- Discussing the meaning of the zodiac sign Capricorn in astrology, and explaining the traits and personality characteristics associated with people born under that sign, with astrologers Diana Rose Harper, Madeline DeCotes, and Chris Brennan.
Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac, and it is a feminine or nocturnal sign, cardinal, earthy, and ruled by the planet Saturn.
This is the tenth entry in our series of episodes where we do a detailed treatment of each of the signs of the zodiac, one per episode, in order to develop a more nuanced understanding of their core meaning and significations.
During the course of the episode we talk about different keywords and archetypes associated with Capricorn, and also look at the birth charts of celebrities who were born with different planets in that sign.
Diana and Madeline's credentials for this episode are that they both have a number of prominent placements in the sign of Capricorn in their birth charts.

Capricorns are like diamonds. They go through the worst pressure (and pain), but they can be extremely resilient and builders of things that are long lasting and that seem impossible to be done by some people.
Laying in the hospital in pain. This resonates❤
💯❤️
and its tough as f....
Well said and i find that true in myself.

I love that you preface each episode of this series with "2 hour deep dive" and each one has been more like a 3 1/2 or 4 hour deep dive. Thank you for including so much information, these are a delightful treat.
One note is that I’m surprised you all didn’t mention is MLK Jr being a Capricorn sun. The last speech he gave before he was assassinated was about how he had been to the mountain top and saw the promise land and he wasn’t sure if he could go there with his people. It really reminded me of everything you all spoke about the creation of foundations for others to stand on and building mountains to last for generations. 🖤
Your comment is so beautifully worded. Thank you for sharing such poetic wisdom, in regards to MLK’s mountaintop.💜🙌🏾
MOK along with Mother Theresa and JFK soo many others you left out.
@@lisashufelt9996 Jah & Jahes love. JFK is a Gemini. I don't know what his Moon and Ascendant are though. And, JFK Jr and his sister are both Sagitraian. Blessed love. #1804 #Ayiti
Wow. (Cap sun/cap merc cap Venus all in 4th house)my favorite shirt has that exact quote on it. Thank you for adding even more meaning to it.
I have a seven planet capricorn stellium in the 4th, including both luminaries and all personal planets. I am the capricorniest capricorn that ever capricorned, and I didn’t feel like a capricorn at all until the Saturn transit through the sign a couple years ago, and even then not fully until my saturn return started in Aquarius. Something about that somehow just feels even more capricorny 😂
Ahaha Woa I have 6 planets in Capricorn. You win haha 😅 don’t feel like a typical Capricorn either. I’m currently going through Saturn return so let’s see 😇
I thought my 5 was huge 😁
Lol! Holy cow. Or I should say, Goat! 😂👍
G.O.A.T
Greatest Of All Time G.O.A.T! =.)
I am a firm believer that background sounds are meaningful, especially on podcasts. Whenever I hear a guest apologizing for their dog barking, I think: the dog is underlining whatever you are saying right now. Similarly, the construction sounds that one of tge guests apologizes for is SO CAPRICORN, right as you were discussing hard work and the quarry symbolism of this sign! 🤣 👏🏼🔨🪚
There are no coincidences!
@@oneirologic4462 TANC as Aliza Kelly always says.
I thought just the same!!
Thank you for enlightening me on the distance, seriousness and sadness of my Capricorn family members. So many questions answered. I do enjoy seeing them getting younger and lightening up as they age!🤩
As a Capricorn stellium, this was so loving and healing. THANK YOU!!!
Agree - fellow " Cappie " here !!!!!!
Gemin& Capricorn placements “every new interest i take on, i must master it” is so relatable. When I try something new, I have to do it the “right way” and master it by asking a million question to someone who knows how to actually do it.
got similar placements, it resonates what you say
So as i am☺️
Same. Capricorn stellium with Saturn in Gemini
I'm only 27 minutes into this and I'm loving it!!! Great energy bouncing back and forth. And loads of great info and images already. I am a Capricorn and what I've learnt about daydreaming vs. doing is: daydream a lot, and then start doing when you feel excitement (don't wait for all conditions to be perfect!). When you finally start doing, do easily and allow others to help out. Magic can happen, as you know, and it's real. Love to all! 💖
That's a great prescription to Cappy
@@jjones2322 Thank you for your comment! I totally forgot about this and when I read my own comment again, I realized that this is exactly what I need to do right now! :) Cheers, Cappy.
