Got one of these a week ago and love it, like you I have a beard and glasses but they aren't a problem anymore. It was about 2 degrees C when I used it while cleaning up a pile of pallet wood with the angle grinder and flap disc. This always generates lots if fine dust but none got through to.me. How did I know, blew my nose of a white sheet of kitchen role, no sign of dust at all thumbs up from me :-)

Thank you Jordy we need as much information on staying safe and productive as we can get...
The Trend looks like it fits the bill for the time being...
I'm on my way out now for some protective gear..I do have the filtered mask coming but I do need a face shield...maybe one day I'll invest in something like your mask...I do need to figure out a dust collection system if I'm going to carve all winter...so I'll look at shop vacs and peg board while I'm out...
Your spirit is marvelous...nothing wrong with it..I've said before..even folks..real folks..don't have equal or symmetrical faces...he's wonderful...
    Thanks again professor...👍😉...🌿🌿🌿

Thanks for the review Jordy. I remember you having the same dust problem in your sinuses so I really hope that mask works out for you. The amount of sawdust you must create in a year would be astronomical. Stay well and stay safe bud, cheers Gus

Good review Jordy. With you carving so much in western red cedar that type of mask is definitely a must have. I worked with it for pretty near twenty years before I found it was in the top list of Cancer causing woods of the world. Keep safe man and Carve On.👌

Wow I knew cedar was hard on me and my COPS but, I didn't know it was a cancer causing wood carcinogen 😳🇺🇸 thanks for the Intel.

Thanks for the review. I definitely need to do something about how much dust I’m taking in. I use n95 masks but still get a bunch of dust by after Dremel carving.. I like how the mask didn’t fog up much. I need to sell I bunch of trees and upgrade. Cary on, Cary on👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great review and thanks for helping me make my mask decision. I too have developed a sinus and cough caused from dust although I always use a mask of some sorts. I am now considering one of these.

Thank goodness you got a decent mask Worst thing to stuff your lungs up and end up with oxygen tanks All that wood dust we can see in the video flying around would end up in your lungs Worth every cent Jordy PS Your spirits are amazing 🥰

Good review 👍, dust and debris whilst carving is such a pain. Many times even using the masks I've been coughing up dust. I guess the only answer for me is to keep the carving until the better weather and do it outside.

I have the The APF10 Evolution mask from Axminster tools in the uk, had it a year now great bit of kit £235 currently, its the same as this mask with rechargeable battery and filters. It will steam up very slightly in winter outdoors but you can still see no problem. No dust on my glasses inside the mask so it must be working well.

Thanks, I agree that everyone should have a PAPR. My company has been at work on a PAPR with an all in one design monocoque manifold. Our aim is a PAPR that's more accessible to the DIY crowd. When we have certification, would you be willing to give it a try to compare? Its called MicroClimate Air3.

Definitely considering this. Gotta save my pennies though😅. So is this face shield( the clear part) replaceable, so I could just replace that part if it gets scratched too much? Is the face mask also rated for using with an angle grinder?
I want the great respirator, but I'm also looking for proper safety equipment with impact face shield, etc. Do any ear muff type protectors work with it? Just wondering as I have a pair already.
I'm pretty excited for my first jaw horse to arrive this week. Looking forward to a spring and summer of learning to use my chainsaw and angle grinder and die grinder with carving the bigger carves. Thanks for all the videos,Jordy, and all the inspiration.✨🙏✨👍😊

Resp-O-Rator is designed for people with beards and is very inexpensive. It`s like a snorkel with a nose clip. I`m sure this works better but costs a lot more.

Quick question with the big chainsaw carvings or even the smaller dremel wood spirits do you put on a varnish or sealant or leave them natural? and if so what do you suggest? thanks in advance
