He didn't even really fight Michael in physical combat, all he did was struggle in a grapple with Michael, who was manhandling Corey. Corey managed at best with his nimble size to trip him on his back, which likely winded Michael on the rock floor.

Honestly I am content with Halloween 1978 and Halloween 2018, imagining that Michael burned up and that was the end of it. Halloween Kills and Ends can be completely forgotten and 2018 is a satisfying conclusion in my mind.

The most confusing thing about Laurie and Corey's interaction. Why would Corey think and why would Allyson be mad at Laurie for "killing" Corey? Wasn't Corey supposed to be meeting Allyson somewhere? It wouldn't dawn in Allyson that Corey is back at her and Laurie's house, dressed in coveralls and a Michael Myers mask laying next to him?? Make it make sense

The problem is not Corey's Character, it was actually a good Idea with the Evil never dies Subject. The problem was that they introduced him at the end where everyone wanted a final Laurie & Michael Story.

Going off of that, DGG focused on Laurie moving on from Michael and encountering a new form of evil in Corey, which is cool - but then they backtrack and have the final fight with zero buildup. Felt obligatory and out of place. Michael seemed like a burden on the story they wanted to tell, and that's not great.

I feel like this was more of an anthology film featuring Michael Myers which is pro and a con all in one. I’m in the mixed category with this one.
Once Cory got killed off, the whole film felt pointless and it seemed they made up this story arc on a fly just to use it as a filler until Michael v. Laurie.
One of the main pros of this was that it has more substance than Kills and a lot less of that corny dialogue.

Michael was this unstoppable, inevitable, dark evil force in this whole timeline, including ‘78 and especially Kills, where he got the shit kicked out of him and ended up obliterating a whole town yet how can he assaulted by Corey and beaten by an old Laurie… kind of confuses me…

The filmmakers can easily tell the marketing team what they want shown and marketed to audience to sell more tickets. They intentionally played it up to be one thing and didn’t deliver. @Nonsensical Productions actually that’s exactly what a majority of us wanted. And according to the marketing that’s what we were supposed to be getting and what they promised. According to previous two installments in this “trilogy” (can’t really call it a trilogy anymore since this last trash heap of a movie has almost zero to do with what they were setting up in the last two). Instead we got the disgusting waste of time that it is. Thankfully I didn’t waste money paying to see it in a theater like I was going to. It doesn’t deserve to make any money whatsoever. The first two installments were great, this was literally the biggest disappointment of my life in terms of film and what they promised through set up and what we actually got. After the first two movies I was excited to see David Gordon Green redo Exorcist. Now? I hope they fire him and get someone else entirely so that isn’t ruined as well. They’ll market that movie as a big battle between the priest and family against the possessed girl, just to shoehorn that Into the last 5 minutes as an afterthought while the rest of the movie is trash and about some other bullshit that the majority of people don’t give a fuck about. Just like they did with this waste of time “Halloween” movie. It’s so hated by so many people that there is actually a petition to have it remade. It won’t happen but that’s how bad this trash is hated.

The biggest issue is that Michael is pretty much nerfed to the ground completely and not a threat, I mean you’re telling me this dude who got beat down by a mob and killed that entire mob now is weak and decaying in a sewer and gets wrestled by a twink for his mask?
Then this whole love story thing with Allison and Corey it was cringe and was lifetime fanfiction injected into a Halloween film. I’m also confused as to why Michael would need corey when in the film it’s been implied that he apparently was killing in the sewers anyway and for some reason he’s still weak. Even though in Halloween kills they said he gets stronger by killing.
The final battle didn’t really feel final at all either since Michael was not even himself anymore so it wasn’t satisfying fight like h20.

I am a huge fan of Halloween. My favorite horror movie is the original Halloween and I liked the 2018 one and Kills was alright. I liked it a little. But I was disappointed with Halloween Ends. This was supposed to be the end of everything. It felt like it was gonna be a big finale between Laurie and Michael finally. But then most of the story was focused on Corey and Allyson. I get the whole "evil never dies" thing and that once Michael is gone, someone else will just take over, but it waited until the end for Laurie vs Michael and it was anticlimactic. Like "oh yeah. Here is the end to Michael and Laurie."