Hi. Capricorn rising here. I freaking cried. This episode was so revealing to me.
PS: so lovely to see so much saturnian energy together 🖤
This was the best Zodiac sign discussion! I could not step away! I learned a lot. Thanks!
That’s exactly how I felt, and it never happened before!
@@Morgainee1 me either
Love this episode. The best Capricorn interpretation and explanations I’ve ever come across. Thank you so much
I have to admit I'm a little disappointed he didn't have a Capricorn sun on to share their insights. For every other sign in the series, he interviewed someone with their sun in that sign.
@@PS-qn4oz Interesting. I thought the whole talk was about Capricorn sun...
How are you all so brilliant? Every guest on here blows my mind with their knowledge and creativity.
I like the idea that Capricorn being feminine understands that procedures and managing people and communities needs structure. And that Capricorn across from cancer is the result of good foundations and nourishment. I absolutely love these sessions so thank you for making astrology so fun ❤🎉
I’ve got sun, mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in Capricorn in my 5th house. I’ve been waiting for this episode!
im a capricorn so i pressed this and then i realized there is a Diana in the video! made me smile
The archetype of Capricorn is mentioned here as a father but Capricorn has a feminine energy. I always find it difficult to reconcile these two opposing concepts. But if I think about Capricorn as strict grandma it makes sense 😊
I’m a Capricorn with both my mother and mother as capricorns and I can tell you that they were extremely strict, honest and hardworking, specially my mother who lived her entire life handling responsibility and sacrificing her love life of any other source of pleasure. My father was a drunk and died when I was 11, leaving my mom to raise 8 kids all alone in a very dangerous place and with no money or schooling. But despite all that, my mother still managed to save money to buy a house for us to live in and after we grew up and left, that house became her source of income as she divided it into 4 small studios and rent them out now that she no longer works as a maid.
All three of us came for poverty and had a tough upbringing, but me and my mom both built a life for the future of our financial security.
I feel like capricorns have a bit of Pluto influence as well as Saturn because we suffer a lot, but still manage to come out stronger.
@@lillithmoon2935 My grandpa was a capricorn sun (from mothers side) and my grandma from mothers side was libra sun and I have saturn in Libra. I think it works both ways:-) Your story is trully capricornian. I sometimes wonder were my procrestination comes from adn why Icant keep money. Maybe beacuse of sagg moon in 12th house and venus in aries. am 40y old and I whish I had created that security form my self, but...a long way from that even though I am craving it.
Lol…yes.
I would highly disagree that Capricorn is feminine energy. It's purely masculine..
@XIII • EGO DEATH Capricorn is a sign of rules, regulations, discipline, laws and structures. It's ruled by Saturn. Where is feminine here from?........
LOL! Leave it to a Capricorn to chuckle while saying "We're all going to die". Being a double Capricorn I sometimes upset people w/ such direct truth. I find facts & truth very refreshing & stable.
I adore how Diana expresses herself. So balanced. She’s goals.
Being born on a full moon in Capricorn is a part of me that I'm really connected to. I feel like a Capricorn more so than anything else when it comes down to it. This episode made me feel so seen and gave me new insights I hadn't associated with my Capricorn moon before. The part about feeling responsible for everyone and everything from a young age - that's it. When we let go of that we are liberated from that prison we had put ourselves in.
You must have a night chart then?
me to
@@anettecortez no I'm actually sun in 9th house day chart, chart ruler in 8th house too
This is such a funny episode! 😄
You three get along sooo well with each other. I would love to hear more in this constellation 😍
Thank you Chris, Diana and Madeline! 🌟
I’m a cappy-they’re singing my song 💚
I love the witty, snippy Capricorn banter happening between Diana and Madeline in this episode.
I got so many good new archetypes and descriptors for the sign in this episode! Love it! Thank you!
One of my favorite episodes of the series. Great analogies and examples. Great work as always :)
Sun, moon, mars, mercury and south node in Cap in the 7th house. I thought that was a lot but loads of even more Capricorn folks here! Wish I could meet you all and compare notes!
Diana and Madeline have great chemistry, they had me laughing along with them 😆 thanks for another wonderful episode and I'm looking forward to the Aquarius installment!
