Thank you for the walk through. It helped me set up my new printer. I had the same issue wth the black ink as it also spilled when removing the silver seal, its just so tight. Now i have ink all over my hand. Ugh! I just hope that the video showed printing a sample page just to make sure I did everything right. But again, thank you :)
Hi I'm looking to buy either the L365 or the L485. Could you tell me the main difference between the two ? I suppose the 365 doesnt have a SD card slot ? Thanks Ali
The feeds, speeds and inking systems are identical. The L485 adds the card slot and Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint compatibility. Most importantly, is also has a superior control panel which is worth it in itself.
I would go with the HP as its ink is the cheapest and easiest to deal with. For more info consult the comparison report on our Web site wirthconsulting.org.
Hi Terry, How is the print quality? Does print quality compare to that of typical inkjet printers? I am using an HP inkjet that I'm trying to replace due to the cost of the cartridges but am holding out not knowing the quality of black and color prints.
Rahul, depending on your preferences, the PQ of the HP GT series may be somewhat better than that of the Epson L Series. While resolution is comparable, the HP prints have brighter colors.
Terry Wirth thank you Terry. I'm using HP 3540. I do not print photos but print home work sheets for kids most of which are black and white and fee colors. Also they are mostly vector files with less colors in them. Purely for cost purposes, I am considering Epson or any other in tank printers. Any advice?
The WiFi feature turns on automatically and connection is accomplished during the software installation procedure. I believe that there is an Epson utility also installs so that you can connect via WiFi if the printer has previously been installed via USB direct connect.
If you are talking about a service reset program, they are available from several sources, most of them from SEA. Search the web and be careful about what solution you choose for security reasons.
Very good guide. I'm just like 14 and managed to do this thanks to you :D
We are glad that you found the video useful. Good luck with your new printer.

You are welcome and thanks for watching!
Use your utility knife to cut around the foil, an use paper towel to remove the piece that was cut. alot easier than getting your fingers allover ink.
Good point.

Indeed, it takes a lot of time to add ink with no muss. However, since it holds a lot of ink, you should not have to do it very often.
Useful information
Thanks Terry, I appreciate it.
Can I use sticker paper on this?
Hi, how many gr / m2 10x15,13x18 and A4 glossy photo paper are used on the Epson L386 printer?
Which one is better EPSON L385 or HP GT 5820? in terms of print speed and print quality as well as cost of ink bottles.

Rahul, the ink for the HP GT series ink-tank printers is cheaper than that of the Epson L series.
