It’s never good to get anything in the piston cylinder but it should burn it up with the combustion. Try to remove it if possible. Always blow debris off the engine before removing the plug to prevent debris from falling in next time 👍
The gas line has hose barbs on the carb, just use your fingernail to push it off while carefully pulling with your other hand. It will be easier to reach when your motor is loose
There isn't any performance to be gained from the spark plug wire, just better build quality, which gives you not a better spark, but rather maintains an appropriate spark for more miles/years before their performance degrades to the point of needing replacement.