Capricorn sun & Neptune, no other earth placements. I’m always surprised when people are proud of their Capricorn stellium, because in my world as a Capricorn sun - everyone seems to hate us & only speak negatively of us. What I hear most often is egotistical, cold, boring, stuck-up, etc.
I have a 4 planet Aquarius stellium in my 8th house, which I love. I love Aquarius energy. I’ve been told, even by Capricorns, that I’m the most friendly and outgoing Cap they’ve met lol.
But with close and intimate relationships - water signs need stay far away. The Aquarius energy supporting my Capricorn sun makes me very emotionally detached. People always think there’s a hidden sensitive, cuddly bear in me, but there really isn’t. I love and fight for the world at large - the stuff that really hurts me are large scale things that hurt humanity and Mother Earth. Interpersonal stuff and people’s day to day suffering… it’s hard for me to be sensitive when I see much larger issues happening in the world.
So it’s hard for me to have relationships with people who expect a lot of emotional depth.
🍻
The tiny Tupperware!!! YES!🤣 (And the: "Can I get a coupon?") You guys were right on about so many things. I found myself laughing as I identified with your observations. People sometimes forget what a wicked sense of humor Caps have - dry and quick. I love chatting with another Capricorn because we crack each other up. Serious, all business at times, making do, discounts on the highest quality, but salt of the earth, rock solid, dependable. Thanks for a thorough look at the sign - the plus and the "not as plus".
27:21
YESSSSSS!!!!
always felt like Capricorn was Stone Mountain (stone, metals, gemstones) versus Virgo’s field of herbs in the forest (medicine and building wood) and Taurus’ well tended fields (food and drink 🍷 ).
Lovely visual
Best value for time spent absorbing - deeply satisfying episode, thanks for the insights y'all!
I enjoyed the intelligence of the guest astrologers and that they gave many incites to Capricorn as well as other zodiac signs, also they were able not to take themselves too seriously which gave me giggles. I have Moon in Cap and my son a stellium in Cap. Cap is like “ don’t get too excited or expect too much. You might get eaten by a lion on the way to the supermarket or a meteorite might hit your house in the middle of decorating or you might find all the Cancerians are getting all the hugs at the party again “ lol 😂
😂😂😆 so completely true Cap Sun and Moon here
@@backtofacts Yes I think Capricorn is very cautious of its environment. Saturn says “ I am the Lord of Time therefore the lord of death 💀, anything could happen at any time 🕰️ “ lol 😂
@@100woodywu Yep! And often does!
Chris you are such an amazing person! Thank you for the take back, sir. My daughter looked at me and opened her eyes so wide. I was like - he must not get visited because he stopped believing. Like in Guardians - oh lawd, Quick save on my part. lol But your take back certainly helped.
Wow Amazing amazing “work” thank you all, absolutely thrilling to watch
Thank you for your dedication and diligence, Chris! 💚🙌🏾 Your podcast has helped me significantly, in regards to liberating myself from rigid worldviews. The structure of your episodes is second to none. The replay-value on your videos is very high. In a age where content is getting shorter, it is refreshing to tune into content that goes deeper than the norm. Salute to you and your team. Your work is very much appreciated. Sincerely, a Whole Sign 6th House Aquarius Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. 💜🌞
I'm excited! I've been waiting for this 🙌
So interesting and one of the best episodes! Thank you so much for your good work Chris!
This deep dives are my favorite episodes!!!
One of my favorite episodes. I find myself relating quite a bit to Capricorn despite having only my south node, my IC, and BML in Capricorn. It must be my Saturn in Libra in the first house conjunct my AC.
I enjoy all of the episodes, but I've been waiting for this for a long time. I loved all of the Saturnian discussion as I have 5 placements in Capricorn and 3 in Aquarius.
Namaste, Chris and ladies. amazing work all 3 of you, the insights and expressions on a new modern level. Capricorn my 2house. I listen to each word, Thank you again. awaiting the next.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for this, Cap Sun Mercury Venus and MC here, I love astrology because it so helps me not to feel out of control as a Cap we can really shoulder the storm, but so good to know that it will pass….however Pluto has made it an f’ing long storm, and this year I enter my Second Saturn return. My first return was so brutal I am genuinely scared of this one but trying not to be 😬
FINALLY!!! As someone with a north node in Capricorn, I've been waiting for this!!!
Been waiting so long for this one !!!
