What do they say…a bad day fishin is better than a good day workin. That’s about how it was for me a week ago up on the Kings. Lots of little brookies 😁👍
I miss my Furgus! Had I known he was I’ll ( he died so suddenly , at 14!) I would have fed him cheese, but he lived carrots, and would have spoiled him more! Savor your days with beautiful Daisy. 🦴
Jason, I’m really loving your latest approach to overlanding. It has been my biggest complaint that my groups are really good at setting up and breaking camp and seeing what’s around them from behind a windshield. I feel that when you don’t take the time to spend in your surroundings, you appreciate less things like the moisture to reduce wildfires. Or the brown trout and how fun and beautiful they are.
Reminds me if a place I like to fish. I like to grind the barbs off the hooks ( since I throw many of them back) so their mouths do get damaged and its easier to get out of snags. Its more difficult to catch one and challenging to keep them hooked. Noticed at 11:48 in the video you said you use barbless hooks. Your the man! Thats awesome. Daisey is cute as ever.
Good morning! I don't usually make comment because I kind of feel that your vids are your expression of your art and would consider it offensive to do that. But I would like to express why I love your small creek vids. I cut my teeth on your vids many moons ago with Wheeler and Daisy on the Metoleus River. It's like letting that creek flow over my body washing away all the BS that this society has become. Your angles, your simplicity of scenes, your love of your dogs! It just fits my soul. There are a couple of other vogs that reach to that but not many. Thank you for your impact on me!
Your Vidos are so pristine, and the narrating is the best and the camera work is so Amazing thank you I have been watching you for years all I can say is thank you for all content
100 plus degrees where I was today,; the serenity, solace & lovely stream soothed my hot body & I cooled as "you" waded in the water; I'm happy you got to spend a private day in a quiet place in the woods and in the wonder of the wilds. I wondered if a private John Muir was going to be channelled & appear around one of those lovely stream corners. The woods though, on their own, offered enough iconic glow to make it a most wonderful day for you.
MY Zen Place Near Creeks,Lakes & Oceans With Feet Dipped In ,So Thinking About This Lifestyle & Seeing What I Think .Thank You Thank You For A Another Calming & Peaceful Video 🍃🌾❤🍃🌾❤
I may have mentioned this in the past.. My father's name was Wheeler and his mother, my grandmother, was Daisy. I currently have an English Cream Golden Retriever.. "Caesar". my second.. the first was Romeo. What a beautiful, relaxing spot. Excellent video.
Fishing small creeks brings me back to my teens. A neighbor and I would ride our bikes over the hill and fish all day in Cowiche Creek north of Yakima. Great memories. Have a great time at the coast. We head over to Winchester Bay in September. Last year we killed the crabs.
So wonderful to see Oregon so green in the mountains. The beaches are beautiful this time of the year. When I was raising my children out there we would go to the coast for vacation at Beverly Beach for a week. Look forward to seeing some coast line's
Hey Jason … is very good; don’t know what it is, maybe the vibe or whatever, but it’s really good. Thanks for sharing and putting that out for everyone to enjoy. Keep it up, man!
Nice to see you relax with Daisy, fishing and just chilling. What kind of lure did you have on your fishing rod ? Love your videos and maybe someday I will meet you out in a trail and have a nice chat over a glass of whiskey. In the meantime, keep it up. You are making our lives better by showing us your adventures and explorations. Good vibes.
That’s the best kind of fishing, even funner (is that a work ? ) more fun (?) with an ultralight fly rod using a dry and wet fly in tandem. Beautiful area.
The simplicity and authenticity of your videos are just great. I find your content therapeutic. I remember fishing for panfish with my grandad along the creek below our county lake’s spillway. Looking back, it wasn’t about fishing.
Wow!! Heaven right there!! That was a beautiful spot. Loads of Yarrow growing there. You should see my backyard, Yarrow galore! Glad you got your line wet, and caught so many fish. Ever fly fish?? A 3 weight would be perfect for those creeks!!! This video reminded me of some cool fishing trips I went on when I lived in CA!!! Thanks for the memories!!! Looking forward to your beach video! Take care. Till next time!
Thank you for this relaxing video. So sweet to see miss Daisy and thank you for not sharing the location. Sadly, as you know there are people out there who would trash it and ruin it for those like us who respect and cherish our public lands. How were the mosquitoes?
Loved this video Jason 👍🏽 Daisy looks so good her color is still there grey has not taken her golden looks. 😊 I guess that fishing just past the time away for ya. After about to small ones I would’ve called it a day at that creek. The area is beautiful tho the foliage is green as can be. The bugs must be happy 😆 love your video hope y’all have a better time where the real fishing is at (the Beech) good luck 🍀 hi 👋 to Megan!
Hello Jason and Daisy. Your video reminded me of that old saw: "The worst day fishing beats the best day working." I can add: all day long and every day! You always find the best spots to show, thank you. Safe travels and we will see you outside on the coast!
Old time river boatman here. I’m not trying to be critical but the knots you tied to secure your awning have much better knots to use. Try a Sheetbend I’ve also heard it called a tent knot. It’s kind of a friction prussic knot that’s adjustable. We tied most of our gear on the boats with truckers hitches which is bomber but also adjustable before cam straps came along. Like your journeys I’m still getting out there and you explain the lure of it well.
Dave I appreciate the advice. The rope I am using is quarter inch nylon its super stiff but it also doesn’t stretch which is why I use it on the awning. A sheet bend is for tying two lengths of rope together so I don’t believe that is applicable. The tent knot would work great with para cord or something more flexible but its not going to work well with stiff nylon. Para-cord stretches too much to work well with the awning. You may not agree with my process but its simple quick to tie and quick to release, its very strong making very effective at keeping my awning in place under high winds. Hopefully that make sense to why I do things the way I do. Jason
There are also fish in the mountain streams? I have to say that the water there is very clear, pollution-free and pure nature, which is much better than the water source of the river in the city. This is also what attracts fish to make their homes in mountain streams. Is Daisy a boy or a girl? Love to see you and Daisy together, you will always be with each other.
I watch your program all the time I know you endorsed a lot of products some expensive some not but I wish you would tell us a little more about that easy stuff like what kind of twine used to do for your set ups for your tents what kind of rope do you prefer into the weather what can a knife Prefer what kind of Leatherman you prefer etc. etc.
Bro, who'd you piss off at Google? Your content has disappeared from my suggestions for over a year. I figured you were taking a break. Oh well, thumbs up, subscribed, and commented so hopefully, i'll get to enjoy your content again:) Thanks for all the content! Cheers!

I love seeing the fishing and camping. It doesn't get any better than fresh lingcod and greenling. Hopefully some fish and chips are in your future.
I haven’t caught either of those two yet but I have caught a couple other species of rock fish and they made for some amazing dinners

Haha, I have been wondering the same thing. I guess they don’t like a guy that encourages folks to get outside
Which Geyser shower did you get, the one where you boil water or the electric heater?
Second, how come you don’t use an insulated cover for the iceco?
The boil water version. It just got in the way and I didn’t see any noticeable difference with it on or off
I am in OR but will have to find things on my own because you can't say (I wouldn't) publicly here... the location.
That is the most satisfying way find things, is when you find them on your own.
❤👍
👍 ✌️
I know you said brown, but did you meen Brook trout?
No I did mean browns but didn’t catch any, maybe if I would have fished a little later into the evening
