Finally someone else who is aware of this! Iirc, it used to be higi village's OST prior to 2.1 where higi village's OST was changed to the musoujin gorge OST which was right next to the village. This OST also has a chance to play in yashiori island areas that have the rain cleared but not the final quest of orobashi's legacy completed which clears the stormy clouds.

I've been playing for well over 2 years now and i have never once heard this track. Honestly feels strange that they hid such a beautiful track from us on some random little island. Ill have to check this out for myself next time i play.

Tbf some of events being revolve around Mondstadt and Liyue is kinda understandable. Mondstadt is being an OG, "where it all begins" meanwhile Liyue represents China - country where Hoyoverse is located, which is why they pay so much respect to those regions. But I agreed, they need to make events in other regions (Inazuma and from now on Sumeru too I guess). Atleast they periodically bring back characters from those regions (recent event for example) which means they are not forgotten, there are just a priorities
@@SentenceToDESU i think it has a lot more to do with the the fact that Inazuma is quest locked. it's much more fair to new players to, say, give them an event like Roses & Muskets with an AR 20 requirement in Fontaine which is accessible from the start of the game than something like the Irodori festival which had an AR 30 requirement and was in a region you have to clear two AQs to open + do the Ritou Escape Plan quest. i would like to see more Sumeru events (though they've had a few) but though I think they like Inazuma, they can't really do as much with it until they do something about the quest locking of the region.

I am pretty sure this track plays when you are on the waverider in Inazuma. Just keep hopping off it and wait for the music to stop, then hop back on to cycle tracks and you will get it! Edit: I just realised they removed this in 2.1... WHY??? WAVERIDER SPECIFIC OST WAS SO COOL???
I had heard this ost at Nazuchi beach, but it was even more unexpected that for the first time I heard this ost could even be played in front of momiji domain too when I was co-op!
I actually remember this ost, i remember trying to find it again 2 years ago but i coudln't, i remember hearing it during world quests in yashiori island while it was still rainy and lightning used to struck down everything 24/7 before completing orobaxi's final world quests. And its interesting because a lot of genshin OST peaces have dissappeard from the open world, like in Fontaine final Archon quests, there was one piece of BGM in the courtroom of the Opera Epiclése that i was not able to find ever again.
With this ost on a certain place and on a certain weather, there has to be a lore on this location. What the heck happened here for that beautiful ost to play?
I remember pretty clearly. This was among the first Inazuma soundtracks I had heard, back in 2.0 while sailing towards Yashiori Island for the first time. I don't remember hearing it after completing the local world quest, though. Checks out.
You can hear Scarred Island briefly in the Wanderer Interlude Archon Quest, when the Nameless Child dies in the flashback. It's such a good track. So haunting.
So, i was pretty sure that i have heard this ost so many times despite not coming to this spot that often. But now that someone mentioned it, it was the ost of Higi village. But it was changed later. Now it only plays here under certain circumstances.

For me, this one only played in early 2.0 when you sailed the inazuma oceans with the boat, then right after they changed it. A real shame, cause they really fit well with the ‘sailing in inazuma’ vibe

Never knew this was ever a thing! Though knowing I still missed a lot of places on the map, it makes sense I've never heard this OST, as a new player on top of that. It sounds like a very cool detail. I think removing it from the rest of the island kinda makes it special, like some sort of easter egg. It feels quite nostalgic! Like those games that have a lot of creepy and unique easter eggs

I think theres another even rarer soundtrack that you could only hear once during the archon quest of 2.7, its the battle theme in the crystal cave and it played while fighting an abyss mage who only spawned during the archon quest there arent any enemies in that area now so you cannot listen to it in game now but its so beautiful one of my favourite genshin soundtracks of all time its called “inevitable conflict” and is the closing track on milletith’s watch

btw thats not the only spot it triggers. there's like a whole stretch of area north of yashiori island where it triggers the cloudy skybox to change the ost. the easiest one to access imo is near a branch in the middle of the water north of nazuchi beach, swimming around that area will trigger the skybox and it will stay until u swim back to the land. in addition to this, if you open archive (and formerly party setup) anywhere on yashiori island that isnt a subarea it will play the old higi village soundtracks as well. however, this seems to just be a bug so it may get fixed some time like it did for party setup, which was only in effect during 4.0. and yea, it's such a shame that they ended up removing these two tracks from higi village. i wish they at least kept the waverider soundtrack triggers so that it would be easier to hear it in game
oh yea also i just read your pinned comment and the reason it may not trigger sometimes is cuz u need to cross over a specific spot on land for the skybox change. if u dont, it will not trigger, and iirc the spot was somewhere in between the floating interactable rock and one of the islands (i dont remember which exact one since its been a while since i went there specifically)

This one plays when under the water on the ocean floor in the section of Inazuma between Tsurumi Island and the three main home islands. When I was down there exploring it played quite frequently. I did not know this was a rare soundtrack.

