BTS's most respected album is wings, it has to do with Carl Jun's psychology. And it's inspired. The work demian german hesse.
And almost all the discography of bts has a universe which tells you a fictional story, personal life, musical evolution, development towards the maturity of a teenager, politics, social problems, each story is inspired by works, stories. If you find out, from Bts, when you enter you will not want to leave, they are very humble and human they will surprise you with their talents they have a complete artistic career and have a professional career and some of them have a master's degree.

Jimin is the one who sounds like a female at times, his unique voice is one-in-a-trillion. But, actually, about 4 of them can go extremely high lol.

I recommend Outro tear live with English subtitles. It is just the 3 rappers in BTS and since it's in Korean you would not have heard it. Dynamite is only 1 of 3 English songs they have so since it was number 1 on hot 100 and played everywhere on radio you would of heard it. This does not come close to BTS Korean songs which are amazing and sadly will never be played on US radio.
I recommend to not doing this yet!! It's sooo much better to listen to this song when you know/understand why they wrote it!!!!

Im glad you want to find out more about BTS. The three full songs in English , dynamite, Butter, and permission to dance are very poppy. If you want to listen to some thing different try mic drop, On, blood sweat and tears , fire, dope and there are so much more they pretty much cover most genres. I do recommend getting to know them a bit from learning each individual to how they were formed and the struggles they had to go through too become the biggest group in the world , they are not your typical boy band. Anyway I see a lot of recommendations so have fun and I hope you come to appreciate them like millions of us do.

They write, compose, produce, rap, dance even act. They perform solos, sub units, and 7 of them together. Mic Drop, Black Swan, Shadow, House of Cards, More, Run BTS, Singularity, Louder than Bombs, Outro Tear.... all different genres.

You can always look up specific genre playlists to focus more on those songs, besides the ones suggested, I think you'll also love songs like Dionysus, Fake Love Rocking vibe remix, Danger, and especially their rap mixtapes, with the recent being Jhope's album, Jack In the Box, which is more hip hop, R&B, and rock focused. You'll definitely like Arson, More, and What If, and more so live at his Lollapalooza 2022 set. I also suggest checking out good BTS introductions to know more about their skill sets. Airplane part 2 is different, Am I Wrong, On-Kinetic Manifesto film, Fire, Film Out, Stay Gold. They also have some fantastic solo songs like Jimin’s Lie or V’s Singularity or JK’s Euphoria and Suga’s Daechwita. Always try to watch original mv with subtitles on as their mv are always excellent. Just play full mv to not have copyright problems. After watching a few videos you’ll want to check out some of the introductions to learn more about them as they have a great underdog story. ❤️😀
Watch Fake Love. You’ll need subtitles as it’s mostly Korean. It’s the best first or second listen in my opinion.

BTS is gold. I can't explain their full appeal, but they are everything you expect and so much more. Their music is very human, you get everything from cringe to wholesome moments, from average to exceptional. Their music as them too is not perfect in any way, but really endearing and fascinating. Their whole musical journey and their growth as people are so interconnected you simply can't separate them when you follow them every day for years and years it is all reflected in the music. They are very autobiographical without being literal about it and I love it most. Cause you can see links in the song to them as a group and people but also a song by itself can be a song in general about something and mean different things to many people and still at the same time be about BTS in your mind, so in some way, their songs are about all of us going through life. I hope you gonna go in with an open heart, cause you need to listen to their music not only with your ears but with your heart too. Then you able to find BTS kind of magic, you didn't realize you actually desperately needed in your life.

When dynamite was released it was HUGE! They released this song during the pandemic to lift up the spirits of everyone in isolation but they didn't realize how big the song would be, it hit number 1 on billboard HOT 100 for 9 weeks (correct me if I'm wrong!) The song was played everywhere on tv to the radio so you definitely heard it a lot XD Dynamite was also one of the few songs BTS did not write or produce themselves, however most of their discography is written by them or produced in some way. I recommend listening to Mic Drop, a song they dedicated to their haters and inspired by President Obama's mic drop during one of his speeches ;)
it was 2 weeks as far as i know butter had 10 weeks total
Dynamite is about #350 on Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. after he sees Butter mv, then he should watch the recent Grammy performance which Rolling Stone named the #13th Greatest Grammy Performance of All Time (out of 25). The three all-English songs don't really represent the heart of BTS' genius tho.
J-Hope (one of the rappers) headlined Lollapalooza a few days ago - definitely worth a watch!!

