In Islam, family ties are highly valued. While it’s essential to maintain strong connections with our parents and family members, there are situations where boundaries become necessary. Islam encourages respect, kindness, and compassion toward family, even during disagreements. However, cutting ties should be a last resort, reserved for extreme circumstances where maintaining the relationship would lead to sin or harm. Remember, Islam teaches balance: uphold respect and love for family, but also stand firm in your faith. If faced with difficult choices, seek guidance from knowledgeable scholars and prioritize your well-being while maintaining the principles of Islam. 🤝
I'm not even Muslim and appreciate very much the teachings of Islam. Things about modesty and hygiene, even kneeling to pray. I'm so sorry that as a demographic you've been so mistreated. It kind of makes sense that evil people would hate you though. Evil people will always hate good things.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s heartening to hear that you appreciate the teachings of Islam, even though you’re not part of the Muslim community. Indeed, concepts like modesty, hygiene, and prayer transcend religious boundaries and hold universal value. As for the mistreatment faced by any demographic, empathy and understanding are crucial. While it’s unfortunate that some people harbor hate, it’s essential to focus on promoting goodness and compassion. Thank you for your thoughtful comment! 😊

My father did the same to me. Luckily I had a protective mama bear who shielded me from my father. I used to wish my father never came home but he always did. Luckily by the grace of Allah my mother and father got a divorce and my mother got full custody. Now that I am older I visit my father and respect him. It’s true that setting boundaries can sometimes feel isolating, especially if others don’t understand or respect them. However, healthy boundaries are essential for our well-being. They allow us to prioritize our mental and emotional health, maintain self-respect, and build authentic connections with those who appreciate and respect our limits. Remember that boundaries don’t necessarily mean cutting people off completely. Instead, they help us create a balance between self-care and maintaining relationships. It’s okay to communicate your boundaries kindly and assertively. Over time, you’ll find people who appreciate and support your boundaries, leading to more fulfilling connections.

In Islam, the status of parents is extremely high, and their rights are considered among the most important of all. Children are commanded to be obedient to their parents, show respect, and fulfill their needs. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “He who wishes to enter paradise through its best door must show kindness to his parents” While setting boundaries is not inherently haram it’s essential to approach it with wisdom and compassion.
In Islam, dealing with difficult family situations requires wisdom, patience, and reliance on Allah. Here are my suggestions: 1. Patience and Dua (Supplication): Be patient and remember that even prophets faced challenges within their families. Patience is a sign of righteousness and serves as expiation for sins. Make dua (pray) for your father's righteousness and ease in dealing with him; Allah's help is near, especially during times of hardship. 2. Maintain Your Promises: If you find it difficult to keep promises, recognize that sincere intentions matter. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances prevent us from fulfilling our commitments. If you intentionally broke a promise, follow it up with a good action; the latter can erase the impact of the former. Remember that seeking professional guidance or counseling can also provide personalized advice for your specific situation. May Allah grant you strength and ease during this challenging time.
you dont end your relationship with family that in itself is not what Islam is about. even if your mother and father hate you( you believe they hate you) you must serve them and keep your respect high towards them if they.ask for you to sin you are to refuse. so I dont know why the words Islam thinks are used? Islam has facts Islam doesnt say maybe it said what is allowed and what is prohibited!
Thank you for sharing the comment! It’s essential to approach relationships with understanding and compassion. In Islam, maintaining family ties is highly emphasized, even in challenging circumstances. While disagreements may arise, the core values of respect, kindness, and patience remain crucial.
While it’s true that Islam emphasizes maintaining family ties, it’s essential to recognize that Islam also encourages standing up against wrongdoing. If a family member asks you to engage in something prohibited by Islam, it’s your duty to refuse politely and respectfully. Islam promotes balance-respecting family while adhering to the principles of faith.

I'm truly sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, but I must gently remind you that Islam teaches us to approach even the most difficult situations with patience, compassion, and prayer.
Even it's your wife or mother?

In Islam, the status of parents is extremely high, and their rights are considered among the most important of all. Children are commanded to be obedient to their parents, show respect, and fulfill their needs. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “He who wishes to enter paradise through its best door must show kindness to his parents”
In Islam, family holds great significance. While setting boundaries is not inherently haram (forbidden), it’s essential to approach it with wisdom and compassion. Be respectful, communicate your needs kindly, and remember that self-care allows you to be a better family member. Seek professional advice or counseling if needed. 💙

I'm truly sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, but I must gently remind you that Islam teaches us to approach even the most difficult situations with patience, compassion, and prayer. Instead of seeking harm for others, I encourage you to make dua for guidance, strength, and resolution to your situation.
If you’re facing serious issues, please consider reaching out to someone you trust or a counselor for support. May Allah grant you peace and guide all of us to act with kindness and wisdom.
