  • So far this truck has had an easy life with me whether driving empty or light loads but as you all know that’s not the case with my trucks so let’s put it to work!

    I'm 100% with you on all of your comments about the trucks, we have many Dodges, and many Fords, when it comes to slowing down and stopping, the Dodges are awesome, the Fords have great power, but when it comes to stopping with a load, there is no comparison to the Dodges, I prefer to run loads with the Dodges because of that reason as well. Great videos bud, keep up the great work!! Lol 👍

    Love the new exhaust tip on the ford, wink wink. Similar to my dog, neutered. Lol. Waiting to see how that works. Glad the rams are gaining your approval, they have big shoes to fill.

    I guess the flipped up mirrors on the Dodge give it more horsepower just like the wing tips on a jet increase the fuel economy. 🤔😏😉

    I leveled my '21 2500(1" Thuren spring) and left the rear air bags alone, no issues with auto leveling loaded/unloaded. To my knowledge, with just a small front level you don't need to mess with the air bags

    Torque converter 2nd gear is to close to the shift point of 3rd make it rave 2500 to 2700 rpm before going on 3rd thats what i do and you can fell torque converter kick in it like a nother gear in between 2 and 3 well feels like it lol and you can see rpm drop when the torque converter kick in that what i do here in the north n.b. and highway i leave it on 5th gear no log, power ready on demande and less shifting and i found that 6th to 5th she hits hard like something will break when towing 12500 pounds so i stay in 5th 👍

    You should take the 550 and cut the ball out and put a b&w turn over so you can run the diamond c on both

    Dont waste moeny in the truck. Leave it stock, get use out if it, take csre of it. Another year or two youll trade, etc. And loose the money in "upgrades"

    Tow the sany sy95 with the ram 3500 srw. I towed it with my 22 f350 srw, abiut 50/50 split with my f450. Did the same engine wise, and basically the same stability wise. Obviously the f450 was slightly more stable. But I would tow with the f350 all day long.

    Definitely time for Ram to add some gears to their Tranny’s. They’d be near perfect towing then imo.

    I realize I'm probably going to get opinions based mostly on fan boys of the different brands. But i have been casually shopping for a diesel truck now for a while. I don't have all that much personal experience with diesel pickups other than some friends, but i have driven semi trucks for a little over a decade. I'm trying to decide between RAM and Ford. Probably a 3500 single wheel and the truck will mostly be used as a personal vehicle and hauling just a fairly light trailer most of the time. Except for a big toy hauler a few times a year.
    If i was hauling heavy more often than a few times a year I'd most likely go with the ram just for the engine/exhaust brake as in my experience driving semi it is a lot more useful than saving a few seconds climbing the hill and also saves a lot of wear & tear. But as i won't be hauling heavy the majority of the time I'm wondering if the ten speed in the Ford would be better for fuel consumption or does the straight 6 in the Cummins make up the difference? Also is one brand more prone to emission system failures over the other, or are they fairly similar?Thanks in advance.

      The new fords are typically better on fuel that the 5th gen rams. The 4th gens were better on fuel. The ford is smoother, more room in the cab . The current 5th gen rams are having a few issues which is why I went with a 4th gen. Just my personal opinion. For towing I like the ram

    Are there settings on the truck's computer that can change the way it shifts ? I hear people talking about things like that all the time. I've seen them hook up a laptop and then make tune-up changes to get the best performance. I'd tell you how to do it but that's way above my pay grade.

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  Рік тому +2

      Yeah you can tune them with a flash or just manually shift