These are only a couple that are completely rap. Most of there songs have rap verses since there is three rappers. There are only 3 fully English songs (Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to dance) Most of there songs are Korean mixed with English, but they do have Japanese songs as well. They also have songs in many different genres. I can’t wait for your next BTS reaction!!

If you like rap and hip hop you will love some of their Korean songs: Mic drop with all 7, and a special treat from the rap line alone: look for a live performance of “Tear”. You’ll be 🤯 To be fair you could also react to a song with the 4 vocals, a jazzy song perhaps? The live performance of House of Cards will also make you go 🤯 The recent English songs are very pop because that was the strategy they used to go big in the USA, but it doesn’t reflect their discography, even though they are fantastic pop songs.

BTS' music is insanely versatile. Pop, rock, jazz vibes, latin pop, hip-hop, rap (ohhhh the Cypher Medley live is chef's kiss 10 out of 10 would recommend), EDM, ballads, neo-soul... You name it, they have it. So it really just depends on your mood and taste to find something good. 😁 As they said, Mic Drop is a good starting point, it has an MV with subtitles. And the Festa BTS Room Live. Only snippets but good mix of their older and newer songs.

First there's Intro to the Bangtan 7 by Taylor Nakamoto, it gives a brief history of the group and an in depth look at each member. Then there is The Most Beautiful Life Goes On 2022 Update by Rice Squad, it gives a breif intro to each member and an un depth history of the group. And finally Introduction to BTS by Xceleste. As a rapper you will probably enjoy J-Hope, RM, and Suga (aka AgustD) the most. From what I’ve heard, they are “old school” rap meaning 90’s?. J-Hope just released “MORE” as part of his solo album. Suga’s “Daechwita” MV is amazing. RM’s softer raps like “Forever Rain” are a pleasure. A great mix of rap with the vocals is “Pied Piper” (live performances are available). If you want to know what they are saying check out any of the Lyric Videos which will give you a good idea of what they are communicating - Korean idioms are as complex as English idioms.
Before the pandemic they were strictly Korean songs which SOP includes a mix of some English. With the pandemic they released American composed Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance.
They began as a hip-hop group so almost all of their songs include rap. Which is SOP for K-Pop in general but I think they do it better then most because RM and Suga were underground rappers before they joined the agency.
Welcome to BTS! You really should react to "Mic Drop" Steve Aoki Remix. It's a smack down to their haters who have tried to take them down since their debut in 2013 and continue to do so. The 3 rappers and 4 vocalists are ALL mega talented. Not all songs are all in English like this Grammy nominated song. You will absolutely need the English CC on since lyrics are SO VERY important to their music! There are a lot of deep themes that address many social issues. Enjoy your journey down the immense BTS rabbit hole!

Oooh, I'm excited to see a reaction to some of their other songs. They have low-end vocals in the rappers (RM and Suga in particular) and when it comes to vocal lows, they have V, who is a baritone singer.
Anyway, since you're a rapper, I think you would appreciate songs like Mic Drop, Fire or maybe ON. They have song that are pure rap, but that's not all of the members, so I would maybe leave that for later. But also, since you mentioned the vocals, I would recommend the Tiny Desk performance. They start it of with Dynamite so you'd hear the song live and then they sing two other songs that are in Korean.
If you do listen to the Korean songs, I highly recommend to pay attention to the lyrics. One of the reasons why they're so popular is their lyrics. They started off as a hip-hop group, so lyrics are very important to them. Their English songs don't really reflect that much, because aside from the rap parts in Butter, the English songs' lyrics were written by other people and while BTS were able to change stuff a bit, they wouldn't really go into anything deep on them. Plus the songs were really just meant to cheer people up during the pandemic and were kind of released outside of their usual discography.
If you want to learn more in general and maybe go from there, there are also videos that will introduce the members to you and how the group started. I'd recommend A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor. It might give you a bit of an insight into why their fans are so dedicated, because it's much more than it might seem to an outsider.

