    The most important thing in America should be educating its people rather than defense spending. Democracy fails without a well informed population. Yet we are not number one in that particular area. That's what politicians should be focusing on. But I suppose they get paid by financial institutions to keep American citizens dumb.
    Going to Iraq? Was it a sham? After the terrorist attack, if one were to ask who caused it, it would be a terrorist organization and yet we declared a war against a whole country. Like punishing all citizens of a city, for what a group of teenagers did. There is no sense in that.
    Yet Americans were easily manipulated into a war that benefited who? Oil corporations. I would assume there are other ways to defend the USA than declare a war on a whole country with the majority of such country being innocent civilians :/ Like for example, investing in education so that critical thinking would be a skill of every American, so that Americans don't get dragged into silly situations (like wars, environmental disasters, etc) by corrupt politicians.
    Wake up people!

      Very well said. I would only add on to your question of who did it after a terrorist attack like 911 in America that you have to at this point at least look at inside sources from America's intelligence and defense institutions as being a plausible cause instead of only looking at terrorist organizations outside the country.

    How is your nearly 6 trillion dollar defense budget "creating a threat to national security" when Russia (Who are so terrifying) barely manage to pay their government employees in the outer provinces, and who spend ~60 billion dollars on their military? Do you have any Idea of the relations between those two figures?

      Let's not be naive buddy, I guess you're referring to his association with Halliburton when you say he profited from the Iraq war ! Firstly, when he became vice president he had to sell his stock in Halliburton. So do you think Halliburton was in Iraq alone ? What about Caterpillar Inc, yes Caterpillar makes military equipment, What about KBR, Schlumberger, I could go on all day. So let's not be naive, I presume you're Scottish with that surname. Do you think that the British military complex was absent in Iraq? What about the military contractors from all over Europe that were in Iraq. So according to your assumptions ordinary stock holders from Halliburton etc. are also complicit in the Iraq war? I own Caterpillar stock, Halliburton, KBR, Schlumberger, I also have stock in various military complex companies, so did we profit via dividend income from the Iraq war? Yes we did, that doesn't make us responsible. It's called business, conscience is nice but business is business and that's the bottom line.

      @lieshtmeiser5542 Рік тому

      "...his obvious knowledge of an order to not bring down whatever struck the pentagon?"
      How is it obvious?
      wiki: "NEADS officials urgently ordered the fighters from Langley to be sent to Washington immediately, but the plane struck the Pentagon at 09:37:46. The Langley fighters were still 150 miles away"
      Articles clearly demonstrate that Cheney obtained authority from Bush to shoot down hijacked aircraft and issued that order several times, the problem was failings between the various authorities. They had to be on their toes, because the terrorists were cutting off transponders shortly after hijack, making it a bit harder to know where the aircraft were heading etc.
      In the same wiki article:
      "Staff members and some commissioners thought that e-mails and other evidence provided enough probable cause to believe that military and aviation officials violated the law by making false statements to Congress and to the commission, hoping to hide the bungled response to the hijackings, these sources said."
      In Australia just recently, a private health insurance company had high level credentials stolen and sold to hackers, and the company didnt know anything was wrong until the ransom demand was received. The bad guys get through sometimes, whats sad in the case of the air force and aviation authority is that they would dishonor the memory of the people that died by trying to shirk responsibility for their failings.
