How to Get Prayers ANSWERED

A question many people ask is; "How do I get my prayers answered?" A lot of people pray and it seems like their prayers just bounce off the ceiling and don't make it to God, and they wonder if they need to pray longer, or do they need to be praying in a different style, or what do they need to be doing? The answer is you need to be righteous before Jesus. This is what it says in Psalms 34, I start in verse 15. "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears and open to their cry." If you want Jesus to hear your prayers you need to be righteous before Him. Most people are NOT righteous before Jesus, they are in sin, or there are doing something that is not pleasing to Jesus, and so when they pray the Lord does NOT hear or answer their prayers. This is what it says in Isaiah chapter 59 about their prayers. "Behold the Lord's hand is NOT shorthanded that HE cannot save, nor His ear heavy that it cannot hear, but your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will NOT hear." Many people are praying but the Lord does not even hear their prayers. HE chooses NOT to hear them because they are NOT living righteously. So the first thing you need to do if you want your prayer to be answered is you go and ask the Lord Jesus if He even knows you. The Lord Jesus obviously knows {about} everybody, BUT He does NOT know them in the way that He approves of them. So when you go and pray, ask the Lord Jesus; "Do you know me? Do you approve of me? What do I need to do to be righteous in your eyes?" AND THAT is the first step to being able to pray an effective prayer. You need to be praying in the will of Jesus and you need to be righteous before Him. So go and ask Jesus how to be righteous in His sight. Ask Him if He knows you. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