I think the most annoying part about Corey in this movie is the fact that all he had to do was just leave Haddonfield, he's not the first person to commit involuntary manslaughter and he certainly is not going to be the last so maybe if he moved somewhere like New York or Chicago, he probably won't be as scrutinized and probably could live in anonymity. That's an option that not only he could have throughout the entire movie but also an option he could have had within the time frame between the opening and the rest of the film depending on how long his trial had lasted. But instead Corey decides to stay in Haddonfield and there's no good reason as to why he's even still there or at least not a good enough reason to stay.

I haven’t been let down this much by a film since The Last Jedi. This movie had so many writers attached that I can’t believe this is the direction they all decided to take. It just seems like none of the characters developed or were impacted by the events of kills. Michael is still out there and everyone is causally living their lives. Hawkins and the sheriff never did much in the final film to redeem themselves and those that were killed.

I don't think the parading of Michael's body with police presence was out of place. When they tie him to the car someone, possibly a policeman, says "that's not how we do things" or something like that and then the sheriff says "it is now". I believe that seeing how much pain Michael had caused and all the hysteria made the sheriff want the whole town to see Michael be without a doubt put to rest. The damage that had been done by Michael and the fear of the boogeyman outweighed the force of proper protocol, and engaged the emotions so much that the sheriff was just like the townspeople and Laurie and wanted for everyone to see that it's finally over so that healing can begin.

I look at these movies as a Trilogy and an epilogue. 78, 18, kills were the trilogy and Ends was the epilogue. Michael won, he killed all these people and got away. His house was I believe destroyed before "Ends" begins, so basically, Michael is kinda trying to "retire" so to speak. He's hanging out in sewers waiting to die basically. He has no reason to continue, because he can no longer relive his first kill when he was a child. Also, this video answered its own problem with how could Corey over power Michael. Well, he was shot multiple times in the chest, stabbed multiple times, shot gun blast to the hand, pitch forked in the back, curbed stomped on his stairway by lori's daughter, and beaten down by a mob. Oh, not to mention lungs prob destroyed from the fire he was to die in. He's 60+ years old, and not only that, I'm sure he was malnourished from sitting in a sewer for however long. We got his return in 18, and we got his carnage in Kills. Ends was a way of saying Michael may be gone, but evil never dies! Evil always finds a way to come back, in many different forms. Sometimes I even ponder whether Michael wanted to die in this last movie, almost like he's asking for it. He'll kill until he is killed, like a wounded animal. I think he needed to die, and what's better than an entire town so afraid of this guy that they have to drive all over town and prove that he really is in fact dead, and that know one needs to ever look over their shoulder again for Michael Myers. He was just that evil, and that terrifying. And why would a town have to cancel Halloween, Michael comes into your home and kills you, and he rarely ever kills kids. What would cancelling Halloween do to prevent Michael from murdering people. If he wants to kill people he'll do it whether the holiday is canceled or not. Im glad I didn't see an hour long fight to the death between Lori and Michael, like some comic book movie. It would have been too unreal, and repetitive.

I think they tried to portray Corey as being more powerful than the average man by having him kick the door open so powerfully and breaking the glass bottle with just squeezing it with one hand hence why the fights with him and Michael where a bit closer than usual. Also Michael was definitely portrayed as weaker than previously in terms of carrying old injuries that are taking there toll on him.

I don't know. I'm conflicted. Like, on one hand, I enjoyed Halloween Ends and I didn't mind Corey all that much, I thought it was a fun story with potential but I do agree that him killing himself was a stupid move, and on the other hand, I agree with everyone else this should've been focused on Michael and Laurie. Likely the last time they will ever share a movie together and this is how you send off that rivalry? Barely have Michael and Laurie interact with one another and give Corey the spotlight which in the grand scheme was for nothing since he dies, he doesn't take the mantle there isn't a post-credit scene teasing his return there's just nothing.
I'm convinced there was an original script and because of COVID-19, it was rewritten during that time, why? I have no clue must have had too much free time on their hands and decided to get adventurous with the script. At this point we might as well let Michael rest for the foreseeable future, perhaps finally give Halloween its original vision and make it an anthology series with Evil finding a new shape and new ways to manifest, it could still be in the same universe and Michael Myers can still be referenced but for now, he's gone.
At this point, I've no clue what comes next for Halloween. I don't see them creating yet another timeline and ignoring other sequels. So it either gets rebooted from scratch again or maybe they'll let Rob Zombie create that third film, lol.

