Just started the channel a few days ago and you’re literally so so good at explaining Arabic! Thank you 😊
bbh see him
Maash'Allah you are by far the best teacher I could ever dreamt of finding on this platform and I can never thank you enough for how much you have helped me through this journey of mine learning this beautiful language hence being able to read the Holy Qur'an. May Allah Azzawajal Rewards you of the highest palaces and houses in Firdawsi.
I discovered your channel like a year ago you basically helped me being able to read Arabic though I struggle a lot sometimes but InshaAllah I want to be fluent and be able to read and understand any Arabic either written or spoken. Unfortunately procrastination and laziness did get the best of me and I stopped I started over today thanks to Allah and please pray for me so I can stay firm and steadfast into learning especially through your videos.
Sorry for being too long but I really wanted to get this off.
thanks to this channel i'm able to follow along with slower Quran recitations so far slowly but surely Alhamdulillah may Allah bless you for helping so many people
In the example في الكتابَ it's not correct grammatically, it has to be في الكتابِ, except of that, the lesson is great, thank you so much, and continue))
The new thing which i learn today is.... Long vowel is always preceded by short vowel...
Fataha and Alif..... Dammah and vaoo.... Kasra and ya
Please keep making the videos ... it is really help full....
And your pronunciation is very good... May Allah give you Ajar
you have to be the best Arabic teacher around Thank you!!!!
Masha Allah keep going barakhallahufeekum ya istad
Thank you! I’m learning Arabic and this helped me understand long vowels much better
Asalamolaykom respected teacher. This lesson was kinda hard for me, so I took a couple days to fully understand it. But Alhumdulila now I'm good. It's taking me a while but Alhumdulila I'm not going to give up baizni'allah ta'ala.
Jazakaallah kheiran
You are amazing. May Allah grant you Jannah
Very informative and interesting video. Jazakallah 😊🇮🇳🇮🇳
Best teacher. MashaAllah 👍👍

Another great video! Thank you for sharing! :)

Jazakallah khair
May Allah bless You Brother abundantly and have mercy upon You.
Thank you!
Thanks 👍👍👍🙏 really helpful
thank you again for this.. surprisingly ilearned fast...
شكرا🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
May allah bless you
You are doing a great job. But there are two errors.
Alif as a long vowel doesn’t have hamzah on its top. Otherwise it will represent hamzatu-qat’e.
The word (الكتاب) you mentioned in the sentence takes kasrah underneath ba instead of fat-hah because it’s preceded by a preposition.
Please if you can correct these two mistakes, that would be great.
الف المد لا تكتب مع همزة
Please if you can remove the hamza
U got new sub
Woow starting bit complicated, but I am still able to follow
You are the best and most important thing teacher😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Is it possible to have a semi-vowel with a preceeding Dammah or Kasrah on the Waw and Ya?
How do you make a long A sound as in the word shake and skate. Eight has a long A sound too.
Veralevel
make more videos bro , must make meaning videos of smal surahs like 30 juz
When reading the Qur'an, I tend to elongate the short vowels some of the time. This video is helping with learning how to keep short vowels short. Is there a further video you can make on short vowels or give some advice on how to keep it short consistently with every letter. Thank you
Establishing a criterion for both long and short is important for consistency ..
This might help you in shaa Allah: ua-cam.com/video/oZ5IjrW555c/v-deo.html&t
❤❤❤❤
question, why is it kataba instead of katab, and also why not write the fatha on the shadda of the word buna
How to do you ‘stop’ on long vowels? What happens to a reverse dhamma, and standing fattah and kasra when we pause or stop? Please explain
Please tell me UA-cam is paying the channel creators money for this. These video's are very beneficial
You put a small hamza on alif in the beginning. Why? As per my understanding, it's not alif anymore when it carries a hamza on top
❤
Dosnt waaw make the w Sound?

👍👍
isnt there a rule that if a sukoon or shaddah follows a long vowel. The long vowel cuts of and isnt a long vowel anymore, because the shaddah and sukoon need to be glued to a fatha damma or kasra?
By the time I have reach the 4th lesson, I have started to read, but still shaky .... I am sure it would get better........ Thank you for
Long vowel alef is just (ا) with out the hamza (ء) on top.. because (أ) is hamza on alef not alef at all !
Thank you for mentioning this note. True, the alif sakina is written without a hamza. I could not share this video with my students because I am afraid it will cause them confusion and they will think that the hamza is a long vowel. I hope that this video will be modified and corrected. I greatly appreciate the effort made in this channel. May Allah reward them .
كلامك صح بس الهمزة و الآف حرف واحد وأنا عربي
Why the semi vowel for wau is w not u in the word lawn?
Always, in every word, must the alef, yaa and waw be precided by a short vowel?
Yes.
Very helpful.. After years of confusing
JazakAllah khair 👏
i wonder why with the book we read al kitaaba and the pictures was read as a-soewar. Is it optional to read the al?
Jazak Allah ghair for the lessons!
Asslamo alikom,
This concept will be explained later in the course as you progress. I will give you the answer already if you want to know now.
It is related to the letter the comes after the الـ which decides if you assimilate it or not. Full explanation with examples here: ua-cam.com/video/iS31xI9JF2k/v-deo.html&t

In the practice sentence, how can you have a shadda without a short vowel on it ? Also the waw does not have any harakat on it ?
just a doubt , so when YA and WOW is there , we will only stretch it when there is a FATHA before it right ?
No, when there is dammah before waw and there is kasrah before yaa.