WOW!! I stumbled upon your show, this is fantastic, an entire show about ME!! You had me at finally coming up with the funds and talked yourself into buying the tickets for Hamilton because you love your mother so much, love it!
The three of you have a tremendous chemistry. Dive deep for 30 minutes into any topic once a week at the same time and I will be your #1 fan.. Thank you!
Great work with the sound 👍
Thank you all, this was such a great episode, one of the best! I never expected to laugh so much with all that Capricornian energy on show 😂🤣
Really enjoying these series, thank you. Love the guests and discussions, and Capricorn suns.
Thank you for the great discussion! Found myself nodding along and saying "YES!" throughout.
Such a great video articulated clearly on complex concepts - thank you team :) I resonated with a lot of the Capricornian keywords and you've helped me understand myself even more deeply (for example why my Venus Sagi/intuitive, wild, free and heart-driven voice conflicts with my Sun and stellium in Capi at times)!
amazing thank you, so excited to see the rest of the series
Been waiting for this episode! I have sun, moon, mercury, Lilith, south node and MC in this beautiful sign that has taught me so much about myself! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Very insightful, thank you
This is an excellent discussion by each of the speakers, who are wonderful examples of masters of astrological understanding. Bravo!
WOW! What a brilliant discussion! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Art is 99 percent perspiration, and one percent inspiration!
Such beautiful imagery in the poetic expression you three have created together. Thank you for deepening my awareness of Capricorn!
Thank you for another insightful video!! I'm Cap sun and this really hit home on so many things. Down to the old soul familial responsibilities as a kid, and even aging backwards! People thought I was 18 or older when I was 12, and now mid 30s and people think I'm younger. Astrology is amazing and blows my mind 🤯
You rock, Chris. Thank u for all the awesome content
Was a great episode, especially to hear Madeline talk about Honeycomb almanac.
HAPPY 😊 CAPPI ☀️🌞HERE. CAPRICORN ♑ NATION GANG 😎GANG. MY SOLAR RETURN WAS YESTERDAY 1/12 76.. Gemini ♊ MARS ♂ and 12th 🏘
Absolutely beautiful and very very informative podcast. Thanks to all of you. Those two lovely Capricorn ladies were superb Chris. Thanks for brining them and you hosting this podcast. 💖💖✨️✨️
I’ve been waiting for this for so long
The examples of Capricorn frugality are spot on. Chris, I would love it if you decide to do the houses (you mentioned at the end).
Brilliant conversation!
These zodiac sign podcasts are great. One on the house would be a great idea too!:)
SOOO good the best episode up to date "to my opinion"👏🙏❤
This series on astrological signs is very good. I love it. I also have Mars in Capricorne in the 1st whole sign house and I can strongly feel my Capricorne side. Plus, my Saturn is also exalted in Libra, forming a beautiful exalted square with my Mars.
Thank you Chris, Diana and Madeline for this episode.
Wow what an amazing deep dive into Capricorn ! Thank you for this
This was my favorite episode of the series and I don't have any placements in Capricorn. I do, however, have Saturn in Virgo in the 10th as my only angular planet, so this episode was amazing to listen to. Also the descriptions of all the signs and how they may differ from Saturn/Capricorn helped me understand my chart more in relation to the houses each sign occupies. Everything was so sharp and on point!
@49:53 haha. People either love or hate this about me. My mom is a Libra and she hates how critical I am of everything. She sees it as negativity and a Debby downer. My boyfriend is a Gemini and he loves that quality about me, which is lucky to me. He thinks it’s hilarious and he genuinely respects my perspectives. Everywhere we go, I’m like “that could be changed to this so it’s more efficient” “they should have put this in here with this so it would taste better” “the architecture could be better built in this way so that this place was more efficient” etc… I’m always noticing and pointing out how things could improve or become more efficient. I’ve started to realize recently that I should find a career path that allows me to do this. I’m a natural at it!
Definitely!
me too ! - fellow " Cappie " always finding ways tgo improve upon things !!!😃😉
I’ve noticed Capricorn are able to restrict or deprive or constraint themselves to the bare minimum for prolonged period of time if necessary in order to achieve what they want.
Love this series! Maybe the next series you could go in depth on the twelve houses?!
Still have an hour to go but I'm loving it so far and excited for the rest. You guys are so wholesome with the Santa thing. I learned a lot from this talk, thank you.
