Hi Vaani..this is the same Anirudh who used to ask for your bookshelf tour 😝. What a lovely video. Also, please share how do you travel lightly with the intention of bringing back these many books back from the trip.I always calculate that part terribly wrong.
Vaani about Pablo Neruda, he taped a Sri Lankan woman & even wrote poem about it. You can decide if this makes a difference to you but I won’t read people like that. I can’t support art by such people
Vaani's content is great but I hate the way she pronounces a few words - Interesting, poetry, pocket and so on. For some weird reason it really annoys me. Sorry!
For me to read these intellectual books I would have to be in a state of mind where I wouldn't have any worries. 3 major worries of my life - My future, My Mental & Physical Health, My family. So basically not in this janam. I would have to have all the free time in the world. No job. Just me n a blissful peaceful life. I don't see it. So thanks y'all for recommendations that poor people can't afford literally & figuratively.
Lol. Sorry, but this chick would not know a good translation of Homer from a bad one if it slapped her in the face. Saying that someone's published translation of a Greek epic is bad is as disrespectful as the last sentence. And no, reading a couple of Reddit reviews to arrive at that conclusion does not make it okay.
Which book according to you is a must-read in 2022?
Makers of Modern India by Ramchandra Guha
Yes prime minister
It's more than just political hacks