I was very pleased with the young adult romance vibe the movie went for. So glad Michael was in the movie for about 15 minutes total he's kinda stale as a character. Love how brave they were to make their entire finale about a brand new character and ignore all previous plot lines, how refreshing. I heavily fw how Allyson keeps telling Laurie to chill out about Michael like she has been since the first movie even though both her parents and her boyfriend and her boyfriends best friend all died in the same night by his hand and also how at the same time it seems like Laurie actually doesn't give a fuck about Michael and moved on, the characters and motivations must have been really hard to balance. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie watching Corey get bullied by high school children in the marching band multiple times up until the words "October 31st" popped up on the screen in the last 20 minutes of the movie. It was truly brilliant how they made the entire movie about Corey then had him kill himself right at the end, only for Michael to show up and get killed by Laurie literally 5 minutes later. What a film 10/10. (I have brain damage)

It’s funny I usually have a knack for foreshadowing and predicting how movies will go from slight hints from earlier scenes and I’m sure I’m not the only one to have guessed upon the first shot of the junkyard and the crusher that, that was going to be how Michael was killed and I guess I was half right😂 They had a monumental task of ending this trilogy in finite and pleasing way I think for the most part they pulled that off your never going to please everyone and they definitely went outside the box and did things no other movie has but still left a lot of questions in it’s wake and honestly some of the mysteries of this franchise and behind Michael in particular are just better left unsaid and unexplained. There were some issues and knitpicks some more glaring and ridiculous than others especially the scene where Corey decided he needed the mask we all know it should never have been that easy to just go in their and manhandle Michael meyers and just rip it off his head that was pretty dumb and from the moment of the fake suicide on the ending just felt rushed and pretty underwhelming I expected a more dynamic and drawn out ending especially when it came to the demise of Corey and Michael it would have been so much cooler to see those 2 battle ending with Michael killing Corey for taking his mask instead of ending himself and Michael putting him out of his misery and then go into the final sequence of Laurie v Michael which should have gone on longer and I think his death was again pretty underwhelming he was helpless we all know a couple knives and a fridge aren’t going to hold him down in any other movie at the very least they could have shown him move a hand or something on top of the car and saved his last throat grab for right before Laurie rolls him into the grinder and narrowly missing going in herself it would have kept the suspense higher for longer also what’s the deal with the mask why the hell would she ever save that? 😂 and the fact that some of the best kills of this movie weren’t even by Michael Meyers but by someone wearing his mask? It’s a strange one but far from the worst of the bunch honestly besides the first original 2 and this trilogy the rest are kind of trash in comparison and don’t even get me started on rob zombies ridiculous attempts especially the second one where Michael meyers is literally living an LSD trip and they never got the mask correct again until the 2018 movie IMO #4,5 and H20 where you can see his eyes the whole time like WTF I think I literally laughed the first time I saw them it looked like a knockoff Michael Meyers.😂 all in all I love the inclusion of John carpenters style especially in 2018 and all of the nods to the original including the characters and you have John carpenter doing the soundtracks which were amazing could have been better but also could be a lot worse

If this direction was the consensus they could have introduced Corey as they did, which actually made for a cool open because even without Michael actually in it, watching it you still felt his presence, then SHIFT to the Michael/Laurie stuff with Corey sprinkled in. Do the end of Ends first, and at the midway point shift to Corey as the new shape… the end of the opening credits being a pumpkin with no face… evil changes shape. It works better that way, still underwhelming but not egregiously so.

The movie wasn’t what I expected. I could’ve done without Cory’s character. I was expecting a Brutal showdown between Laurie and The Shape. More focusing on The Shape and more action, kills and screen time for one of the genres most iconic slasher. The first two films in this series were much more consistent to the storyline it has continued from the 1978 version. I was expecting this one to be an absolute showdown between the two legendary characters, Laurie and The Shape. This movie did not do so. I felt it was a disappointment and shouldn’t have been the finale of the franchise. This is not how I expected Halloween to end. As a longtime franchise fan I am not pleased.