Awesome episode. Honestly excited for the Aquarius episode as a Saturn Aquarius.
Saame. I have my sun and Saturn in aquarius
There is soooo much good insights of Capricorn ♑️ ! Fantastic
I absolutely loved this episode!! And i would love to see the Houses series!!!!
anyone else observe the cappy/saturn symbols in Madeline's background? ie. the hour glass (father time) and the picture of the skull (bones) Aqua rising here with Saturn in Pisces. Thank you for this deep dive
Good catch!
I noticed the hourglass right away! Cap stellium 9th house - Sun,Mercury,Jupiter and Saturn, plus MC 🪐
This has been my favorite episode, so charmed by Diana and Madeline. Def not because I have a Capricorn stellium on my descendant ;)
Love this episode. So good!!! I think it’s my favorite and the only Capricorn placement I have is the MC with Saturn in Gemini in the 3rd ^_^
I also waited till Hamilton was “free” (on Disney+) to watch it and was blown away. Not only is Hamilton himself a cap stellium, but Lin Manuel Miranda is a cap sun, moon and mercury! As a cap new moon baby myself (+ 4 other planets), I felt so seen.
Also lovely episode!! Resonated so much.
Thanks for letting us know about the astro almanacs by Honeycomb. I just checked them out and they look fantastic. I ordered mine and look forward to using it!
I watched this early and will watch again. I have 6 Capricorn placements in my 6th house also part of the Neptune Uranus Saturn generation and this is an amazing episode.
I have been searching for the words to conceptualize saturn in 8th house Leo for years. This was the perfect explanation, thank you.
i feel so seen 😩 i loved this episode! & such great representatives for the goats 🙏🏽🐐
Thank you for the podcast! I wish you added some time stamps to your older zodiac videos, like cancer 🥺
Beautiful talk ❤
Capricorn moon and my late father was a Capricorn sun sign, we didn't get on until later in his life, just like before he passed away, so this will be interesting. He worked hard, played hard and died hard, he was extremely hard working and never gave up, very courageous, witty, dry, sarcastic...and into everything!
Been waiting. ❤️
Fabulous ep, your guests are delightful Chris, smart, & so funny! Caps don’t get enough credit for their wry dry humour.

I’ve never heard my relationship with my father (Leo ♌️, Jupiter in Sagittarius) and myself expressed so succinctly.
Haha, this episode on Capricorn took me the longest to get through and there was so much valuable knowledge . One of my sisters is a Cap Sun. just thinking about that placement in relation to the rest of the family provided many insights. And I agree re the Honeycomb Collective almanac. My favorite artist in that group is Maya N., and this is the third almanac I’ve purchased. My partner has given a couple to his friends. Even if they can’t read it themselves, it makes for a very impressive and a gift that’s not not too expensive for everything that can be included.
I have Capricorn Rising and I feel like everything mentioned tracks with how I perceive things. Thank you for the in-depth examples and metaphors relating to Capricorns.
Thanks Chris, you are the biggest and the most formal source of Western Astrology content in the world on UA-cam. It is time for astrology to be treated and regarded with respect, seriousness, and consideration just like any other academic field. I firmly dislike the common notion that astrology is only for entertainment purposes rather than for educational means.
My Capricorn friends love and stepmom made me such a stronger person! Love the earthiness 🌎
as a Gem with Cap rising & Sat in Libra really appreciate one of the best podcasts, great duo, so humorous
As a Cap rising I have been waiting for this one, thank you ❤
Been waiting for this and it’s finally here!!!
Sun (1st decan), Mercury, IC and Mars in Capricorn 4th house. This and Libra (rising) are my stellium houses.
I'm CAPRICORN my husband was a Cancer. My husband was the nurture of our kids. YA'LL are so on point. I'm was loving mom and still is..long marriage 45 before he passed ❤❤❤❤
Your a legend Chris!!
I love the comradorey of your knowledged group. And the information is interesting and fun.
As a Capp rising with Saturn in 10 th house of Libra ( with Pluto and mars there), I can relate to so many things. Alo South node in capricorn and North node in cancer... understand thi splacement so much better now. I am a sgg moon too, so it was intresting to listen to those comparisments between sagg and capp. This was an excellent show, as any other. So much to learn from you. you are all gems. I love the flow of associations between the ladies. :-) Thank you! Just full of golden nuggets as usual!💕
