This is one of the most OPEN levels I've seen in a MODERN Sonic game. It's really astounding how many different paths you can take especially since you can run on water! SEGA please make levels like this again!!
I like how omochao literally says how you take several different paths in act 1 seaside hill is definitely one of my favorite levels to play in generations
Unleashed and Generations had amazing level design, idk wtf Sonic Team were smoking when they made Forces because the levels are just so dull compared to these, and they changed the Hedgehog engine gameplay which compounds the issue even more

This is still to this day, in my honest opinion, the best modern sonic stage period. You have the choice to go whichever path you want to take the entire time

I don’t know how you people prefer this 3 minute glorified Forces stage that’s 2/3 gimmicks and 2D sections while barely paying proper homage to the original stage’s designs. Not to mention how Unleashed has infinitely better pacing that doesn’t interrupt your boosts every 2.4 seconds to have you jump two times just to go right back to boosting. I swear this is where the under 20 year old sonic fans have come to congregate and it’s more painful than watching the over 20s millennial fans bitching about how Sonics best game is apparently still SA2. This is insufferable lol

Ah... Sonic Generations... It was a good game. I don't think Sonic Colors was the one that saved Sonic, more like Sonic Generations, considering how amazing it's level design is and that's what made it so much fun.

This stage just reinforces the fact that Sonic Heroes is in desperate need of a remaster. Just imagine how stages like Final Fortress, Bingo Highway, and Lost Jungle would look with today’s technology.

I believe Sonic's getting more powerful the further his games progress. Take Perfect Chaos as an example. Originally, Super Sonic defeated him but in Generations normal Sonic defeats him just as easily.

... because Seaside Hill isn't from Sonic Dash It just borrowed the stage from Sonic Heroes, which had 3 way split areas because of the 3 playable characters at once as a key mechanic of Heroes

I dont think Sonic needed Tails and Knuckles as a team if he could complete that level all by himself.