My only issue with this movie is that there was really no reason to introduce Corey at all. Besides being a love interest for Lauries granddaughter that was rushed he really served no purpose to the movie especially since they killed him off anyways. I just don't see the reason to introduce him unless the plan was for him to be Michaels successor, they could have done it where the spirit of Michael possesses Corey after he is killed but since this is the last Halloween movie they just killed Corey so introducing him to the movie was pointless.
Also it's understandable why the police were a part of killing Michael and parading him around,the guy terrorized Haddenfield for 40 + years and nobody was able to stop him until now because each time they thought he was dead he just kept coming back so basically in the story sense Michael was so evil that even the police wanted him dead so they just stood back and watched him finally be killed....i believe the real question is why did it take Laurie over 40 years to come up with the idea to squash him? Sorry but after the fourth time of him returning I either would have cremated him or found a way to get him into the crusher

Much of the events that happened in Ends were better suited for the 2018 film. Personally, I enjoyed the character of Corey and I enjoyed Rohan Campbell's performance. But the idea of him being Michael's apprentice would have worked better in the beginning than the end. Also, I agree that Laurie's demeanor in Ends vs. the 2018 film was very backwards. Had they kept the events of Halloween 2 in this timeline, her paranoia in the beginning would have made sense but it just doesn't here. In a way, it's kind of sad that this is the way the writers went because we'll never see Jamie Lee Curtis play Laurie again.

The entire film just didn’t work for me. As a Halloween fan and a big Michael Myers lover this movie disappointed me way more than Halloween Resurrection, but it was interesting how they made that movie nonetheless. This Corey character ended up dying by Michael anyway so it was pretty pointless to even have him as a focus point. Michael Myers barely in a Halloween movie? Michael Myers being weak?? Michael Myers and Laurie barely having a fight??? It’s weird. I understand this is a different timeline but it does not make sense to have Halloween 2018 Michael Myers and Laurie, Halloween Kills Michael Myers Vs the town and no Laurie or Michael Myers confrontation and THEN Halloween Ends which was completely off subject. Halloween 2018 was a nice touch 40 years later for Michael and Laurie, Halloween kills did nothing but live up to the title for me. I was expecting to see a more dangerous Michael Myers and a great battle between him and Laurie, Allyson and Lindsey(who we barely saw) in Halloween Ends. It did not live up to my expectations at all and I felt it was too late to try to make Michael seem human like when we all know throughout ALL the Halloween movies, Michael Myers has always been nothing more than pure evil, the devil of you will..…. I’m so disappointed. I won’t ever watch this again. Waste of money and attention and took forever to even get to the killing. Michael Myers IS HALLOWEEN. Period.

Fun fact Michael Myers has more screen time in Halloween Ends (10 minutes 55 secons) then he does in Halloween 1978 (9 minutes 37 secons). There's not much of a time difference. The problem was Myers was not utilized very well in Halloween Ends. They should have had Cory in Halloween 2018. I did like that they did something new and after a second watch I like Ends much more. There are things I would change but still a solid movie.

I think that the reason Corey could take away the mask from Michael other than him been weak. Is that Corey already gain much of Michael’s powers when they made the eye connection. Evidence is him surviving the two shots from Laurie and him stabbing himself in the neck only to jump at Michael when he tried to take the mask. Also he could vanish just like Michael in the junker and also when Laurie was watching him from the window.

I would have had the first scene take place before 2018 and have Corey released from prison right after Halloween Kills. He would be angry at the town and think Michael was framed.
Instead of being beaten up by a high school band. It would be a motorcycle gang
He then would find Michael dying in the sewer and try to nurse him back to health.
Everything else would be the same except all the killing would be done my Michael.
after witnessing Michael kill the homeless man he realizes he was wrong , but not trusting the police he tries to go after Michael himself,
ending with him helping Laurie take him down.
Instead of throwing him in a trash compacter, they set him on fire in front of Laurie's house. The end.

