I got the FD account out of Cowpens SC but it kicked my butt so much, I rolled over into the over-the-road division with USX. That was over a year ago. I love otr but I got very badly out of shape - plus, always in the back of my mind there was this family dollar monster laughing because it got the better of me. I decided to quit the otr, take a few months off, get into shape, and give the dollar account another try...for many of the reasons mentioned in this video. I'd like to prioritize fitness and a healthy lifestyle, with plenty of time to cook and hit up a grocery store. It's very difficult to find driving jobs that prioritize fitness, but I feel like this is the best example of one. A few questions: do you know anything about the Front Royal VA dollar account? That's the one I'm thinking of going to. Also, you look like you're in great shape, do you have any workout advice for someone like me who is coming from a very sedantary over-the-road driving job, trying to hit the gym for a few months to get ready for a dollar account? Thanks for any help - your video was inspiring (you were positive and fair instead of just negative and complaining the whole time like many other commentaries about this route).
I'm not sure about Front Royal, but as far as getting in shape, I would say stay away from fast food, count your calories, and create a workout plan that align with any fitness goals you have. Consistency and dedication is key.
Are you still here on fd account? I’ve been here three months, been driving almost 5 years, even with 3 loads a week I didn’t make near 2 grand a week, now I’m down to 2 loads a week since they changed up delivery schedules, even though I’m still be of the fastest guys they have, am never late except when they make me late by not having enough fd workers to load the store, and I never call off or turn down loads, I was told the lp drivers get first dibs on the three load routes so they can make their truck payments, I heard a lot of drivers are quitting cuz of this 2 loads a week garbage, I don’t want to because I like the workout unloading a truck gives me, but I won’t take this forever
Wow thanks for this! Exactly what I was looking for. Seems like it could be good for me. I'm thinking about switching to FD in July out of the Charlotte, NC area. You said 2k a week? I feel like my recruiter just told me $135 per unload but maybe ill verify. How much time do you get to yourself each night after unloading? Does the job allow you stick to a steady sleep schedule? Did it take long to get used to the route that your on? Does your route vary week by week? Does anyone else you work with get paid about the same? Sorry, so many questions lol. Thanks man.
A lot of it is situational. I get plenty of sleep and time to myself, but I also don't take breaks. I don't eat until the truck delivery is done. So I get done fairly quickly. It could take months for you to be good at it, depends on you. People quit too soon, it takes time to adapt. It's very easy, just have to have a strong work ethic.
@@Truckincarnivore I am it’s been a year now . I almost quit a few times but it gets my home every week and has become much easier after getting used to the routine
To each their own. I'm single with no debt or children. And this account allows me to focus on projects and passive income. Can't really see a better alternative.
That’s why I’m here because in one week I made $480. I’m here to see what everyone else thinks about breaking their backs and having trailers thrown with several stores in them and getting all their boxes in the wrong place?
@@WeaponryFitness22 where’s the steroids you use? I’m not saying you do steroids I’m just saying it’s unnatural to work this account for the small amount of pay
Way to go my brother I support you ✊🏽. I’m on the US Xpress Dollar General account.
😂😂the landing gear. I’m glad you love the account. I have orientation Monday I’m excited

What days are you home during the week? If you do 3 loads
Typically Fri, Saturday, Sunday.
@@WeaponryFitness22 that’s good home time
@marcossifuentes9713 Yeah more than enough time to be a full time content creator 😌
@@WeaponryFitness22 I’m thinking of applying b it was a bit hesitant cause of the home time but that’s plenty bro lol might hop on
They pay 45 cents a mile. But how much do you get paid for the stop? And how much you average brother?
As of now it's 235 per trailer, plus mileage. But guaranteed 2K/ week for 3 loads minimum.
Starting FD account Monday thanks
Are you still on fd account, curious because not many make it that long