Oh dang, I heard this exactly ONCE in game while exploring back in 2022. I was just cleaning up my remaining exploration for the region, and would often afk to grab snacks. Left Klee there while afk, and I came back to this track that I never heard before. Couldn't replicate the conditions again since, so it's great that I can listen to the soundtrack again without relying on a playlist.

I had heard this ost at Nazuchi beach, but it was even more unexpected that for the first time I heard this ost could even be played in front of momiji domain too when I was co-op!
I actually remember this ost, i remember trying to find it again 2 years ago but i coudln't, i remember hearing it during world quests in yashiori island while it was still rainy and lightning used to struck down everything 24/7 before completing orobaxi's final world quests. And its interesting because a lot of genshin OST peaces have dissappeard from the open world, like in Fontaine final Archon quests, there was one piece of BGM in the courtroom of the Opera Epiclése that i was not able to find ever again.
I don’t think I ever heard this throughout the entire game, I actually love this ost, it’s so calm yet sorrow

You can hear Scarred Island briefly in the Wanderer Interlude Archon Quest, when the Nameless Child dies in the flashback. It's such a good track. So haunting.
So, i was pretty sure that i have heard this ost so many times despite not coming to this spot that often. But now that someone mentioned it, it was the ost of Higi village. But it was changed later. Now it only plays here under certain circumstances.

For me, this one only played in early 2.0 when you sailed the inazuma oceans with the boat, then right after they changed it. A real shame, cause they really fit well with the ‘sailing in inazuma’ vibe

Never knew this was ever a thing! Though knowing I still missed a lot of places on the map, it makes sense I've never heard this OST, as a new player on top of that. It sounds like a very cool detail. I think removing it from the rest of the island kinda makes it special, like some sort of easter egg. It feels quite nostalgic! Like those games that have a lot of creepy and unique easter eggs

I think theres another even rarer soundtrack that you could only hear once during the archon quest of 2.7, its the battle theme in the crystal cave and it played while fighting an abyss mage who only spawned during the archon quest there arent any enemies in that area now so you cannot listen to it in game now but its so beautiful one of my favourite genshin soundtracks of all time its called “inevitable conflict” and is the closing track on milletith’s watch
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BATTLE OSTS EVERY OMG. SO GLAD YOU MENTIONED IT! I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE IN A WHILE, BUT I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT. IT'S STILL MORE POPULAR THAN THIS OST THOUGH, PROBABLY JUST BECAUSE IT'S SO INTENSELY BEAUTIFUL LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL AND I THINK MORE PLAYERS WERE AROUND DURING THAT TIME AS WELL AS COMPARED TO 2.0.
btw thats not the only spot it triggers. there's like a whole stretch of area north of yashiori island where it triggers the cloudy skybox to change the ost. the easiest one to access imo is near a branch in the middle of the water north of nazuchi beach, swimming around that area will trigger the skybox and it will stay until u swim back to the land.
in addition to this, if you open archive (and formerly party setup) anywhere on yashiori island that isnt a subarea it will play the old higi village soundtracks as well. however, this seems to just be a bug so it may get fixed some time like it did for party setup, which was only in effect during 4.0.
and yea, it's such a shame that they ended up removing these two tracks from higi village. i wish they at least kept the waverider soundtrack triggers so that it would be easier to hear it in game
oh yea also i just read your pinned comment and the reason it may not trigger sometimes is cuz u need to cross over a specific spot on land for the skybox change. if u dont, it will not trigger, and iirc the spot was somewhere in between the floating interactable rock and one of the islands (i dont remember which exact one since its been a while since i went there specifically)

This one plays when under the water on the ocean floor in the section of Inazuma between Tsurumi Island and the three main home islands. When I was down there exploring it played quite frequently. I did not know this was a rare soundtrack.
Even as an huge Inazuma fan (My favorite region) I have never heard this song. I spent countless time on Narukami, Kannazuka, and Yashiori Islands and never heard it, so thank you a lot for showing us this

1:10 yes this music plays when you’re using the waverider in Inazuma, it’s quite common actually
AS I STATED IN MY PINNED COMMENT, "In 2.0, this OST used to play in various other places on Yashiori island, one of them being when you set sail on your waverider. However, by 2.1, this OST was removed from all those places for an unknown reason. The only way to trigger this OST today is the method used in this video."

Oh dang, I heard this exactly ONCE in game while exploring back in 2022. I was just cleaning up my remaining exploration for the region, and would often afk to grab snacks. Left Klee there while afk, and I came back to this track that I never heard before. Couldn't replicate the conditions again since, so it's great that I can listen to the soundtrack again without relying on a playlist.