They aren't bilingual, only the leader RM is fluent in English. The one who can go higher and "sounded like a girl" is Jimin, his voice is very unique. And yes, there are members who have a lower voice, in particular V is known for his baritone voice. Dynamite is one of their three English songs, which were made mainly to connect with their international fans during the pandemic. Even though these songs brought happiness to the fans during the pandemic and helped BTS to become somewhat known by the general public in the US, those songs don't fully represent the band. Third, 4 singers (Jungkook or Jk, pronounced "yonguk", main vocal, Jimin(tenor), V(baritone), Jin(tenor) all have their own musical styles and their vocal quality is superb, they also have solo songs Fourth, they not only sing pop songs like Dinamita or Mantequilla, they also have songs with styles of Jazz, soul, R and B, funk, etc. Thank you for listening to them and appreciating their talent... last but not least, they write, compose and produce their music, not in its entirety but they participate in everything... and they have many spectacular choreographies... About Dynamite they literally decided to do this song on a whim in the middle of the pandemic because they wanted to cheer people up in such hard times ^^ They're very hardworking, and have spent their careers writing songs about all kinds of things, like all kinds of different kinds of love (they are very adamant about promoting self love) , heartbreak, societal issues, mental health, following your dreams, helping others, and just a lot of cool stuff that's important to them, and things a lot of people are afraid to touch on, that they will dive head first into. They're also all very down to earth, and very funny. ^^ Dynamite was actually BTS's first full Eng song! Now they have 3 in all. Butter and Permission to Dance. Dynamite got them their 1st Billboard #1! Now they have had more than 3 of them. 😅 Kings! Dynamite was written by 2 USA songwriters. And they liked it and sung it in Eng because they loved that version more. Dynamite was created to give Army some energy during the pandemic. BTS is all about that positive energy. They love Bruno Mars actually. And many bands are doing what he is.

This is one of their mainstream, all-English language songs (theres also Butter and Permission to Dance). They released this one during the pandemic to spread cheer and positivity to the fans (we're called ARMY) and the world. But recently we just learned that behind the making of this song they were actually struggling as well, like at one point they feel lost and didnt know what direction to take as a group. Right now they are taking a break as a group and are pursuing solo projects, and will hold a free concert in Busan (one of the big cities in South Korea) as a bid to host the World Expo 2030. Love your reaction to this, you say whats on your mind, im sure you'll be reacting to a lot of their songs and im looking forward to that!

Cool that you're giving BTS a chance, it's worth sticking around. There are layers after layers of suprises waiting for you because BTS are often misrepresented.
A BTS member called j-hope, just had a big big big big big show at Lollapalooza. He was the first korean to ever headline any american festival, and it was also his first solo show. He's a rapper and his latest release has been very grunge. I truely recommend you check out the show. The crowd was insane, 100.000 people showed up and most were there for j-hope!!! Even the organizers who knew what to expect were shocked by the show.

BTS continue to write and perform as a group, but are also branching out and doing solo projects and performances. Truely a collective of very talented artists. Their respect and love for eachother is what keeps them going. Member Jimin flew from Korea to Chicago and sticked by j-hope's side throughout preparations for the show. Brothers by heart and by art.

Dynamite was released by BTS as a feel-good, easy going just happy vibes track in 2020 in order to bring some joy and happiness back into people's lives during the pandemic. It does have a happy pop vibe because that is the intent. BTS however explore a lot of amazing genres in their music from RnB, Hip Hop, Rap, Ballards etc. BTS has some really deep and meaningful songs so I hope you check out more of their discography. :)
To hear the ranges of vocals, their cover of Coldplay's Fix You is great, because you hear the rappers sing.
Dynamite is not typical for them - they actually put out feelers for a light pop tune, cos they like - we don't write stuff like that - haha. But they wanted something less heavy, hoping to project some cheer during the pandemic - it came out in August 2020. Their other "pandemic" tunes were Butter (member RM did some writing on that one) and Permission to Dance, an Ed Sheeran song. As an example of how passionate they are about spreading love and inclusion, the choreo in PTD used International Sign Language that relay the message of the chorus.😍

BTS has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted June 13, 2013 and just had their 9 year anniversary. That said, some of them were together since around 2010 as it took 3 years to form the group and go through training. They are involved in writing and producing most of their songs. The 3 all-English songs (Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance) were pandemic era and meant to be feel good, get up and move type songs. However, most of their songs/raps have deeper, more meaningful lyrics and themes. Most are in Korean or Korean/English and some are all Japanese. When you watch their MV's, please make sure Closed Captions, English is turned on so you can understand their songs. I recommend MicDrop, ON Kinetic Manifesto Film, Black Swan to start. These 3 are all very different from each other, but will give you a taste of the diversity of the group.

The guy who goes reeeal high is Jimin! He's my bias precisely because of his voice, lol. The ones with the lower registers would be the rap line in general (J-hope, Namjoon and Yoongi) and Taehyung. He's the only one in the vocal line who's not a tenor, being a baritone.