Hi, I’m wondering why kataba is not pronounced as Katab when there is a sukoon in ba. Thank you for your amazing video! 🙏
Hello there,
In Arabic when you stop at a word, the last short vowel (tashkeel) of the word you're stopping at is dropped, and you are only left with the consonant. so you can see it written like كَتَبَ and you'll hear كَتَبْ ... But in the beginning (which I recommend) we will still pronounce every single short vowel (tashkeel) stopping or not, so that you'll get the hang of it.
But since you asked ;), that was the answer, hope it was helpful.
Arabic 101 Thank you so much for the explanation!
@@Arabic101 uh! The more I try...the worse, the more difficult it gets :/
Nevertheless with.all the examples you offer.... especially connecting the words with their translation to English...I do make some progress.
Painfully slow when compared to learning English and Italian, but...your lessons are very encouraging. .
شكران
I do hope that I have chosen the correct letters to write: Shukran :)
@@Arabic101 this lesson was very difficult for me can you explain it a little bit easier maybe I don’t know when I have to speak long vowels and when shorts
That was a tricky one 😰
استفدت جدا من هذا الفيديو لإدراجه في مشروع الجامعة ومقارنة الصوتيات العربية باللانجليزية ولكن لدي ملاحظة بسيطة .
كتبَ أحمدُ في الكتابِ ( مجرورة وليست منصوبة ، لأنها اسم مجرور )
شكرا جزيلا
Ma sha Allah shejh. May Allah reword you. Can you just explain why is not ketebe Ahmede fil kitabi instead kitabe, because this is harf jer and after thwt is ism mejrur and that ism is not diptot or memnu'u mine serf.
Why are the words كوبا and زيد do not have short vowels preceding the و and ي ? like زُيد and كَوبا? -
Brother is stretching them fardh? Or is it optional?
If you are talking about Quran recitation, then YES .. Stretching long vowels is mandatory, and you may not read the Quran if you don't.

Asslamo alikom
I have a Question, are long vowels 2 Harakat long ?
Yes. If you want to know how long is a harakah, please watch this lesson: ua-cam.com/video/oZ5IjrW555c/v-deo.html
I read "lawwna" instead of "lawwanna" b/c there is no fatha on wow. Am i wrong?
At 5.12 you mentioned" lawwana" not " lawna" but there's no fathha on the shaddha . I said " lawna" please explain. jazakallah Khair
There is indeed a fat'ha on top of the shaddah, but because these lessons are for absolute beginners, I try not to give many things that would otherwise be confusing for someone who's taking their first steps in Arabic, and then step by step information are added, until you have the complete picture. Getting everything in one go, can be frustrating and scary for many learners.
Heheheh
The fathah at the end of الكتابَ is incorrect.
Does pronouncing them like too lomg or too short does it changes the meaning of the Quran?
Plz reply
Yes. When it comes to reciting the Quran, you should follow the tajweed rules .. If you take the courses in the correct order, you will learn that skill in the context of the Quran in shaa Allah at the right time.
Generally, long vowels should be two counts.. or twice as long as short vowels.

JAK for your efforts but Alif is different from hamza
حرف المد ا
الهمزة أ
Barak Allahu feekum.
Indeed, Hamzah and alif are two different letters.
However, for beginners, we metaphorically refer to hamzah as alif to simplify the concept.
As you progress in the course, you will learn the difference when it is relevant to your progress in shaa Allah. Specifically when we start talking about the makharij.

Why does alif carry a hamza if it is an alif

Semi vowels = مد لين
the people who dislike this video are disgraces
May Allah bless you. Please check the videos. Hamzah أ is NOT alif ا, hamzah is a consonant, alif is not, even if the explanation is correct, writing hamzah instead of alif may be confusing to your students.
Thank you very much for your feedback ..
This video is meant for absolute beginners. My method in teaching is to give bits of information one at a time especially for basics of Arabic which is known to have so many different rules and exceptions. So the issue you referred to is explained in later videos that go a bit deeper in detail. In my opinion, learners should get the information they need at the time, not all the information. Otherwise, it might drive people away from learning the language especially in the earliest stages.
May Allah forgive us all .. and please brother/ sister, keep the feedback coming since it opens up nice discussions, and I can certainly learn from it.
Asslamo alikom.

أ و ى
كِتَابْ - كَتَبْ
زَبُونْ - بُنّ
ْسَعِيحْ - سَعِح
What about this vowel ى 😭
He showed it, it comes after fatha, and it is long as alif or waw
Normally it is fii lkitaabi not alkitaaba
أ this is Hamzat qate not Alif
Please correct the mistake