My honest from a massive fan of Michael Myers.
Yes, I loved the movie, it does bring good story and a different take to story of Michael Myers, but in Halloween ends, it seriously badly portrays The Shape we seen from 2018 and kills. I kinda like the idea how he was slow and weaker from the years that has past, but if anyone think logically from the actual story line that the previous 2 movies, how did Michael Myers stayed Healthy for 40 years? When he can just barely walk off 4 years? 40 years without killing 1 person, then I assume in the 4 years from the night of 2018 to 2022 The Shape hasn’t killed 1 person also?
Like what was said in this video, how can the same killer do what he did on the night of 2018 October 31st, act like how he did in the sewers? In the movie Kills, he killed, (31 was shown on screan) over like 45+ people in 1 night.
I feel like the final ending showdown against Laurie and Michael was amazing, but by the way the entire sequels and the entire movie was set up to that moment, Michael Should have killed Laurie and “disappeared” again leading to giving us another sequel where Michael Myers returns for another Halloween Night that he rampages like he did on the year of 2018 Halloween night.
Unfortunately, the writers made the movies quite realistic, Michael Myers can’t regrow body parts or anything like that as Michael in Halloween ends still has those fingers missing from the shotgun blast that happened on the night of 2018 Halloween… so Michael Myers is 100% dead. That doesn’t make give the ending a bad ending, but a movie that was following the 2018 and kills movie, The Shape, being how it is supposed to be portrayed, Halloween ends badly portrays the character of Michael Myers, only true part that the movie shows of Michael Myers in Halloween ends is after Michael Myers takes and puts his mask back on, and acting like how he did on 2018 Halloween Night..
I do love Halloween Ends as a movie but honestly feels like this movie shouldn’t be canon just because the way it all turned out, the 3rd part to 2018 and Kills needs to be rewritten and remade, Which I don’t think the writers and directors would consider doing so.
I love Halloween Kills way more than any Halloween Movie in the entire franchise, mainly because, it does everything to the character of The Shape perfectly “nothing but evil, isn’t human” Michael Myers is named “The Shape” for a reason because Michael Myers isn’t human to what he can do, and Halloween kills portrayed it 100% right.
In Halloween Ends, What was the real Michael Myers actually doing? When he stalked Corey when he went to Lauries granddaughter? Michael Myers Stalks and kills, he doesn’t stalk and walk away for no reason.
I know I written down mostly negatives about Halloween Ends, but that’s only because, from me, a personal Big Fan of Michael Myers, I gotta be honest, it’s kinda a bad “Halloween sequel to 2018 and to kills” just how Ends story writing resulted for the final cuts. And the story, is a good story but it doesn’t really feel like it links up with the previous 2 movies properly for story purposes. If this was apart of a new version of Michael Myers and timeline all together, Halloween ends is totally an awesome movie 100%.
But no, it’s cannon to movies 2018 and Kills.
But in the end, I seriously appreciate everyone who was involved with the 3 part Halloween movie series. It’s way better than the 2 remakes that was released around 2007 and 2009. (My opinion, those 2 movies almost killed the entire Halloween franchise) .
So even With a bit of a terrible part 3, at least it gave us something for Michael Myers rather than nothing at all!
I love all 3 movies ,, and all 3 is my top 3 favourites out of the entire Halloween Franchise.
And here’s one my positive points about Halloween Ends before I end my comment about my honest opinion about the movie.
Halloween Ends, I love how it explains why and how The Shape didn’t kill the other prisoners from the bus crash, he only kills the innocent ones, anyone who has some evil force within them lives and Michael Myers doesn’t kill, as Corey was let go from not being killed due to this. It also explores more of the satanic Celtic stuff behind Michael Myers, and how this evil takes control and changes the mind of the person. It also explores how Michael Myers is powerful and is extremely durable and sustainable to incredibly injuries, the more Michael Kills the more berserk in power he becomes. As In Halloween Ends, it shows that clearly and how it lead it to him being back to full power after finishing off Corey. So it’s like Michael Myers consumes the souls every time he murders someone. The outfit and mask of Michael Myers also is beautiful. With the short amount of time Michael Myers was shown in the movie, in the previous 2 movies, the character has been shown more than ever in the entire franchise, so despite the short time, The Scenes where the real Myers is in, it’s gold. (Off topic, but Darth Vader doesn’t appear much in episodes of 4,5,6. So I somewhat think it’s unfair saying that a movie is bad due to short screen time of a character… However! Since Halloween in almost every movie, Michael Myers doesn’t deserve the amount he got in ends because Halloween Movies are meant to be a main story around The Shape, not a copycat killer) especially the final battle with Laurie and Myers, it was one of the best scenes in Halloween.
I also enjoyed the way the writers tried to implement the fact Michael Myers evil, can infect other beings Also, as it was slowly turning Corey into Michael Myers but in a different body, and how the Mask of Michael Myers was left on the table in the final scene and how This evil can still infect someone else like it did to Michael Myers and Corey, perhaps giving a non-Michael Myers character in future Halloween movies while still displaying how Michael Myers looks like and how the evil is also drawn to the specific mask.
That’s my good and bad.

Corey's story would have been cool if he was introduced in 2018's film. For a finale, you have to go with the established characters, not introduce a brand new one. Also, as stated in the video and by others, Myers getting bullied by some kid, when he is capable is destroying a literal mob (firefighters and citizens), is stupid. The film was a huge disappointment.
