This game is good. REALLY good. It scratches my card building and pokemon itch while somehow making me stay for the farming aspect, despite its huge emphasis around the combat system. I think it suffers heavily on only one aspect alone and that's what you said. There isn't enough interactions with NPCs. Or really much of anything. Having already poured a good dozen hours, I've noticed that the only really character with any sort of special events is the magic man, and that's only in specific parts of the game. Unlike Stardew Valleys beautifully executed random events, there is no festivals, special things going on, or even a letter talking about the NPCs birthday (you'd have to look in the Calendar for that)! I think this game desperately needs the inclusion of more interactions and events in general, because without it the game feels more like a open-world sandbox than an actual stardew-valley esc farming gaming. While the game is very good, because of that it just makes it feel pretty bare character wise. And of course, what everyone talks about, the lack of character customization also is a minute con. Overall I'm not too worried though. The game only came out two days ago, I'm 100% sure, seeing the positive reception I've seen, that over time they'll include more and more updates that will flesh out the game. It's not like Stardew Valley started out with much of anything, either. Here's hoping to a future of card-collecting farming games!
