing other Conduit powers: Mimicry. It's likely that whatever caused it to become active was the fact that he touched a Conduit's hand. He probably always had the power, just no one to absorb from since only one other Akomish tested positive for the Conduit gene and that Conduit hadn't awakened their powers yet.
