Brilliant content. Great to have something a bit different so far into the season.

Thanks Saba, great analysis! I was a bit surprised at the composure of the 3 young ones. They played games I would expect after 15-20 outings. Thanks for highlighting what Lord was doing as I didn’t notice him as much watching live. With Ollie and Moo it gives me more confidence in our young depth

I think Ollie and Cowan have actually been some of the better performers in the period where the forms gone down the toilet, hopefully setting themselves up for that third season where players usually start experiencing a jump

Lord's first half especially sold me over the line that we have no issue with the future of carlton or for our next game if any of the three get selected again

at the end of the day, it's only one game, but if anything, it was an encouraging first showing

I loved their performance. I am curious to see how they perform against a stronger team. Honestly I would be fine letting them run the field this weekend as well. With our injuries and how we have performed on the back half of the season I can't see us making a deep run in finals so I think its a good time to see how these youngsters perform and give them a good chance to perform. Our forward line has been stagnant and we fell into a bad habit of just bombing it long into the forward line because we had a couple talls and that was getting countered extremely hard. I like how we lowered our eyes into the forward line last weekend and I think if we can keep a bit of that mentality going forward it will only help the team perform better in the long run.

I didnt cstch the first hal, bit was impressed by Binns, and he kocked a beautiful goal in the last. Lokewise, Moir came on as a sub, looked ok, missed an easy set shot, but then kicked that arsey goal. I missed Lord's game, but he seems the creme of the crop. Be interesting to see how they play against he defensive Saints

I was very impressed by Lord. He looked very composed from the get go. I think he just simply looked 'quick'.
I was surprised to see the Q3 still you had there showing the pressure graphic. I would have said West Coast's pressure never got above average.
While I am very happy Carlton won, and those youngsters had good games, I'm not going to jump to conclusions on that game alone. West Coast were surprisingly poor. Our boys won't be playing under such conditions again this year. This week they need to show they are up to it under real pressure.

You can never jump to massive conclusions after that game - do think though the kind of performance produced last weekend irrespective of opponent was massive for confidence - take kemp for example whose had his shot for a while

I thought Moir played good in limited time (undoubtedly biased by his beautiful goal). I noticed Binns more than Lord. I like that they all got some AFL time and while I would not be upset to see any of them play St. Kilda, the only way I see them play is if injuries require it. Unfortunately, Carlton is not in position to improve their experience level plus it is too late in the season for that.

They did very well against a very poor opponent Saba. Assuming they stay in the team then this week will be a better test for them. But they should have confidence going into the game and feel they do belong.

The perfect opponent to ease themselves into the AFL level and they'll hopefully keep the ball rolling - but despite the opponent, at times their direct matchup still was pretty worthy - lord was on yeo & kelly at times early on, moir had experienced afl players on him & took some strong grabs - credit where credit's due

Sadly, I think one of them at most will make the 22. My many is on Binns, or maybe Lord. Moir will be an emergency I reckon.
